Stress rate ice hockey players in the game
Název: Zatížení hráčů ledního hokeje v utkání Název v angličtině: Stress rate ice hockey players in game Cíle práce: Cílem práce je zjistit zatížení hráčů ledního hokeje v mistrovských utkáních a porovnat zatížení v jednotlivých početních situacích. Metoda: Pomocí metody monitorování srdeční frekvence byly získány hodnoty srdeční frekvence v utkáních. Hodnocení proběhlo u pěti hráčů Benátek nad Jizerou. Diplomová práce je vedena jako případová studie. Výsledky jsou analyzovány popisnou statistikou. Výsledky: Výsledky poukazují na různé zatížení v jednotlivých početních situacích.

Determination of stability constants of charged cyclodextrine complexes by capillary electrophoresis

Martin Beneš Determination of stability constants of charged cyclodextrin comlexes by capillary electrophoresis Abstract Stability constant characterizes binding interaction between an analyte and complexation agent. These interactions play very important role in separation processes of, in other way undistinguishable, compounds, e.g. enantiomers. The most widely used complexation agents are cyclodextrins. Affinity capillary electrophoresis (ACE) belongs to methods suitable for the determination of stability constants. The stability constant is determined from the dependence of the effective mobility of analyte on the increasing concentration of complexation agent in background electrolyte (BGE). If charged CDs are used, the attention must be paid not only to viscosity of the BGE and to the influence of Joule heating on the temperature in the capillary but also to the increasing ionic strength. The thermodynamic stability constants of R,R- and S,S-hydrobenzoin and R- and S-(3-brom- 2-methyl-1-propanol) with cationic modified β-cyclodextrin: 6-monodeoxy-6-mono(3- hydroxy)propylamino-β-cyclodextrin hydrochlorid (PABCD) were determined by affinity capillary electrophoresis. The average temperature (25řC) of the BGE in the capillary was kept constant. This was achieved by decreasing of the cassette temperature...

Sojková, Karin ; Lomová, Olga (referee) ; Maršálek, Jakub (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with gardens, parks and animal enclosures during the Han dynasty. In the first part focuses on questions of hunting parks and gardens in the pre-Han period, and it lays particular stress on imperial parks of the Qin dynasty. In the main part it focuses on imperial as well as private parks and gardens during the Han dynasty, which are described and examined from different points of view. The work is concentrated on the material description, importance and functions of different kinds of gardens and parks, as well as their political, social and ritual connotations.

Adhesion, growth and stress adaptation of vascular smooth muscle cells in cultures on collagen I degraded by matrix metalloproteinases-13
Bačáková, Lucie ; Herget, J. ; Novotná, J. ; Eckhardt, Adam ; Lisá, Věra
Degradation of collagen I by matrix metalloproteinase-13 resulted in a lower adhesion, higher proliferation, higher concentration of heath shock protein 60, higher cell death and loss of differentiation markers in rat aortic smooth muscle cells in cultures on this substrate.

Oxidative stress and its role in respiratory diseases
Zakouřilová, Jana ; Melicharová, Ludmila (referee) ; Pourová, Jana (advisor)
Free radicals are essential part of common physiological metabolic processes in the organism. They are involved in the protection of the organism from heterogeneous elements, participate in many chemical reactions, serve as substrates for a numer of enzymes, have a signal function, mediate vasodilatation and also participate in reproduction. However all these functions must be under continous and strict control of antioxidant mechanisms because free radicals are also highly reactive substances. Failure of antioxidant control mechanisms can give rise to or at least contribute to serious damage of genetic information, molecules, tissues or regulatory mechanisms. The purpose of antioxidant protection of the organism is to counteract the negative effect of free radicals, even during and ongoing disease. The system is extremely complex, its individual components cooperate and sometime are in synergy with one another. The overproduction of free radicals can participate in the pathogenesis of many diseases of the respiratory system (for example: COPD, asthma bronchiale, ARDS, lung cancer). In the treatment of the diseases with suspected overproduction of free radicals, antioxidants may also be administered during therapy. To achieve good results, exact assessement of the actual condition of the organism...

Trade Related Aspects of Patent Protection in Pharmaceuticals
Trojanová, Kamila ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Machková, Hana (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the trade-related aspects of patent protection in pharmaceuticals. The first part focuses on the international regulation of patent protection and its impact on conducting business in the pharmaceutical industry. Chapter Two addresses the issue of relevant trade-related aspects - patent duration, parallel imports and compulsory licence. It describes the impact of patent protection on the generic pharmaceutical industry. Chapter Three concentrates on the attitudes of the pharmaceutical industry and governments, especially those of developing countries. It examines the progress within the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Subjective perception of during predominantly concentric and predominantly eccentric excercise
Opálková, Michaela ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
This thesis pursues the function of human skeletal muscle. It describes the sarcomere and current theories of the muscle contraction. In addition to conventional sliding sarcomere theory the new large - scale model is included. It is called rotational theory and it works on the basis of rotating helical molecules which are functionally coupled. Muscle reaction to stretching in dependence on the stretch length and velocity are folded in. The chapter Neural Commands is not comprehensive. Its purpose is to review the differences between neural control of concentric and eccentric contraction, respectively. Following parts summarize the integration of eccentric contraction into human movement, instantaneous reactions and adaptation processes. The last theoretical part deals with subjective perception of stress during predominantly concentric and predominantly eccentric exercise. The applied part consists of the outcomes of measurement of peak and averaged heart rate before and after bouts of running with predominantly concentric (uphill running) and predominantly eccentric (downhill running) exercise. Subjective rate of physical and psychical condition were registered at identical situation using visual analogue scale. Twelve high school students were measured. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Study of retention behaviour of neopterine in HILIC chromatographic system with different stationary phases
Matula, Aleš ; Nováková, Lucie (advisor) ; Šatínský, Dalibor (referee)
TITLE: The study of neopterin retention characteristics in HILIC chromatography system with different types of stacionary phases SUMMARY: This graduation thesis was dealing with the development of an analytical method for the identification and quantification of biologically active substances biopterin, neopterin and 7,8-dihydroneopterin by hydrophilic liquid interaction chromatography (HILIC) connected to fluorescence detection. Neopterin represents an important and useful parameter for monitoring of the immune system activation, that accompanies different infectious and autoimmune diseases. Increased level of neopterin concentration can be observed in several types of malignant tumors. Recently the coherency between neopterin, 7,8-dihydroneopterin and intracelular oxidative stress and apoptosis of the cells has been demonstrated. Totally reduced form of biopterin serves as a cofactor of some enzymes in human organism. HILIC is an option of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Three chromatographic columns (LUNA HILIC, OBELISK R, OBELISK N) were tested at different chromatografic conditions. Mobile phase consisted of mixture of aqueous component (ammonium acetate buffer, acetic acid, water) and water miscible organic component (acetonitrile). The mixture of acetonitrile and 100mM ammonium acetate...
