In the empirical part the thesis focuses on causes of the participatory budgeting implementation and the laid down methodology approved by the Prague 10 municipal assembly in June 2015. Neither rules for proposal submissions nor the time schedule of the process are omitted. The thesis deals with different phases and the future outlook as well. An integral part of the thesis is the analysis of the actors who played key roles in the process. Apart from the case study the thesis maps the use of the participatory budgeting both abroad and in other Czech towns and cities.

Natural Sources of Chlorinated Volatile Hydrocarbons in Spruce Forest Undergrowth
Štangelová, Pavla ; Wimmer, Zdeněk ; Tesařová, E. ; Forczek, Sándor
Chlorine as one of the most frequently occurring elements in nature, is involved in biogeochemical\ncycles. Several anthropogenic and even natural sources of volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons of\nemission is known, yet natural sources have not been explored enough. The aim of this study is to\ngather information of potential sources of chlorinated organic hydrocarbons in spruce forest\nundergrowth. Emissions of chlorinated volatile hydrocarbons of selected species of bryophytes,\nferns and fungi were measured by SMPE sampling technique and analyzed with GC-MS analysis.\nSodium chloride solution was used as a stressor to simulate increased environmental chloride load.\nTrichloromethane (chloroform) was found in most natural samples, dichloromethane,\ntetrachloroethene and tetrachloromethane were found occasionally. Increased chloride\nconcentration caused elevated emissions of trichloromethane and tetrachloromethane in some plant\nspecies.

Pathos as a Natural Aspect of Film Narration
Soukupová, Irena ; VAJCHR, Marek (advisor) ; MRAVCOVÁ, Marie (referee)
In my work I deal with a phenomenon that has been discussed widely but still remains elusive pathos. Pathos bears significances for current society that are not always positive. That is why I am going to try to define it, as well as categorize it. I am going to describe the usage and exploitation of pathos in cinema. I am also going to think of pathos criteria or what it determines - is it still pathos or so called sentiment? Unlike sentiment, pathos has its historical background. Based on particular films and scenes analysis, I will clearly demonstrate how to work with pathos. I will also show how to create pathos itself altogether with pathetically tuned scenes by means of particular devices of film language.

Potential of cholesterol-loaded cyclodextrins and low density lipoprotein for increasing the efficiency of cryopreservation of epididymal sperms in stallions
Janošíková, Martina ; Rajmon, Radko (advisor)
In the case of sudden death or injury stallion reproductive system or necessary castration preventing the collection of semen can to preserve the genetic potential of exceptional individuals take advantage of epididymal sperm. Virtually the only way, how to preserve fertilizing sperm POTENTIAL for long time IS cryopreservation. However, this process induces irreversible changes that are the cause of the reduced number of sperm capable of fertilization after thawing. Epididymal sperm cells have properties different from the ejaculated, harder to keep. Therefore, they are constantly looking for ways to streamline their cryopreservation. GENERAL most commonly used cryoprotectants include glycerol and Egg yolk. Despite the positive effects is glycerol toxic to cells and Egg yolk also contains ingredients that act on sperm metabolism negatively. Increasing the efficiency of cryopreservation protocols themselves likely to be achieved by replacing toxic components while leveraging industry-produced active yolk fractions. Submitted dissertation topic itself will deal with the use of cholesterol-loaded cyclodextrins Along with low density lipoproteins, the cryopreservation of epididymal sperm. Main method: HPLC, Western blot, electrophoresis, fluorescent labels, computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA).

The analysis of causes of the youth unemployment (15-24 age class) in European Union in years 2000-2015
Šulai, Michal ; Czesaný, Slavoj (advisor) ; Bartůsková, Lucia (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to analyze main causes of youth unemployment in countries of European Union. In order to assess main determinants of this negative phenomenon, an econometric model based on panel data was constructed. Source dataset, containing mainly Eurostat data, covers EU-28 countries in the 2000-2014 period. Results of a regression inclined that youth unemployment is effected mainly by overall economic development. Youth unemployment is more sensitive for economic downturns than unemployment in an adult age class. The model also suggested that cuts in payroll taxes and deregulation in the minimum wage legislation could have positive effect on youth employment. Based on the literature, reforms toward more practical and effective education system with elements of dual apprenticeship, could be also a positive step in tackling youth unemployment. However, an econometric-based proof of this hypothesis was not found.
