Environmental education in cities - methods of work with children in spare-time activities

The introduced PhDr thesis is focused on the methods of children's education that can be applied within environmental education in the environment of a city. There is lack of access to the nature in cities, especially in housing estates. Besides there is a rising demand for environmental education of children who grow up without natural approach to the nature in general. The starting point of this thesis is the question of possibilities that are available for pedagogues dealing with environmental education in children's leisure time in cities. The thesis draws on three different branches: pedagogy of leisure time, environmental education, methods of work with children. Each branch gives important foundation for organizing a leisure club dedicated on environmental education. Problems of car-driving under alcohol intoxication focused on the driver risking behaviour

The bachelor's work is focused on car-driving under alcohol intoxication. This work considers a risky behaviour of drivers related to alcohol consuming and reasons which lead to hazardous behaviour on the roads. It also informs about possible risks and consequences connected with this problems and statistic survey of accidents due to driving under alcohol influence. This work further informs about an alcohol influence on a human, about possibilities of prevention in traffic, and about generally attitude of Czech society to this legal drug. The survival part addressed two hundred volunteers who filled my questionnaire out. One hundred and nine people were used as a representative sample to ilustrate the situtation connected to driving under alcohol intoxication. The survival is concerned on pesonal features of the volunteers and on circumstences which determined the volunteers who drank alcohol and then drove. The survival realized on the base of the questionnaire which was either delivered by e-mail or personally. The result of this 6 survival is informations which describes a driver who tends to accept the risk of alcohol driving and resons which can be reponsible for alcohol driving.

Primary prevention problems of socio-pathologic phenomena at secondary schools

Dissertation brings summary knowledge about theory and practice of primary prevention realization of socio-pathologic phenomena within secondary school environment. Its target is to contribute to current discussion about effective prevention form in school and to enrich prevention cognition for empirical research findings. First part of dissertation is based on knowledge from several branches of science, nevertheless unifying view goes from sociál pedagogy range. Author deals with problems of socio-pathologic effects, their theoretic defínition and description of these effects that are endangering secondary school pupils. Practical part of dissertation analyses and compares approaches and problems, which are occurring in European and Czech context within primary prevention realization in secondary school. Third part is empirical research, which is set out for two phases. In the first phase is point of interest the teacher, which as an prevention methodist guarantees compliance with targets, content and prevention methods of prevention in the school. In the second phase then dissertation deals with views of secondary school pupils on selected socio-pathologic effects and prevention programs, which are in use at the schools. Application of CLIL in Primary Education

The diploma thesis is concentrated on CLIL, an innovative method of teaching. It integrates the content and the language learning. The aim of this work is to find out how CLIL is actually realized at primary schools and discover the possibilities and the limits of this method. The theoretical part of this work is based on the literature and it summarizes the main characteristic of Content and Language Integrated Learning. The practical part of this diploma thesis is an outcome of qualitative research. As the methods of research I used interviews with teachers, observations, a realization and a following reflection of a lesson which was planned and based on the principles of CLIL. The result of this work is the analysis of the CLIL lessons in primary education and the analysis of the possibilities and the limits of this method. The Relationship between Language and Thought, Natural Bilingualism, Bilingual Instruction Realized at Schools in the Czech Republic with a focus on the German Language

Thema dieser Diplomarbeit ist bilinguale Ausbildung in der Tschechischen Republik mit dem Schwerpunkt auf die deutsch-tschechische bilinguale Ausbildung. Ihre Geschichte, gegenwärtiger Stand und nicht zuletzt deren möglichen Schwierigkeiten in Hinsicht auf die aktuellen Veränderungen im tschechischen Bildungssystem. Der theoretische Teil behandelt die Sprache im Allgemeinen, ihre Definitionen und Funktionen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dabei dem Verhältnis zwischen der Sprache und dem Denken gewidmet. Es wird auch die Problematik des Sprachenerwerbs bei der Muttersprache behandelt, sowie die theoretischen Konzeptionen und die einzelnen Phasen des Erwerbs. Das dritte Kapitel befasst sich mit den theoretischen Grundlagen des Terminus Bilingualismus oder auch Zweisprachigkeit und deren komplizierten und nicht einheitlichen Definitionen. Welche Gründe des Bilingualismus finden wir, nach welchen Kriterien wird er eingeteilt. Aus den verschiedenen Typen des Bilingualismus ( individueller, kolektiver, koordinativer, usw.) wird im dem praktischen Teil der Arbeit der schulische Bilingualismus betrachtet.

The Comparison of Transfer Methods under Winter Conditions in Selected NATO Armies and Other Cooperating Armies

Title: Comparison of Ways of Transfer under Winter Conditions m Selected NATO Arrnies and Other Cooperative Armies The aim of the work: The aim ofthe work is to compare the selected armies in the folloving spheres: legal support, medical support, frequency of trainings, training guidance and the problems of kitbag and materials. Methods: The thesis was drafted in the form of a pilot project via questionnaire. The questionnaire was sent to eleven European Armies. The armies were chosen randomly according to their geographic locations considering the possibilities of transfer realization in winter conditions. Nine out ofeleven respondents filled in the questionnaire. As the participation in all army trainings would be time - consuming and unrealistic we chose a questionnaire, including 27 questions, to gather all the information. It was filled in by qualified army instructors. The data was processed bay means of descriptive statistics. Results: The result of this study proved that the Czech Army is capable of competing with other armies as for as training is concemed, mainly in the spheres of medical support, frequency of trainings and kitbag and materials. Depth Map Estimation from Stereo Images

This thesis is dedicated to the problem of stereo vision and 3D reconstruction from stereo image. Spatial perception is realized by using depth map, which is created by using disparity map. Main goal of this work is to create an application for estimating object distance from car using methods for depth map estimation. The work also includes description of main steps to achieve goal, like image capturing, stereo camera calibration, image rectification and disparity estimation. The result of this work is an experimental solution for monitoring system used in cars, which focuses on pedestrian detection in front of the car, and calculates its distance by using depth map. Part of this work is also creating test set, which is used for evaluating the accuracy of this system.
