The influence of intravenously administeres lactoferrin in early phase of coronnary thrombosis - histopathological analysis
Škrle, Jan ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor) ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (referee)
Lactoferin (La) is an 80-kDa iron-binding glykoprotein. It shares a high degree of homology at amino acid sequence level and also the three dimensional conformation level with transferin. Afinity of Lf to iron is about 260times higher than that of transferin. Lf is present physiologically in exocrine secretions, eg.: tears, saliva, milk, sinovial fluid, seminal fluid and in the secondary granules of neutophils. The precise function of Lf in organism is considered to be very complex and is still a hot subject of scientific disputation. Lf was documented to act as antimicrobial, antiinflamatory and antitumoral agent. These effects are probably based on its iron chelating properties. Similarly La inhibits hydroxyl radical formation via Fenton reaction due to chelation of free iron. The catecholamine model of myocardial injury, represented by administration of synthetic catecholamine isoprenaline (ISO), posseses many pathophysiological similarities with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The only possibility for myocardial tissue recovery in AMI represents the reperfusion of ischaemic myocardium. But this process is associated with tissue derangement due to burst of hydroxyl radical catalyzed by free iron (Fenton reaction). Therefore La has been proposed to have potentially positive effects in a catecholamine...

Palaeoecology, sedimetology and biostratigraphy of the Chýnice limestone at Čeřinka near Bubovice
Ferrová, Lenka ; Frýda, Jiří (advisor) ; Budil, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis presented deals with paleoecological, biostratigraphical and sedimentological research in the most important locality of the Chýnice Limestone - Čeřinka near Bubovice village. The research was carried out during the years 2006-2010. Multidisciplinary approach has been applied during the fieldwork as well as in the subsequent laboratory research. Such an approach brought a lot of valuable knowledge. The contact between the Zlíchov and Chýnice Limestone has been described and characterized for the first time within this thesis in this locality using sedimentological, biostratigrafphical and geochemical data. Among others, microfacies analysis has been carried out and the sedimentary succession the of Chýnice Limestone has been described and sedimentary environment has been interpreted. During my research I was able to gather the largest collection of fossils with the exact stratigraphic position, which was ever collected within the Chýnice Limestone (2500 pcs). Fifty new taxa in total have been recorded from the Čeřinka locality during my research, representing almost 80% increase of taxa known from this classic locality. Numerical analysis of the fauna diversity development of the Chýnice Limestone revealed an increase of the total diversity in time and in the same time decrease of...

Culture and Interpreting. Cultural factors in interpreting into the mother tongue
Jevsejeva, Taťjana ; Burianová, Světlana (referee) ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor)
In this paper we study the impact of culture on interpreting and the methods of translation of specifi.c culture-bound terms. Interpreting is intercultural communication and the role of the culture in relation to the interpreter is crucial. In the theoretical part we describe the phenomenon of culture, the link between culture and language and the cultural competence factor of the interpreter. Culture-bound terms, the so-called "realia", are a specifi.c manifestation of cultural differences in the languages. In this paper we are proposing a classifi.cation of this type of vocabulary and methods of its translation. In the empirical part we study and analyze those methods. The aim of this thesis was to confi.rm or to disconfi.rm our hypothesis that professional interpreters will have better results than students of interpreting and that in the group of professional interpreters those who translate culture-bound terms from the historical period nearest to their generation will have better results. The hypothesis was partly confi.rmed, although we came to the conclusion that the knowledge of culture-bound terms is too complex an isue to be measured according to a certain generation to which interpreters belong. There is no doubt, however, that cultural experience is very important in the process of interpreting.

Web services support in the .NET framework
Fischer, Roman ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Máša, Michal (referee)
The work targets the very important part of service oriented architecture -- web services. It is focused at one of its practical implementation, from the Microsoft Corporation, especially in the last two releases of .NET Framework. The main target of this work is comprehensive summary and demonstration of Microsoft web services development. The principles of web services and their base in the .NET Framework are described here. At the beginning of this work the web services are put into the scope of service oriented architecture and their main principles are described. Subsequently the .NET Framework is explained with its main principles and with the comparison to the JAVA technology. This part is finished with the explanation of classic ASMX web services. The main part of this work focuses at detailed description of the theoretical and practical aspects of web services in the Windows Communication Foundation and the Windows Workflow Foundation context. Even the development of Windows Forms application is not left out, because they also have done a large progress and they are often consumers of web services. The options of securing web services in the .NET Framework are shown both theoretically and practically including authentication and authorization. The methods of transactional behavior are shown too. The work also focuses at the orchestration of web services including the explanation of workflows with the deployment example. At the end of the work there is revealed how to guarantee interoperability with other technologies, how to manage web services and how to ensure their versioning.

Krejčíková, Jana ; Munková, Gabriela (advisor) ; Tabery, Paulína (referee)
The diploma thesis, named "Domestic violence against children, focusing on the analysis of the system of care for vulnerable children" identifies different types and forms of violence against children, their implications and consequences. The work is focused on child abuse and neglect syndrom and children who witness domestic violence between partners or parents. The work is focused on concepts such as the endangered child, the best interest of the child and last but not least, the rights of children, which are an important concept for the whole issue. In the first part of the analysis describes the complex system that takes care of the Czech Republic for children at risk. This section discussed the possibility of loss of family background, such as prevention and rehabilitation of their families. Following the analysis of the Czech system of care for vulnerable children, describes the inevitable transformation of the system, which would it be to streamline and focus primarily on the best interest of the child. The focus of the next part is players who are involved in child protection, such as doctors, social workers and non-profit organizations. Actors are divided into two groups in the works. The first group consists of players who come into contact with children at risk as a first (doctor, police, etc.)....

Derivative Pricing Using Monte Carlo Simulations
Burešová, Jana ; Witzany, Jiří (advisor) ; Málek, Jiří (referee)
Pricing of more complex derivatives is very often based on Monte Carlo simulations. Estimates given by these simulations are derived from thousands of scenarions for the underlying asset price developement. These estimates can be more precise in case of higher number of scenarions or in case of modifications of a simulation mentioned in this master thesis. First part of the thesis includes theoretic description of variance reduction techniques, second part consists of implementation of all techniques in pricing a barrier option and of their comparison. We conclude the thesis by two statements. The former one says that usage of each technique is subject to simulation specifics, the latter one recommends to use MC simulations even in the case a closed-form formula was derived.
