The applied part aims to evaluate the quality of current public sector performance management in Czech Republic, to identify the current challenges and cast some light on possible solutions.
Influence of selected Factors on the Performance of Workers

This thesis deals with impact of the chosen factors on the performance of employees. It describes performance itself, productivity and difference between them. It examines factors which can have impact on the performance. There are analyzed different ways of evaluation of working performance and productivity and examined possible ways of performance management. There is analyzed which factors have impact on performance in chosen organization where research was made, using logistic regression. There are presented results of research and analyzed impact in practice. Finally it suggests possible solution and recommendation for management of the organization.
Evaluation and Performance management of a selected organization

This master thesis examines the evaluation system and performance management of a selected organization. It describes the theoretical basis and trends that firms are currently facing. Additionally this thesis analyses the evaluation system of a selected group of employees in the organization and assesses the system based on the analysis and the results of survey. At the end recommendations how to improve current evaluation system are presented.
Talent management in the company

This Master's Thesis deals with the issue of talent management at Tesco Stores ČR a.s. The main goal was to create an action plan for cooperation with talent's at Tesco Stores ČR a.s. leading to an increase in employee engagement. Through a detailed study of specialized literature, talent management and its processes, employee development, succession planning, career management and performance management were defined. An analysis of the current system of talent management in the company was created based on interviews and a questionnaire survey. A SWOT analysis generated recommendations and suggestions for improvement on specific activities for talents, optimization of succession plans and development programmes.
Design and development of the BI solution for human resources in AVG Technologies

The aim of this thesis is -- based on the theoretical knowledge of human resource manage-ment and theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Business Intelligence (BI) -- to design the Business Intelligence solution over the human resource management systems in the company AVG Technologies (hereinafter AVG). The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I describe methods, principles and practices of the human resource management, especially in context of employee performance management, performance evaluation and calibration. Then I focus on employee development. The next stage of the theoretical part describes functioning of the HRM (Human Resource Management) sys-tems. The functionality is explained by description of the systems used in the AVG. At the end of the theoretical part I mention some specifics of BI solutions for HRM systems. In the practical part I describe the creation of the BI solution. This part begins with the analysis in which -- based on the theoretical knowledge and analysis of the AVG's needs and requirements -- I define the actual assignment for the BI solution implementation pro-ject. Then I describe other analysis and implementation steps leading to the creation of the complete BI solution. In the conclusion I evaluate the achievement of the objectives and also real benefits of the solution for the AVG. I also define the suggestions and recommendations for further de-velopment of this solution.
Performance management system in the organization

The Master's Thesis is focused on the performance management system in the Bambino Kindergarten Company and the aim is to compare theoretical knowledge with the established and applied procedures in practice. The main goal of the Master's Thesis is to analyze the performance management system in the company. Partial purpose is to carry out an employee survey that reveals the perception of performance management by individual employees. Performance management system in the company is based on the theoretical knowledge and is set according to the theoretical requirements. Primary sources for the system analysis are internal documents from the company, personal interview with the CEO of the company and data from the employee survey. System analysis and collected data identify the strengths and weaknesses of the established and applied performance management system. Regard to the new data, suggestions are designed to optimize and improve the current situation.
Analysis of the employees evaluation system in XY company

This master thesis is focused on employees evaluation system / performance management in adidas ČR s.r.o. The important part of the thesis is the description of the system's design and analysis of its current functioning. Apart from the method of description also the personal interviews (with company`s managers) and the on-line questionaire (for the employees) were used to identify the biggest areas for improvement and to propose steps leading towards it. Results of this thesis represent the guidelines and ways to make the evaluation system in adidas ČR s.r.o. better functioning and more efficient.
Design of Balanced Scorecard information system

This thesis is about Balanced Scorecard methodology and about information systems that support Balanced Scorecard in business. The main goals for the thesis are creating a design of Balanced Scorecard for an existing company and then design a BSC information system for this company. Business strategy management is introduced in the beginning of the theoretical part of this thesis. The description of each perspective of Balanced Scorecard follows. There is also a focus on BSC and strategy modifications over the time and one chapter is devoted to metrics, different types of metrics and relationships between them. Application part introduces the company used in the thesis. Based on the knowledge from the theoretical part the Balanced Scorecard is designed for this specific company and then an information system design is created.
Performance Management of IT Support Companies

Aim of this work is to familiarize the reader with the complexity of providing IT support in a corporate environment and with the possibilities for its successful management using modern approaches such as ITIL and performance management. Furthermore, the realization of large amounts of data in various forms, which are available to us. And show of sample analysis and data presentation of the selected data file. The resulting data will be used for evaluation of the quality of user support and for performance management. Current key performance indicators of selected IT department and appropriate recommendations resulting from data analysis and experience will be introduced in practical part of the work.
Performance Management in Drama Theatre and Musical Theatre Sphere

Doctoral thesis deals with the performance management in drama theatre and musical theatre sphere. The dissertation aims to create a model of performance management for the sphere as a problem solving tool related to the performance management during the rehearsal period. The paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part deals with current trends and methods, problems and challenges of HR Management, evolving role of HR professionals and issue of performance management in general. Furthermore, the part deals with management of the cultural sector, human resources management in a theatre, activities of the rehearsal period and with performance in the drama theatre and musical theatre sphere. Empirical part comprises an analysis of the qualitative research, design of the performance management model and model verification via expert estimates. Important findings (such as activities significant for the performance management in the drama theatre and musical theatre sphere, the most common problems of the performance management in the sphere and their solution proposals etc.) are summarized in the conclusion of the doctoral thesis.
