Artificial neural networks for learning robots
Sovka, Michal ; Jirků, Petr (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to understand, describe and explain the basic principles and elements used in learning robots with using artificial neural networks. Firstly, I focus on robots in general and their basic functional units. Then it is to introduce the theory of learning applied to real environments. Nervous system in this work becomes a central learning muse about theory with using artificial neural networks. It's very important in understanding of artificial neurons and artificial neural networks as a complex I consider the biological neuron and its synapses. That's why I take them very seriously. After introduction to artificial neural networks I attend to only the one of their group fully used in robotics. Finally, I demonstrate the function of Kohonen type of artificial neural network used in robotics and scilicet in the application developed in one of a foreign university workplace.I hope the benefits of my work is in a comprehensive text focused on the basic elements of robotics, as well as artificial neural networks and their neurobiological assumption. The work can then be used in studying for people interested in a broader approach to intelligent robotics.

4 Title: Multivariate GARCH Author: Mgr. Milan Mad'ar Department: Katedra pravděpodobnosti a matematické statistiky Abstract: This thesis will examine the regional and global linkages as evi- dence of integration of stock markets in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Prague and the U.S. Therefore we will utilize the multivariate GARCH approach that investigates the dynamics of volatility transmission of related foreign exchange rates. Also, we will define three basic model classes. For each of the model classes a theoret- ical review, basic properties and estimation procedure with proofs are provided. We illustrate each approach by applying the models to daily market data. The two main aims of the thesis are to discuss and report the existence of regional and global stock markets linkages and provide a comparison of such multivariate GARCH models on the data sample. The main contribution of the thesis is that it treats the data in the context of real development in financial markets and takes into account the real situation during and after the financial crisis of 2008. We find out that the estimated time-varying conditional correlations indicate limited integration among the markets, which implies that investors can benefit from the risk reduction by investing in the different stock markets, especially during the crisis....

Approach of entrepreneurs to delegate responsibilities as the necessary condition of the firms' growth
Říhová, Monika ; Lukeš, Martin (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
The master thesis deals with delegating of the work in small, rapidly growing companies. The main objective is to determine what approaches entrepreneurs apply to delegate in the growth phase of the company. The theoretical part describes the relevant theoretical concepts such as business growth, human resources in the company, analysis of entrepreneurs' work time and the work delegating. There are presented results of foreign research in this thesis that serves as the basis for my own investigation. In the methodical part the methods used and the research process are being specified together with the criteria for selecting the sample of respondents and subsequent data analysis procedure. The empirical part examines a sample of 12 entrepreneurs and presents the results of the investigation. The opinions of 97 subordinates of individual entrepreneurs are also included. Results of the research lead to the conclusion that entrepreneurs often do not use the potential of described managerial techniques, even if it would lead to the benefit of further development of the company.
