Feeding ecology of the Stone marten (Martes foina) in Europe.
Nováková, Lucie ; Vohralík, Vladimír (advisor) ; Fuchs, Roman (referee)
During last decades, the stone marten, Martes foina (Erxleben, 1777) became a synanthropic animal and its population is increasing. This review is summarizing the knowledge about its feeding habits throughout Europe. In the first part the methods are introduced which are used for study of feeding ecology, for example scat analysis or the analysis of stomach and gut content. The way of calculations of some characteristic values most frequently used in study of feeding ecology of marten are described. In the second part the geographic variability and the seasonal changes in the marten's food in the different parts of Europe are analyzed. It seems that the type of habitat, in which the stone marten lives, affects its feeding habits. The differences its feeding in the urban and rural habitats are shown. There are intrahabitat differences too. In the third part of this work the main components of marten's food are described which include various small vertebrates, invertebrates (mostly insects) and fruit, and some marten's food specifics are discussed. Food resources provided by man are mentioned. Key words: feeding ecology, stone marten, Mustelidae

The climate protection under international law
Prokš, Marek ; Ondřej, Jan (advisor) ; Balaš, Vladimír (referee)
The climate protection under international law Key words: international climatic law, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Kyoto Protocol Abstract The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the system of climate protection in international law. In the thesis, there is described the history of the part of international law concerning climate changes, the contemporary international climatic law itself, and some of the most serious problems concerning the topic. The reason for my research is to introduce the basic system of international climatic law, as well as to show how modern international law is created. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes the international climatic law as a part of the international environmental law, shows the forms of treaties used in the international environmental law and presents the reasons why the form of framework convention was used in the case of international climatic law. The second chapter analyzes the history and evolution of international climatic law. From the first political declaration to the most recent international conventions, the most important milestones of the development of the international climatic law are shown. The third chapter presents the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change itself as the...

Preparation of X. tropicalis recombinant growth factors and their characterization in testicular tissue culture.
Borecká, Marianna ; Krylov, Vladimír (advisor) ; Drobná Krejčí, Eliška (referee)
In our Laboratory of Developmental Biology there was established a long term culture derived from Xenopus tropicalis testes. It contains pre-Sertoli cells mostly. They compose a feeder layer allowing cultivation of stem cells, revealing the morphology of spermatogonial stem cells. This diploma thesis was focused on a preparation of two growth factors, FGF2 (fibroblast growth factor 2) and GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor), with the subsequent characterization of their influence at cell culture mentioned above. Factors were selected on the basis of the microenvironmental niche theory, according which FGF2 and GDNF are the most important factors for spermatogonial stem cells proliferation and self-renewal. FGF2 recombinant factor was gained using the expression plasmid pET-15b. Its characterization in the testicular culture brought surprising result. Even a low concentration of FGF2 factor (2.5ng/ml) caused cell detaching and dying. Similar result was previously shown in differentiating osteoblast culture only. More experiments need to be done to prove if apoptose take place and why do testicular cells act this way. Key words: Xenopus tropicalis, FGF2, GDNF, SSC, pre-Seroli cells

The heavenly council imagery in the Old Testament and its parallels in the literatures of the ancient Near East
Mikulicová, Mlada ; Oliverius, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Ryšková, Mireia (referee) ; Hruška, Blahoslav (referee)
Adopted from the cultural tradition of the Ancient Near East, the heavenly council imagery is used in the Old Testament body as a literary theme in the shape of a background image, or eikon, to support the force of the Divine statement. More developed descriptions of this minimized image are evidenced in mythological fragments of Ugaritic Baal poetry, in the Mesopotamian epic of Enuma eliš, Etana, Nergal and Ereškigal, as well as in the combined text-picture ritual literature of Egyptian necropolises. The Divine Sovereign is pictured sitting on throne among the council of his kin. The obvious judgment character of these scenes suggests the same implicit action in process in the Old Testament image. God's council sits permanently, in suprahistorical dimension, viewed through metaphor and analogy. From there the Divine statement is transmitted to a historical performer of a role defined and entrusted to him by God in His ultimate plan. The figure of God is thus shown as that of a supreme ruler and judge. The heavenly council stands in silent consent to His decision. The judged one is the earthly king in his responsibility to the Lord of the universe for carrying out administration of the land. The prophetic theology of history sees the judgment passed on Israel - God's people (Isaiah) while wisdom (Job)...

Travel services provider can optimized their business thanks to competitive advantage.

Talent Management
Herlesová, Hana ; Šikýř, Martin (advisor) ; Lansky, Miroslav (referee)
This assignment aims on the differences between the theory and praxes in managing of talented workers. The first part of the assignment is elaborated on theoretical base only and it is focused mainly on explanation of "talent" and "talent management" expressions. Further on the first part describes specific areas where the accent in talent management is necessary. The second part on the contrary to the first part deals with practical issues, processes and programs of the IBM. With respect to the company's size it is necessary to have the talent management precisely prepared as a part of company strategy, which is accomplished as a company's routine not only as a paperwork. This part contains process description of talent identification, selection, development and also retaining talented workers. Single area descriptions are completed by pictures and tables to make it well-arranged. In this section there are partly compared praxes with the theory. There is shown confrontation among theoretically defined areas and processes of talent management and IBM's areas and processes of talent management. Also important is different understanding of "talent" between theory and praxes. The third part summarizes findings and conclusions based on the confrontation between practical and theoretical parts. The fourth part evaluates actual topic of world financial crisis and its impact on the field of talent management mainly from benefits and bonuses for talented workers point of view.
