Study of combined climatic influences and hydrophobization effects on sandstone pinnacles from the Santa Barbara church in Kutná Hora
Drdácký, Miloš ; Lesák, Jaroslav ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Pospíšil, Stanislav ; Delpech, P.
The report summarizes results of the first part experiments in the Jules Verne climatic wind tunnel CSTB in Nantes. It presents diagrams of temperature and moisture changes measured on both the exterior surface and inside historic sandstone pinnacles from the church of Santa Barbara in Kutná Hora at different combinations of climatic loads with changing temperature, rain and wind velocity characteristics. Thermography has been applied for surface temperature measurements. During the tests the hydrophobization effect was studied, too.

Map Information System
Doležal, Zdeněk ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee) ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor)
This work describes design and implementation of a system for on-line displaying multileveled maps in the modern web browsers. The system supports operation with multilayer maps, smooth moving of the map with variable count of the map levels in different areas, searching for routes as well as points of interest and their showing in the map. It is supposed that there will be several client applications running on the system with their own user interfaces. These applications can modify the standard functions of the system which ensures their independency and scalability.

Isolation of DNA from probitic products using solid carriers
Bonczek, Ondřej ; Horák, Daniel (referee) ; Rittich, Bohuslav (advisor)
Microbial DNA was isolated from lysed cells of Lactobacillus genus in probiotic products. Reversible adsorption DNA on the surface of carboxyl coated nonporous poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-glycidyl methacrylate) (P(HEMA-co-GMA)) magnetic particles and silicagel coated manganase Perovskite nanoparticles. DNA was adsorbed on the surface of the particles in the presence of 16 % poly(ethylenglycol) (PEG 6000) and 2 M sodium chloride (NaCl) concentrations. The adsorbed DNA was released from particles by low ionic strength TE buffer (pH= 8.0). The quality of isolated DNA was checked by spectrofotometric measurement and PCR amplification. DNA samples isolated using magnetic particles and phenol extraction method (control method) were PCR-ready. The DNA isolated from lysed cells of probiotic products was quantificated in real-time qPCR.

Recognition of 3D objects with uniform surface reflectance
Žemlička, Jakub ; Svoboda, Tomáš (referee) ; Urban, Martin (advisor)
A new approach based on the edge examination has been developed for the detection of polygonal structures as an alternative to MSERs and Harris points. The recognition of objects with a uniform surface was the initial motivation. The detected polygonal structures can be used as supplementary features for the nonuniform object recognition as well. Finally, the method has been tested on the real application of the viewpoint invariant car license plate detection. The main contribution of our approach is the ability to detect polygons regardless to their size, number of vertices and orientation. The polynomial time complexity for low polygon degrees allows our method the real-time performance. Moreover, the searching algorithm can be modified to find more types of polygons at a time very easily.

Adults with Specific Learning Disabilities and/or AD(H)D - coping with the handicap
Pospíšilová, Zuzana ; Břečková Chalupová, Eva (referee) ; Kucharská, Anna (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on adults with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D, namely on their coping strategies in adulthood. The thesis is traditionally divided into theoretical and empirical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part explains basic terminology linked with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D, their symptoms, and emotional and social aspects of the deficit in the early age. The next chapter concentrates on adults with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D, especially a negative impact of their difficulties which make work achievements complicated. The final chapter of the theoretical part describes typical emotional reactions which adults with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D suffer from. The aim of the practical part is to describe the process of coping with the handicap of specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D. The research uses a qualitative methodology. It first states problems at work and in the course of university study which are connected with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D. Further the attention is paid to negative emotions which adults with specific learning disabilities and/or AD(H)D face in everyday life. A crucial part of the research involves a description of coping strategies of the interviewed adults. A next...

Possible way to prepare nanoparticles from aerosols released at plasma deposition
Brožek, Vlastimil ; Mastný, L. ; Moravec, Pavel ; Ždímal, Vladimír
During plasma deposition of powdered metals or inorganic compounds using WSP® generator, they interact with the plasma having temperature between 25000 and 30000 K. As a result, they melt, evaporate, thermally decompose, get ionized and/or react chemically both with plasma-forming medium and with the surrounding atmosphere or carrier gas. An experimental apparatus was constructed enabling us to capture aerosol particles emitted from the surface of the free flying particles (FFP) heated in a stream of plasma. In this work we studied content, composition and size distribution of nanosized particles of Ag and oxides of Al, Ti, Cr and W, released during plasma deposition process. These particles were analyzed by dynamic light scattering - photon correlation spectroscopy using instrument MALVERN, and with aerosol spectrometers SMPS 3936 and APS 3321.Concentration of aerosols containing nanoparticles of silver or metal oxides with diameters below 100 nm was found to be in the range 85 to

The Land Register
Polanská, Jana ; Žákovská, Karolina (referee) ; Drobník, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of the study is to give a summarizing law view on the theme of the Real Estate Register as an information system about lands, chosen realties and about chosen flats and non residential spaces. The study is composed of seven chapters, each of them discusses different aspects of cadastral administration. Chapter One illustrates historical background of real property registration in area of the Czech republic since their beginnings to the present days. The chapter is subdivided into parts, in which there are mentioned the main breaking moments of cadastral development and extension of its importance. Chapter Two provides introduction to the present state of real property registration, defines basic terminology, purposes of the registration, its contents and concludes with a survey of kind of real properties which are registered. Chapter Three provides an overview of eight important principals of the Real Estate Register administration, organisation of administration in this area and proceedings. Each part of this chapter is concerned with one of the principle. Chapter Four concentrates on state administrative bodies of the Real Estate Register, especially the position of each office in the hierarchy and its competence. Chapter Five is subdivided into two parts. The first part describes...

Accreditation of Colleges and Universities as a prerequisite of quality and successfulness
Stejkoza, Josef ; Lipka, David (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
In the thesis, the main focus is concentrated on the regulation of tertiary education sector by means of the accreditation. According to The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), there are chosen the countries with the highest representation of universities in Top20-Top500. Especially in the point of view of their regulation, the systems of tertiary education of those countries are analyzed and divided into two groups: (1) In the first group, there are systems running liberally (or on more liberal base); and (2) In the second one, there are the systems considered as behaving more regulative to tertiary sector. The comparison of those two groups is trying to answer the question if the regulation might be the reason of successfulness or unsuccessfulness of the given group. In comparison of world's best practice, special attention is dedicated to the Czech Accreditation Committee and accreditation process transparency in the Czech Republic. Due to the lucidity, there is to found the illustration of the systems according to each analyzed country at the end of the thesis.

Alternatives to unconditional term of imprisonment
Kárová, Alexandra ; Jelínek, Jiří (referee) ; Vanduchová, Marie (advisor)
The name of my thesis is Alternatives of unconditional sentence of imprisonment. For this is a very wide topic, I concentrated on community service sentence, monetary fines, activity prohibition punishment and conditional postponement of the performance of a sentence of imprisonment. Further, I dealt with some new sentences of home confinement and ban on activities such as attending sport, social or cultural events, as well as diversion from standard criminal proceeding. The thesis is divided into ten chapters, some of which are divided into subchapters for better lucidity. First chapter concerns with a present situation in prison service in the Czech Republic as well as in the world. The sentence of imprisonment has besides undeniable positive also some negative sites, which can be minimized by various alternatives of this sentence. Hereafter I already deal with individual punishments. The most extensive chapter discusses community service sentence, which is a second most frequently imposed alternative punishment. Substantive law and procedural law presumptions of its imposition are analyzed, as well as postponement, suspense and refraining from this punishment and its regulation in a new Criminal Code. The third and fourth chapters discus monetary fine punishment and activity prohibition punishment. These...

Preprocessing of retinal images
Dostál, Vladimír ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with the principle of capturing images of the retina of fundus camera, their features and then preprocessing. The aim of preprocessing is the correction of nonillumination in images of the retina. The model of non-illumination is obtained by using parametric surfaces. Coons surface was selected from a set of surfaces based on the knowledge of retinal images. This has been approximated by a non-uniform illumination. Then the thesis concentrates on describing the methods involving shading corrections. Compensation of non-uniform illumination is based on the use of parametric surface and selected methods for shading correction. The methods presented in the last chapter were tested on simulated and real data. The results were evaluated subjectively.
