Experimental research of specific absorbed rate at 3.0 Tesla magnetic rezonance scanner
RÁČEK, Jaroslav
The issue of the Specific Absorbed Rate (SAR) is becoming more interesting mainly due to new installations of MRi scanners of the magnetic field intensity of 3.0 Tesla (T). 3 T devices are characterized by quadruplicated SAR comparing to 1, 5 T devices. As it is possible to exceed set safety limits during examinations, it is important to monitor the SAR level. This thesis describes relations among parameters of examinational sequences, a patient{\crq}s weight and the Specific Absorbed Rate. The SAR also causes so called thermal stress, which can be dangerous namely for patients with impaired thermoregulation. Reaching the maximum allowed level of SAR causes the examination to be discontinued; the examination then can be more affected by artifacts or completely prematurely stopped. Most of the tests, during which the parameters of examinational sequences were changed, were performed using phantom. A part of this thesis is devoted to results of practical examinations of patients. Only standard examinational processes approved by the Ethical Committee of the Central Military Hospital Prague were performed while examining these patients. The results of individual tests are evaluated comprehensively in conclusion of this thesis and put into relations with practically used procedures of examination. Methods and procedures of reductions the SAR level are described in that part of this thesis.

This diploma thesis discourses on a German dialect in the Czech Republic. It is both generally and specifically engaged in research in dialectology, in its procedures and methods. It describes an existing research both in Germany and the Czech Republic. In its practical section you will find a description of a German dialect in the southern Moravia. It was done with help of audio recordings of two German native speakers who stayed in this area after the Second World War. The research was based on the audio recordings of the contemporary state of German dialect in southern Moravia.

Stylization procedures in texts by Ladislav Fuks
Fiřtíková, Andrea ; Merhaut, Luboš (advisor) ; Mravcová, Marie (referee)
This thesis deals with the stylization procedures used in the belletristic and journalistic texts written by Ladislav Fuks. The aim of the thesis is to define and demonstrate the basic distinctive methods and procedures such as repetition, intertextuality, ambiguity and mystification, ambivalence and autostylization. This thesis follows the methods mentioned above in characteristic exposures and transformations and examines the diversity of functions these methods fulfil in several texts of different nature. Furthermore, this thesis occupies with the relationship between these methods and author`s artistic stylization as well as to what extent he can be cogitated. This thesis is directed to defining the uniqueness of Fuks`s writing method which offers a variety of reading approaches. It allows to look at Fuks`s writing from different angles and observe the intensity of author`s personal attitudes projecting into his texts. Keywords Ladislav Fuks, stylization, stylization procedures, deliberateness, unpremeditation, repetition, intertextuality, ambiguity and mystification, ambivalence, autostylization, variation(s), memory

Analysis of the Regional Dimension of the Subsidy Programmes to Environmental Sphere during the 2004-2006 Programming Period
Zavřel, Leoš ; Blažek, Jiří (advisor) ; Trantinová, Marie (referee)
In this paper, regional allocation of capital expenditure in environmental sphere from the European cohesion policy is analysed. The analysis was performed for the projects financed during 2004-2006 programming period. Based on the comparison of estimated and actual intensities of support (proportion of the total allocation of 22 billion CZK), it was found that the relatively highest intensities of support were allocated to the regions with the medium-quality environment (Liberec region, Central Bohemia, Central and South Moravia), while the relatively lowest intensities of support were allocated to the regions with the lowest- or low-quality environment (Moravian-Silesian region, Ústí nad Labem region, Karlovy Vary region). The analogous conclusions resulted from an analysis of the relative positions of selected types of regions in the overall allocation of capital expenditure, because the metropolitan regions, national parks and protected landscape areas obtained relatively higher intensities of support and, vice versa, the structurally and environmentally affected regions obtained lower intensities of support. The findings of our research allow to conclude that the regional distribution of capital expenditure from public sources was in a contradiction with the strategic objectives of both the...

RDF querying
Dokulil, Jiří ; Vojtáš, Peter (referee) ; Pokorný, Jaroslav (advisor)
The RDF is one of the basic technologies of the Semantic Web. It is a language describing resources on the web. It de nes the format and semantics of such data but does not provide query capabilities. The aim of this thesis is to create system capable of querying RDF data. We have created a partial implementation of the SPARQL query language. The SPARQL standard is currently being developed by the W3C Consorcium. We have chosen the Oracle relational database to store the RDF data. The proposed database schema allows us to evaluate SPARQL queries by translating them into SQL queries. The proposed methods have been tested on a large set of RDF data. We have created several examples of SPARQL queries, translated them to SQL, and measured the evaluation time of the translated queries. Afterwards, factors with negative impact on the evaluation speed have been analyzed. We have proposed two ways of improving the evaluation times based on this analysis, implemented one of them, and measured its e ffects.

Romanian dramatic production in 60-70 years of 20th century
Mendlová, Petra ; Valentová, Libuše (advisor) ; Vajdová, Libuša (referee)
Romanian dramatic production of 60 - 70 years in 20th century is the topic of my diploma thesis. In this period of time dramatists they had much more freedom in their creativity than in previous years. Reason for that was politic release and that had led to artistic release as wel1. I have decided to analyze these four playwriters and their dramas: Ion Baie~u - Iertarea (Forgiveness), Chitimia, Vinovatul (Cuplrit), Escrocii in aer liber (Cheaters under the blue sky), Dresoarea de fantome (Ohosts buster). Teodor Mazilu - Pro~tii sub c1ar de luna (Fools under the moonlight), Ace~ti nebuni fiítamici (These crazy hypocrites), Frumos e in septembrie la Venetia (Beutiful Venice in september), Sarbatoarea princi ara (Prince ly banquet), PMaria de pe noptiera (Hat on the bedside table). Dumitru Radu Popescu - Ace~ti ingeri tri~ti (These sad ange1s), Piticul din gradina de vara (Dwarf in the summer garden), Visul (Dream), Dirijor (Conductor), Cezar, mascariciul piratilor (Cesar, c10wn ofthe pirates) Marin Sorescu - Iona (Jonah), Parac1iserul (S acrist) , Matca (River-channel), Raceala (Cold), A treia teapa (The third executive stake). In my diploma thesis I was mostly concem about the style of the dramas, what affected them, the strongest influence that allowed the artist to open up and describe specific1y each and...

Memory of Romany victims of the holocaust - detection camp in Lety u Písku and its afterwar history
Pařízková, Jindra ; Červenka, Jan (referee) ; Závodská, Milada (advisor)
This thesis portrays a connection of some well known facts on the Roma holocaust, the communist policy of assimilation, the situation of the Roma in contemporary society and the Roma ethnic and emancipatory efforts with the post war history of the former concentration camp in Lety near Pisek (Lety u Pisku), meant for entire Roma families. It maps the availability of information on the persecution of Romas during the Second World War by both governmental figures as well as by society and the impact of the insufficient distribution, publishing and non availability of these facts which are a trend continuing till today. The past regime allowed the construction of pig sties next to (and partly on) land that during the Second World War was the area of a so called "gipsy camp", in which almost 300 people, half of whom were children died, as a result of inhumane treatment and extreme living conditions. The governments of the post communist era did not address the issue until it became a scandal shaming the entire democratic world. Ten years have passed since the government made its rhetorical pledges to right a wrong and remove the pork feeding and production unit off a site that should have been a place of piety and remembrance for the Roma victims of the holocaust and not much has changed. The selling price of...

The problems of the Czech-German-Jewish coexistence in Moritz Hartmann's life and work
Nichtburgerová, Petra ; Petrbok, Václav (referee) ; Stromšík, Jiří (advisor)
This Thesis works out the issue of the Czech-German-Jewish Relations in Moritz Hartmann's Life and Work. As a Jew growing up in a Czech village, he received a German education. Talented in writing, he became a politically oriented author, who similarly to Heine knew how to use old forms to put into them a new political content. Hartmann used very often a form of a monk diary or used even a character of a writing monk, who is trying to be objective, but is on the contrary very subjective. This form is not by chance a form of at that time newly found medieval Czech manuscript, which proved to a be falsification in the 20th Century. Hartmann is not only using a form related to the Czech National Movement, but also topics from Bohemian history occur in the majority of his works. Hartmann's Bohemian motives raised a debate on two different issues. Are the topics purely Czech or are they Bohemian? Can a history belong to a single nation in a multicultural environment? The other issue is Hartmann's legitimacy of using the Bohemian history. Is he as a German writing and a pro German feeling Jew from Bohemia allowed to loving the Bohemian country? Is he allowed to make a comparison with the Jewish fate and history? Hartmann's temporary and later Czech critics argued negatively. They were afraid of Hartmann's...

Physiotherapeutic procedures in paraplegics after spinal cord lesion
Dušková, Tereza ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Mende, Karel (referee)
Rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury begins immediately after the accident. Before begining a particular therapy, a specific neurological examination according to ASIA (American Spinal Injury Association) protocol is required, which allows to determine the level and severity of neurological damage. Specific rehabilitation procedures and methods are used to minimalize the neurological and functional deficits that occur after spinal cord injury. Procedures that are used include procedures from rehabilitation nursing, pasive and active movements, methods based on neurophysiology, techniques from breathing therapy, manipulative therapy, exercises with apparatus (MotoMed, Lokomat), FES, IMF-therapy, verticalisation, relaxation techniques, physical therapy and other. The goal of therapeutic rehabilitation in acute, subacute and chronic phase of spinal cord injury is maximal restoration of function, best use of remnant muscle potential and the formation of alternative mechanisms to reach the highest level of self-sufficiency and quality of life.
