Every year approximately one thousand people die on the Czech roads, other thousands of traffic accident victims face lifelong injury consequences. Apart from direct loss of lives, health and property, the traffic accidents carry a lot of other hardly denumerable costs starting at financing trip of ambulance, continuing with health care service expenses followed by convalescence, eventually social benefits for disabled and impacts on relatives of traffic accident victims. Author's name: Petra Kahounová School: Charles University, Prague, Faculty of Arts Institute of Linguistics and Finno-Ugric Studies Náměstí Jana Palacha 2, 116 38 Praha 1 Program: Finnish language Title: Problems of consonant gradation in Finnish as a second language Consultant: Mgr. Lenka Fárová, Ph.D. Number of pages: 65 + 11 pages of attachments Number of attachments: 5 Year: 2012 Keywords: gradation of consonants in Finnish, corpus, analysis of mistakes, direct gradation, reverse gradation, student's language The aim of this thesis is to explore and describe mistakes made in the consonant gradation in interlanguage by students of Finnish language. Finnish has a complicated system of inflection in comparison with indoeuropean languages, so it is necessary to know the rules to create the right form of the word. The mistakes were found in czech and polish students' texts and I tried to identify in which types of gradation they are most frequent. Particular mistakes were sorted into groups according to types of consonant clusters. I compared what mistakes czech and polish students make, which mistakes are the most frequent and if there are some any similarities between these two nations. I focused on explanation of wrong word forms.

Driftová měření pro F-vrstvu ionosféry na stanici Průhonice - sezonní průběhy charakteristik pro klidné dny
Kouba, Daniel ; Šauli, Petra ; Boška, Josef ; Santolík, Ondřej
In the paper we concentrate on the F-region drift-data measured by the ionospheric station Pruhonice (50.0N, 14.6E). We demonstrate application of the skymap points selection method on the data set collected in 2006, during a period of low geomagnetic and solar activity. Using histograms of horizontal and vertical velocity components we found prevailing directions of plasma motion corresponding to specified ranges of velocities. Within the analyzed data we found significant decrease of the daily-maximal horizontal component from winter to summer 2006.

Risk of hybridization of threatened P. fruticosa with cultivated Prunus species
Musilová, Lenka ; Vít, Petr (advisor) ; Zahradníček, Jaroslav (referee)
Many agriculturally important fruit trees occur in the genus Prunus, among other also Sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) and Sweet cherry (Prunus avium). P. cerasus is considered to be an allopolyploid hybrid originated by hybridization of Prunus fruticosa (2n = 4x = 32) and P. avium (2n = 2x = 16). The world production of sour cherry fruit (P. cerasus) in 2008 is estimated to be more than 1, 15 million tones. Prunus fruticosa is a steppe (forest steppe) relict species, severely endangered in the Czech Republic (C2). The main threat of P. fruticosa are both the direct and indirect human activities, causing, above all the loss of natural biotopes and hybridization with cultivated species that ran wild to the nature. P. fruticosa hybridizes all over its occurrence area with wild P. cerasus (Sour cherry; which is not primary species of the Czech Republic) and originates fertile hybrid Prunus × eminens. The results of existing studies indicate that the hybrids are more common in the central Europe and that the frequency of hybridization rises towards the west. Such phenomenon is related to human activities (cherries cultivation and landscape changes). Many authors consider hybridization to be the main cause of endangerment of this species and noticed that in many habitats the hybrids could totally replace...
