Requirements for manager in the construction engineering

This diploma thesis is focused to requirements for manager in the construction engineering. The theoretical part briefly describes the management and its role in the construction. After that, the work devotes itself to the requirements, functions and techniques of construction manager. The empirical part is looking into the establishment of hypotheses which were either confirmed or disproved in a questionnaire research, concentrated on construction companies and senior students in the field of Management building at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. One of the empirical part is analysis of jobs as a manager in the construction industry. This research is enriched by guided interviews, which is followed by conclusions and subsequent recommendations for both civil society, students and also for the faculty.
Comparison of methods for valuation of buildings in the Czech Republic and Russia

There is a close cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic. Trade takes place in construction industry both with the supplies of investments as well as in other areas and activities. It is quite clear, that the experts need to understand the rules of pricing in construction industry in the respective countries. Apparently, methods of valuation of building projects in Russia and Czech Republic need to be compared. Thesis tackles the problems of life-cycle of construction projects and valuation of buildings in Russia and the Czech Republic. Problems under construction have been analyzed. Dissertation explains the questions of methodology and valuation procedures, and with this related legislation, sorting systems, normative documents. The problem of calculating of unit prices of construction work has been explained. Theoretical part is complemented practical examples of comparison of building estimation in Russian and Czech estimating system. The main result of the work is the comparison of methods for valuation of buildings in Czech Republic and Russia in construction projects. The assessments of methods for valuation of buildings in these countries and their comparison with the selected criteria have been made.
Effectiveness of Marketing Activities in Preparatory Phase of Construction Life Cycle

This doctoral thesis "The effectiveness of marketing activities in the preparatory phase of the life cycle of construction" deals with the possibility of more effective marketing activities in preparation for construction. The main goal of the thesis is, based on the analysis of the current state of the use of marketing activities from the view of a building contractor and building users, to propose a methodological indicators suitable for assessing the effectiveness of marketing activities in the preparatory phase of the life cycle of the building.The theoretical part is an overview of the current state of knowledge in areas related to efficiency, marketing, product life cycle and construction. In the practical part is to find out which marketing activities and effectiveness criteria are used in the preparatory phase of the life cycle of the building. The findings on the relationship to the use of individual elements of marketing activities and effectiveness criteria from the perspective building contractor and building users are summarized. Subsequently it is evaluated achieved financial efficiency of construction companies and assessed its link to relationship marketing activities. For a comprehensive evaluation are also used results of the analysis of selected financial indicators. Based on the findings is designed methodical indicator for assessing the effectiveness of marketing activities in the preparatory phase of the life cycle of the building. In conclusion, barriers and opportunities for application of the methodology of creation and use of indicators in practice are evaluated.
Influence of Grant on Construction in the Czech Republic

The aim of the work is to chart grant used for the construction sector and subsequently analyze the impact of the subsidies on the development of the construction output in the Czech Republic. In the first part is defined by the distribution of construction output and describes the development of the construction industry, subsequently described subsidies used in the Czech Republic. The second part is divided into two sections, the first on is dedicated to the processed questionnaire and its output. The second section is analytical. The questionnaire is focused on the use of subsidies in the Czech Republic. The analytical part is focused on creating an evolution of subsidies on construction aktivity for a certain period.

This thesis deals with the Labour Inspection in construction industry. First, the basic concepts, legal norms and developlment of the Labour Inspection in the Czech republic are summarized. Then follows description of the Labour Inspection authorities, which are the State Labour Inspectorate and the Regional inspectorates. The area of safety and health protection in the construction industry, concept of Safe enterprise and "Švarc" systém are processed separately. Finally, analysis of the Labour Inspection activities in construction between 2006 - 2011 is performed, with a detailed focus on the year 2011.

The diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a marketing strategy proposal for the company Dach system s.r.o. The thesis is standardly split into the theoretical, practical and propositional part. The theoretical part contains an overview and research of selected resources and the practical part, being rooted in the aim of the paper itself, focuses on the analysis of external and internal environment of the company. Bearing in mind the current activities of the company, the propositional part introduces upon the basis of the results of the particular analyses detailed solution proposals, which will lead to a further development of the company and to an increase in its competitiveness.

This master thesis deals with possibilities and conditions of entry on challenging market in Russian Federation from the point of view of setting up of company or purchasing of a existing one and also from the point of view of specifications, which are existing only just in Russia. The assignment is geographically defined on Leningrad region with focus on the urban center St. Petersburg and with branch specified on construction industry. On basis of analyzed facts in the field of accounting standards, taxation and law environment this assignment contains the recommendations in which way and with help of which procedures enter the market.
Activities of Real Estate Agencies

The aim of this thesis is to point out the lack of legislation at the current local real estate market, analyze the issues clients may encounter and compare the advantages associated with trading in cooperation with real estate agencies. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts of the real estate market and its activities to the reader. Its comparison with the UK real estate market is especially interesting. The second part follows a case study in the form of a questionnaire, which processes the public opinion on the activities of real estate agency. Arrangements are suggested based on the results of the questionnaire to reduce clients’ dissatisfaction. The thesis concludes with a practical example of showing the advantages gained through the cooperation with real estate agencies.
IT application portfolio of a large construction company

The main goal of the thesis is to identify, describe and evaluate methods in support of a complex 3-step process of pre-construction, construction and post-construction by information technologies. This thesis finds an answer to a question regarding management of construction processes of a large construction company which uses one large, internally integrated ERP software. The thesis deals with the following assertions that either all processes, related to construction, can be managed within one voluminous ERP software, or that additional third-party applications have to be used and, furthermore, integrated into one coherent IT functional model. The theoretical part describes crucial terms in construction industry and informs the reader that the question is resolved in the environment of a selected large construction company Skanska a.s., which uses SAP R/3 as its main ERP system. Key business processes are defined in this part, too. The practical part thoroughly analyzes and evaluates the level of coverage of these identified processes by previously mentioned software or third-party applications. The thesis also clarifies IT background operations linked to managing both construction and non-construction processes and educates the reader with an integration logic within corresponding application portfolio.
