The Influence of Temperature to Change Operational Parameters and Lifetime of Powerful LEDs
Zeman, Milan ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is the introduction of changes in operating parameters and lifetime period of LED module. The theoretical part is dedicated to a principle of light, the development and use of LED. The main emphasis is placed on PN junction degradation due to temperature and lifetime period of the LED module. The practical part of this thesis contains measuring of LED diode Cree XLamp XR-E in the course of temperature from 0°C to 90°C in the current range of 0-300% of nominal value. Efficiency of LED operation is highly dependent on PN junction temperature. When powering the LED to approximately 65% of the rated power, the conversion of electric energy to light is the most efficient. It depends on junction temperature because increasing temperature decreases efficiency. A very important factor when designing the lighting system is cooling which helps to dissipate heat from the chip.

It was created out of necessity to "prove" the antiquity of Japan and her ruler when compared to Chinese culture. In the course of time the story became a powerful political myth used to consolidate the nation in the time of cultural and power encounter with Western countries aťter the Meiji Revolution and mainly as a means of explanation and justification for the expansionary policy set...

Study of emergency medical service preparedness for large number of injuries and casualties - bus accident
PRUDEL, Ondřej
This diploma thesis deals with problematic of emergency medical service preparedness in the Czech Republic, in the place of disaster and during this situation especially in bus accident with large number of injuries and casualties. Bus accident can create high risk of forming mass disaster due to many people transported in small area with low safety components. High risk of many injuries and casualties with chaotic first call make hard decision to activate plans to solve this situation for emergency services. Theoretical part of diploma thesis maps transformation of Czech paramedic system organization from districts to regions and new legislations for emergency medical service that solve preparedness, organization and duties during large incidents. Due to this new legislations were formed offices for emergency preparedness which ensure this preparedness. Practical part of diploma thesis is analysis of Czech paramedic preparedness that solve bus accidents as disaster. For this analysis were used data from regional emergency medical service headquarters (EMS HQ) - bus accident reports, drills for staff and special material equipments. But only 3 EMS HQ provided acceptable data and 1 EMS HQ partly acceptable data. Aim of this study is assessment in preparedness change for disaster during examined time (2000 - 2011) and comparison of real event to training drills. This part of thesis is supplied by statistic data (transformed into graphs) of bus accidents with injuries and casualties from department of Transportation Police of the Czech republic and Fire Rescue Service Directorate. Whole practical part is made by analysis of primary (documents, EMS HQ personal visits) and secondary information (information servers, journals). Within this analysis was made evaluation of Czech emergency medical preparedness for bus accidents with large number of injuries and casualties. This analysis shows that in area of the Czech Republic is missing central directorate for Czech paramedic system. Which is shown in varying material, drill and whole preparedness for disaster situation. This problem is also made by new legislation that were not here before (law for emergency medical system and law notices). High variation of equipments and procedures in solving disasters can cause difficulties during accident intervention on the borders of paramedic regions. For comparison to other countries preparedness is in this thesis mentioned Poland - special training course for specialist in disaster management, USA - Medical Alert Center (MAC) and Israel - control system for disaster drills.

The needs of family in care of the old patients with oncologic diseases
PANGLOVÁ, Tereza
Abstract Cancer diseases are one of the most frequent causes of death. Their occurrence increases with age and depends on many internal and external factors. Cancer is much feared diagnosis among people especially due to high mortality and pain. Such diagnosis causes high psychic stress on a patient and their family. The time period of medication and convalescence is stressing for a patient and entails number of complications. The course of the disease and therapy is also influenced by age of a patient. In case of seniors, anatomic and physiologic changes that can influence the result of medication must be considered. Family can be a great support for a patient. Some families care for their diseased family member at home. However, this is an uneasy task. Sometimes it can lead to exhaustion of a tender; nevertheless, stay in home environment has a positive effect on a patient. Findings about population{\crq}s ageing, old-age and physiologic changes caused in human body due to ageing, are included in the introductory theoretical part of the Bachelor{\crq}s Thesis. The following chapters devote of occurrence of cancer diseases, their prevention, characteristic symptoms and complex medication. An essential chapter is characteristics of an onco-geriatric nurse. Family function and complex insight on a family tender is described in the second concurring part of the Thesis followed by characteristics of separate biological-mental-social needs of a patient and their family. The Thesis is elaborated by use of a qualitative approach. Semi-standardized interview was used for data collection, the group of informants was structurally chosen. I have elaborated 12 detailed case reports according to the informants{\crq} responses. The interviews were held in home environment of the informants. The objective of the Thesis was to examine needs of families with regard to care for a client above 60 years of age with cancer disease. The second objective was to examine conditions enabling care for a client with cancer disease above 60 years of age to a family in home environment. The results revealed that the home tenders mostly miss offer of psychological care and sufficiency of information from specialists, in particular information from the field of finance. The most frequently mentioned condition enabling care for a senior with cancer disease to a family is free time. The free time of the main tender was enabled due to their retirement age or leaving their employment. Another condition is support of a family and other people.

Rathouská, Jana ; Vejsová, Marcela (referee) ; Hronek, Miloslav (advisor)
The assessment of dietary supplements income during pregnancy Nutritional needs are increased during pregnancy. Changes of hormonal levels induce alterations of physical and psychical status. Blood volume is increased and maternal metabolism is adjusted to ensure nutrition necessary for the right development of fetus. Requirements for energy, vitamins and minerals intake are increased. Requirements for micronutrients are rather specific, often the intake from food is not sufficient and supply by means of dietary supplements is necessary. Convenient structure of nutrition promotes physiological growth and development of fetus, reduces the risk of congenital malformations, prematurity labour, low birth weight and also protects mother's health. Objectives: To determine the intake of vitamin-mineral supplements by pregnant women, type of supplement (single-micronutrient or multivitamin-mineral supplementation), micronutrients most ingested, intake of supplements before- and during pregnancy and mother's supplementation in relation to the newborn anthropometrics measurements. Methods: Mothers completed a particular questionnaire about their supplementation. To record the whole course of pregnancy, the questionnaire was given to mothers every visit of prenatal care clinic, thus gestational ages < 20, 21-29, 30-36...

Deliberate self-harm in adolescence within the context of family system
Řehulová, Alena ; Morávková Krejčová, Lenka (referee) ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor)
Main aim of this diploma thesis is to summarize mostly foreign findings concerning deliberate self-harm in adolescence with emphasis on family context. Theoretical part deals with definition, prevalence, functions, course, risk factors and possibilities of prevention and therapy of self-harm. There are also mentioned findings about family system and its possible influence on personality. The research question of empirical part is interested in traits of those families, where adolescent self-harm. Family context is shown both on case studies and on summary based on families of 20 adolescents. These results are in accordance with previous research and also suggest some new characteristics for next verification. Characteristics concerning discordant family relationships (both between parents and between one parent and adolescent) seem to be most important. Majority of respondents feel like their parents are not interested in them at all and are too critical. Almost half of them said that they tried to draw their attention by engaging in risk behavior (including self-harm). There was also high incidence of self-destructive behavior in parents of these adolescents.

The examples of Asian paints can be found in many European museums and galleries than one in a castle or chateau art collection. Find a job here in China, Korea, Japan, but also Thailand, Cambodia, Laos or Burma or even their European imitations. Although over the centuries, originated many variety of local skills in various areas of Asia, the oldest documented lacquer work is likely to come from the Číny.1 Lak there was known in the Neolithic period, and therefore its processing technology is one of the oldest crafts an adopted the Far East. Already this year, people knew the basic benefits - protection against premature destruction of course due to weather conditions and the antiseptic abilities. Another important positive aspect is its adhesive coating capability, which benefited from the repair of damaged items. Later it was discovered another unique advantage of this technique, which consisted of an enormous amount of technological variations, which have predominated in the decoration of the medium.

Title Biomechanics of whiplash injury and its influence on cervical spine structures Objectives: Objective of the work is charting of studies examining mechanism and course whiplash event, its influence on osseous and arthral textures, intervertebral discus, ligaments, neural textures, cerebro-spinal fluid and vertebral artery. In summary form mention possibilities of prevention in terms ofconstruction car. Method: Diploma work is processed in the form of commented literary background research. Results: Confrontation of individua! works brought definite results, respecting kinematics cervical spine at rear impact. Most ofin vivo and in vitro studies confirmed clear two-phase answer. Immediately after stroke (50 - 110 msec) cervical spine is forming S-form deformation with flection UCS and extension LCS, whereas it is extension with abnormal JAR. Whole spine is loaded by compression at this time. The second period is C-form deformation with extension whole cervical spine. Risk of structures injury is the highest in S- stage. The most often it is localized in LCS, and it is in intervertebral joints including capsular ligaments, intervertebral discus and anterior longitudinale ligament. There are threatened also neural textures, both influence oftension force applied to UCS, and pressurized gradient...
