Groundwaters in vicinity of subway line A
Drábková, Jana ; Bruthans, Jiří (advisor) ; Kůrková, Iva (referee)
The main aim of bachelor's thesis was to process and assess data measured during groundwater monitoring in the surroundings of construction sites of the new subway line A (21/04/2010 - 31/08/2011). The data from 17 monitored objects (subhorizontal mine galeries, springs and hydrogeological wells), which, with few exceptions, drain mainly Cenomanian aquifer (1 object in Orovician shales a 2 objects in Quaternary aquifer). For outflows from galeries and springs, statistics of the following parameters was calculated: discharge, pH, electric conductivity and water temperature. Discharge of all studied objects shows very low time variation. pH is neutral waters and overall, pH values show very low variability. Mean conductivity of studied objects suggests lower to moderate mineralization of waters. Groundwater temperature does not respond significantly to temperature changes at the surface. Marked temporary declines in water table leveal were probably caused by tunnel construction in proximity of the wells. Chemical analyses of groundwater from all 17 objects demonstrated that groundwater in the studied area belongs to the Ca-HCO3 type. Waters from different objects differ in increased concentrations of chlorides, nitrates or sulphates. Water is undersaturated in gypsum. Water is undersaturated in...

Modelling eye movements during Multiple Object Tracking
Děchtěrenko, Filip ; Lukavský, Jiří (advisor) ; Toth, Peter Gabriel (referee)
In everyday situations people have to track several objects at once (e.g. driving or collective sports). Multiple object tracking paradigm (MOT) plausibly simulate tracking several targets in laboratory conditions. When we track targets in tasks with many other objects in scene, it becomes difficult to discriminate objects in periphery (crowding). Although tracking could be done only using attention, it is interesting question how humans plan their eye movements during tracking. In our study, we conducted a MOT experiment in which we presented participants repeatedly several trials with varied number of distractors, we recorded eye movements and we measured consistency of eye movements using Normalized scanpath saliency (NSS) metric. We created several analytical strategies employing crowding avoidance and compared them with eye data. Beside analytical models, we trained neural networks to predict eye movements in MOT trial. The performance of the proposed models and neuron networks was evaluated in a new MOT experiment. The analytical models explained variability of eye movements well (results comparable to intraindividual noise in the data); predictions based on neural networks were less successful.

Jedličková, Tereza ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Ptáček, Pavel (referee)
Title: Transformation of second housing in the Hradec Králové and Pardubice outskirts Author: Bc.Tereza Jedličková Department: Department of social geography and regional development Supervisor: RNDr. Dana Fialová, Ph.D. Abstract: In the Czech Republic, second housing represents an important way of spending leisure time or holidays. Since the 1990s, there has been observed a significant change in the use of second homes, especially in cottage sites in city outskirts as a part of suburbanization development. The aim of this work is to evaluate the status of second housing and these changes by example of outskirts of two czech provintial cities - Hradec Králové and Pardubice, which has not yet been given sufficient attention in previous studies. This work complements extensive researches realized by the Department of social geography and regional development, which pays a long-term attention to this subject. In order to maintain compatibility with these researches, there is used similar methodology that consists of the questionnaire survey. Emphasis is given not only on specifics of sites in outskirts of these cities and their mutual comparison, but also on their development, which reflects the historic development of the czech settlement and those cities themselves. Keywords: second housing, transformation...

Voronoi diagramy koulí v E3
Maňák, Martin ; Zemek, Josef (referee) ; Kolingerová, Ivana (advisor)
Voronoi diagrams (VD) describe spatial relationships among a given set of input sites. The family of VD for a set of points is a well-explored domain and e ective algorithms for their construction exist. Although the family of VD for a set of spheres has been known for many years, properties of these diagrams and algorithms for their construction are a relatively new thing. Their importance grows with the development in the area of molecular biology. The goal of this work is to survey the theory behind VD of spheres, implement one of the existing algorithms for their construction as a library and use the library on a real data, such as proteins.

The crime of embezzlement under s. 248 of the Criminal Code
Slavíčková, Alžběta ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee) ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor)
Offense embezzlement under § 248 of the Criminal Code The aim of the thesis is to provide a detailed analyzing of crimes against property with a focus on embezzlement. It is aimed at understanding the differences between individual crimes against property by using professional literature and judicature and at taking away at least the basic uncertainties of application practice which consists often in not understanding of the facts of the case. It seemed appropriate to focus on the issue of financial lease or leasing in connection with the crimes against property because of the growing popularity of this topic. The thesis consists of introduction and four chapters. Each of the chapters deals with different aspects of embezzlement and its related issues. In my introduction, I outline the reason of my choice of this topic. The first chapter deals with a historical development of legislation and a general analysis of the current legislation. Chapter 2 is divided into four subchapters where the attention is paid to a detailed analysis of obligatory characters of the facts of embezzlement. The first subchapter describes the object of embezzlement. Second deals with objective site of this crime. It is divided into detailed description of individual elements which are: conduct, legal effect and causal...

Position of the state castle of Hluboká in tourism of the Czech Republic
Písařová, Markéta ; Netková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Raabová, Tereza (referee)
This Bachelor thesis characterizes the current situation of a large castle which is one of the most visited monuments in the Czech Republic on the example of the state castle of Hluboká. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the significance of tourism in the national economy, then it deals with general indicators of the Czech Republic and South Bohemian Region. Also the definition of cultural tourism and cultural tourist with its importance in the tourism in general is added to this part. The analysis is devided into several parts as well. At first it concerns an analysis from the historical point of view and there is a desciption of all the space on view. The next part closely deals with a marketing mix of the destination. The last part contains an analysis of the visitors during the past few years also in comparison to other competitors in the state. The information and data were collected from the web sites of the Czech Statistical Office, Czech National Bank, Regional Office of South Bohemian Region, Ministry of Culture and National Monumental Institute.

Discrete Surface Fairing
Matýsková, Martina ; Kostková, Jana (advisor) ; Suk, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis proposes a new method for fairing of surfaces, which are represented by a triangulated mesh. Motivation for our task is a 3D reconstruction, which results in a triangulated mesh. Such mesh is typically corrupted by noise (due to data and processing inaccuracy), which is required to be faired out. We solve the problem on a discrete surface, where two criteria for optimization are defined: surface curvature and non-uniformity. The curvature deals with surface smoothness, while the non-uniformity with surface regularity. The problem of fairing is solved by a discrete diffusion. Since our aim is to fair surfaces with boundaries, first we describe the fairing of curves, then fairing of closed urfaces, and finally fairing of surfaces with boundary (which is in fact a combination of the former ones). We have tested the algorithm's performance on synthetic as well as real data with good results. The experiments showed that our proposed algorithm is robust, stable and does not shrink an object, while its main surface characteristics are preserved.
