Comprehensive education in the family and school in the prevention of child accidents.
KALOUSKOVÁ, Ivana
The aim was to map the knowledge of the surveyed group of respondents (students, parents, teachers) in a first aid, then to map the knowledge about the prevention of the children?s injuries and determine a frequency of the injuries among children in elementary schools in the South Bohemian Region. The survey proved that boys are affected by injuries more often than girls. .The injury occurs the most during sports, at home and at school. With assessing the injury, according to the type of injury, I found out, that most of the injuries fall into the group of fractures, contusions and joint luxation. According to the results of the study was found that as education of parents is not reflected in the injury. Most injuries were confirmed by parents with higher vocational education, the least injuries of parents with primary education. School injuries were confirmed at more local school when compared with schools in the city. The results of this work could be the basis for a project or program in preventing injuries. Furthermore, this work is based on feedback to primary schools, thus preventing the most common injuries, which were statistically evaluated.

The Conditions for Spontaneous Movement Activities for Children at the Lower Level of Primary School in a Housing Estate
Kratochvílová, Hana ; Hronzová, Marie (referee) ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor)
The aim of this work was to find out and deseribe the conditions for spontaneous movement in the city and wether their needs and wishes are respected and wether the playgrounds correspond with the norms and the proposal of the specialist. The theoretical part deals with the role of the playground in children's lives, with creating of conditions for movement and with the influence on their helth. I have used seven different methods in my work: a questionnaire, a project method, an individual and group discussion with children, interviews with experts and architects, an analysis and controll of the conditions for movement, a systematic non-committed observation. I stated eight hypotheses to reach the individual partial goals. I supposed that transport attainablity of the playgrounds and sport grounds is within the reach of walking and means of transport. And that children prefer swimming and playing in wather to the games in the playgrounds, that children in the playgrounds miss the natural elements, that from all the elementa of play they will use the slide, the swing and the sand-pit and that this equipment will be considered as the elements which mustn't be absent. The result of the research isthe statement that the elements of play are in accordance with safety regulations ČSN and the demands of children...

Municipal books of Kadaň and administration of the town in the years 1465 - 1620 Work deals with two nearly connected topics. First topic is diplomatic description and palaeographic analysis group of 43 books that were guided by the office of royal town Kadaň. Description and analysis refer to existing research of these issues (I.1 Possibilities of studies and accesses of municipal books). Books are minutely described in chapter I.7 Index of municipal books of Kadaň from years 1465-1620. They were disposed for the first time during World War I; for next and last time fund was sequenced in years 1966-1968 (I.2 Fortunes of municipal books of Kadaň to the third quarter of 20th century). Books were divided into four groups for purposes of next processing and classification: books of municipal administration (in the strict sense of the word); indisputable civil law books; disputable civil law books and books of villages under municipal domination (I.3. Contentual fission of preserved official city registers of Kadaň). According to various written allusions it is possible to identify circa thirty lost books; this number cannot be final indeed (I.4. Pavelková, Linda ; Županič, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Markéta (referee)
My thesis History of house n. 136 in the centre of Kutná Hora focuses on the history house, particularly the house n. 136 in Kutná Hora. It is a medieval house which is situated in the southern part of the historical centre of the town and which is the Gothic foundations. House building is evidence of the historical development of the city from its the beginnings to the present. The main aim of my project was looking up for as much as possible information available which touching the history of the house. The primary recourse was a rewrite the city's books by Jan Fiala. The second part of my project talks about the extensive reconstruction of the house, which runs nowadays. This section includes a description of the actual reconstruction itself and also description of the restored Gothic portals and description of several findings that were found during the reconstruction of the house. Conclusion summarizes and generalizes the ideas developed in the body of the text itself.

Kunín in the years 1918-1948. Changes in national structure of population in the city
Vedle...

Eight year grammar schools - escape or opportunity?
Vágnerová, Alena ; Veselý, Arnošt (advisor) ; Kalous, Jaroslav (referee)
Diploma thesis "Eight-year grammar schools - escape or opportunity?" deals with controversial part of the czech educational system. Eight-year grammar schools have been established in 1849 and are part of czech educational system ever since with an interruption since 1948 to 1990. Their renewal in 1990 was motivated by return to tradition and need for high quality education for future elite. These arguments aren't to persuasive in closer view. Firstly grammar schools nowadays are different from those in the past and secondly results of researches do not confirm advantages of ability tracking. Approach of Ministery of Education to this institution changes with time, its inconsistency mirrors in differences in supply of this kind of education in regions and cities throughout the Czech Republic. This raises the question of equality of educational opportunity and fairness of such a arrangement. Eight-year grammar schools are especially popular in Prague because of their "elite" status, but the motivation of applicants is not so straightforward as a lot of them seek rather an escape from dissatisfying conditions in an elementary school than opportunity of a higher quality education.

The influence of reskilling to employment of job applicants in the local job market
Švarcová, Miroslava ; Krištofová, Zuzana (referee) ; Šerák, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with reskilling issue. Preamble describes general theoretical principles which are related to unemployment and risk's groups that are mostly endangered. This essay gets point out of reskills's education in Czech Republic, describes this issue since own historical evolution and finally puts mind to present possibilities of reskilling in Most district. Integral part of the thesis is characterization of Most region which is specific with high rate of unemployment and limited work chance. Therefore the thesis is mainly focused to reskilling which is provided by labour office for jobless people. Statistical returns, used and analyzed in bachelor's thesis, comes from period 2004-2008 and are connected to reskilling which were realized by labour office of the Most City. The purpose of my analyses is comparing influence of age, education and gender for entrance to reskilling process. As well as there are results of reskilling of determined risk groups.

Brčko Distrikt- from conflict to integration
Avdic, Adisa ; Lisa, Aleš (advisor) ; Prorok, Vladimír (referee)
When the Dayton Peace Agreement were signed in 1995, Brcko was one of the most war-torn areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Carl Blidt, former High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, described Brčko as the place where the world has come to an end. In 2009, the scars of war in Brcko, are not visible at first sight. Damaged and destroyed buildings were largely repaired or rebuilt, the city has a relaxed atmosphere and there are visible signs of economic development. In its ten years of existence, despite all the political and economic difficulties, this political model has proved to be successful as an oasis of liberal democracy in the country which still faces conflicts between various ethnic groups. The concept of liberal democracy, in the example of Brcko District, has come to existence in the form of multi-ethnic society, including multiethnic education, judiciary and police.

Gradient Boosting Machine and Artificial Neural Networks in R and H2O
Sabo, Juraj ; Bašta, Milan (advisor) ; Plašil, Miroslav (referee)
Artificial neural networks are fascinating machine learning algorithms. They used to be considered unreliable and computationally very expensive. Now it is known that modern neural networks can be quite useful, but their computational expensiveness unfortunately remains. Statistical boosting is considered to be one of the most important machine learning ideas. It is based on an ensemble of weak models that together create a powerful learning system. The goal of this thesis is the comparison of these machine learning models on three use cases. The first use case deals with modeling the probability of burglary in the city of Chicago. The second use case is the typical example of customer churn prediction in telecommunication industry and the last use case is related to the problematic of the computer vision. The second goal of this thesis is to introduce an open-source machine learning platform called H2O. It includes, among other things, an interface for R and it is designed to run in standalone mode or on Hadoop. The thesis also includes the introduction into an open-source software library Apache Hadoop that allows for distributed processing of big data. Concretely into its open-source distribution Hortonworks Data Platform.

Immigration and Integration Policy of France - at the Supranational, National and Local Level
Seidlová, Markéta ; Drbohlav, Dušan (advisor) ; Uherek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rozumek, Martin (referee)
The thesis analyzes immigration and integration policy of France at the three different levels (supranational, national and local), while the choice of France was inspired by the fact that this country has among the European ones the longest tradition of receiving immigrants. The work is based on theoretical and conceptual approaches to international migration as well as on immigration and integration policies. In case of theoretical and conceptual approaches, it was mostly inspired by the concept of Heckmann' four dimensions of the process of social integration (Heckmann and Schnapper, 2003; Bosswick and Heckmann, 2006), by the Entzinger' and Biezeveld' (2003) assessment of integration as the resulting state and especially by Alexander's (2007) classification of policies implemented by local authorities, which allows as one of rare concepts to compare policy-making at the national and local level. From the methodological point of view, two regions which best suited the preliminary requirements on different share of immigrants in population on each territory and the difference between "city in rural area - metropolis" were chosen: Paris (or more precisely its 14 districts) and seven cities in the region of Basse-Normandie (Caen, Hérouville-Saint-Clair, Cherbourg-Octeville, Flers, Alençon, Argentan...
