Numerical solution of compressible flow
Prokopová, Jaroslava ; Feistauer, Miloslav (advisor)
This work deals with the problem of inviscid, compressible flow in a timedependent domain. We describe mathematical properties of the Euler equations and the system of governing equations is solved with the aid of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method (DGFEM) in the time-indepentent domain. The main aim of this work is the study of this problem in time-dependent domains. For this reason the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method is presented. The governing equations are formulated in the ALE formulation and discretized in space and time by the DGFEM. Shortly we mention the shock capturing of the obtained scheme and the solution of the resulting linear system with the aid of Generalized Minimal Residual (GMRES) method. At the end of this work we present and compare results obtained by two different ALE formulations of the governing equations in the rectangular domain with a moving part of lower wall.

New regulation of financial markets
Pokorný, Tomáš ; Munzi, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Pavel (referee)
In the entrance of my bachelor's thesis I'm going to try to determinate and divide financial market, explain expresions regulation, supervision and generall aims of the regulation and supervision of financial markets. I will be finding out why the world resorts for even bigger and more rigid regulation of financial markets, who seeks the most for the regulation or on the other hand who is afraid of it. Whether one of the reason of crisis was or was not lack of the regulation or if it was moral hazard and principles is still the big theoretical-practical issue. Whereas particular grouping such as United States of America and Eropean Union have different imagination how the regulation of financial markets should look like and that's why I will be interested in these individual concepts. The aim of my bachelor's thesis will evaluate new concepts of regulation provision.

International regulation of hand weapons business
Krbaťová, Anna ; Šturma, Pavel (advisor) ; Ondřej, Jan (referee)
74 On the global level, there is a UN Programme of Action which was created at the 2001 UN Conference. The POA is not binding, is very wide in its scope and supposes the main activities at the national level. It is meant as a set of principles which are to be realized step by step by regional initiatices and states. Based on the POA, a draft of a global Arms Trade Treaty has been prepared. There is no agreement yet on the scope and parameters of the ATT. Actually, it is still not clear whether the UN member states will support it. The Secretary General asked states for their position to the feasibility, scope and parameters of a potential ATT. Although only 100 states submitted their positions, there was a general agreement on the feasibility of the ATT. Followingly, an Open-Ended Working Group has been appointed in 2008 to find provisions to which the states could possibly comply to. This Group will meet three times in 2009 and then submit their findings to the General Assembly. At the same time there is a strong support for the ATT from civil society and especially the network of non-governmental organizations which prepared the Working draft of the Framework Convention on Arms Transfers. There are three possibilities of future development of the ATT: 1. ATT will be approved as a global treaty consisting...

Efficient competency model
Hoffmannová, Anna ; Štikar, Jiří (referee) ; Riegel, Karel (advisor)
Methodology of competencies developed from researches focused on determining the properties and characteristics which are involved in the distinction between average and superior performance. A contribution of competency model is that it helps employees to identify the success criteria required to be successful in their current or future job. Determination of requirements for certain positions allows subsequently to compare a current level of skills of employees with the required ones. An effective competency model supports and contributes to the objectives strategy goals of the organization. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the current approaches and findings on this issue. In the practical part, we test and verify competency model. Using a revision of one competency model and creating a new model subsequently we check whether the model used in the company reflects really the strategic needs and whether is linked to others HR processes. For this purpose, the model is subjected to complete analysis that determines gaps and opportunities for improvement. Results are implemented in the solution of the new situation. The work emphasizes the idea that competency model is not universal and the effectiveness of their applications lies in their abilities to be identified, defined, understood and...

Turkic nomadic tribes of the Central Asia, in fact the traditional material and spiritual cultures of nomadic Kazakh, Kyrkyz, Turkmen and Uzbek peoples, are described in this diploma paper. Territory classified in this paper as Central Asia is limited to the territory of five states: Kazakhstan, Kyrkyzstan, Turkmenstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The theme is also limited by other linquistic and political criteria. Therefore e.g. Tajik (belonging to Iranian linguistic family) or Karakalpak cultures (ethnic minority within Uzbekistan territory) are set aside this theme. The whole paper is divided into two parts, the former one consisting of five chapters introducing the area and its historical background represents the essentials for the latter one devoted to the phenomenon of nomadic shephards and manifestation of their culture. The period between the 18th century and the 20s of the 20th century is described in the second part. Most of the first records were provided by the Russian researchers. After the Soviet Union had been established further field research and ethnographic expeditions were organized and vast amount of materials dealing with cultures of the Central Asian peoples were gathered. This paper is aimed at introducing basic facts of traditional nomadic shepherds culture, the majority of them...
