Kindlová, Alena ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Thesis title: An effect of the epicondilar brace and tape on hand clutch power which is measured by a manual dynamometer Name: Alena Kindlová The aim of the thesis: The goal of my thesis is to find out the effect of the epicondilar brace and tape which these two have on maximal muscular power of a dominant upper limb while clutching the hand. This is measured by a manual dynamometer. Their effect hasn't been clarified yet. The epicondilar brace and taping are used as a part of a conservative therapy in epikondylitis lateralis. Methods: In my thesis I have observed maximal muscular power while clutching a hand on a dominant upper limb. Ten probands (women) have taken part in my experiment, their age span was 24 - 29 years. For measuring of muscular power a manual dynamometer Grip D T.K.K.5401 has been used. The muscular power has been measured under three conditions - without an aid and with an aid - with the epicondilar brace (Snížek Ortoprotetika) and with a stable tape (Strappal). Under these conditions there are also changes of a wrist position- there is a central position, palmar position and dorsal flexis, this one in a central position of a wrist. There is a statistical result of measurements. Results: The results of my thesis show an important effect of a position of a wrist on maximal hand...

Slawiková, Eliška ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Dudová, Agnieszka (referee)
The name of the work: Shape changes in the axial system during respiration Goal of the work: the main objective is to perform a case study of brass parameters and changes the shape of the trunk during the ventilation maneuver, prepare the correct methodology of research and to conduct separate measurements. The thesis will be divided into two parts, the first will contain the theoretical background to the subject, in the second part will then be described by the research, where I measured the change in the volume of the lungs in relation to time, assess the impact of implemented ventilation maneuver on the individual probands and examine the respiratory dynamics in selected ventilation maneuver. Methods: in the framework of the fulfilment of the tasks of this work have been carried out experiments with the use of 3D kinematic record with Qualisys and spirometric measurement. The experiment involved three probands aged 20 to 40 specific common features. Each of the proband performed during the measurement of quiet breathing, maximum inhalation and exhalation and ventilation maneuver. Measurements were carried out in one day under standard conditions, measurements made on the day of probands quiet breathing, maximum inhalation and exhalation and ventilation maneuver (5 min total). Data records were...

i Abstract Case study of total hip replacement Připadová studie totální endoprotézy kyčelního kloubu This case study of total hip replacement consists of a general part that initially explores patient diagnosis and then a case study that investigates the rehabilitation approaches treatment after non-cemented total hip replacement surgery from a physiotherapist's point of view. My case study shows the great impact of the initial physiotherapy sessions and the progress made with just a few physiotherapy sessions after total hip replacement surgery. Furthermore, my case study evaluates the importance of physical therapy in achieving the short term goals set in the rehabilitation protocol after total hip replacement surgery. Keywords: Total hip replacement, rehabilitation protocol, physiotherapy, physical- therapy, non-cemented, cemented, osteoarthritis, hip joint.
Investigation of Insufficient Lumbopelvic Stability in Low Back Pain
Elrakayek, Abdulhamid Ibrahim ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
CHARLES UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY An Investigation of Insufficient Lumbopelvic-Hip Stability Approach to Low Back Pain Project for diploma thesis Supervisors: Author: For Proposal: Prof. RNDr. Jan Hendl, CSc. Bc. Abdulhamid Elrakayek For Thesis: Mgr. Agnieszka Kaczmarska, Ph.D. Prague, 2012 Abstract Introduction: Impairment of lumbopelvic-hip stability, in particular of lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint, abdominal muscles, back muscles, diapharagm and ligamentous weakness may result in deficient load transfer through this region and lead low back pain. Clinicians assessing and treating patients with LBP due to impairment of lumbopelvic- hip stability insight into the possible stabilizing role of lumbopelvic-hip structures is important. After several of researches, most experts agree that the impairment of lumbopelvic-hip stability cause of LBP. The theories included in this thesis proposal already have research background, both practically and theoretically by several authors. Despite many distinct theories, there are currently several accurate methods to the management and prevent progression of LBP due to lumbopelvic-hip insufficient stability. Aim: The aim is to present a group of concepts considering the stabilization system of the spine including the...

Krokou, Anastasia ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with diagnosis of disc herniation and spondylolisthesis of L5-S1. Nazev: Fyzioterapie léčba pacienta s diagnózou herniace disku a spondylolistéza z L5-S1. Author: Anastasia Krokou Summary In this case study I negotiate the topic mentioned above and I quote the two main approaches. The theoretical approach with a close aspection to the functional and structural mechanism of the spinal column, combined to the biomechanical and kinesiological approach, focused more on lumbar spine, and the pathological disturbances that may arise in this region, in this case it will be about disc herniation. The other approach that completes my study work is the practical one and it concerns the application of rehabilitation and physiotherapy principles in order to treat the post-operative sequences that follow and how the treatment plan of short and long term of rehabilitation will look like. My bachelor's thesis practice took place in Ustředni Vojenská Nemocnice Praha during the period of 16.1-27.1 at the department of neurosurgery and also at the department of out coming patients. I used my knowledge that I gained these years while studying at Charles University at the department of Physiotherapy and applied for the best results according to the patients' situation....
Physiotherapy after osteosynthesis of the trimalleolar fracture
Medal, Jakub ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Hankovcová, Eva (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Physiotherapy after osteosynthesis of the trimalleolar fracture. Aims: Concept, execution and evaluation of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient affected by trimalleolar fracture of the ankle joint. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and special. Theoretical part deals with basic principles of functional anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and traumatology of the ankle joint. It also includes information about possibilities of treatment - orthopedical (traumatological) and physiotherapeutic. Special part is focused on a case study of a patient with trimalleolar fracture. Results: Clinical state of the patient after execution of the therapy has improved. The range of movement in disabled ankle joint as well as muscle power of both legs have been increased. Swelling and nociception of the left ankle joint have been reduced. Key words: physiotherapy, traumatology, case study, ankle joint, trimalleolar fracture, osteosynthesis
Problems of the functional flatfoot
Michalec, Radim ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: Problems of the functional flatfoot Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is problems of the functional flatfoot. Main goal is to describe relation between change of structure, disorder of foot function and development of flatfoot. The thesis tries to describe the behavior of foot and arch in standing and walking. Another goal is to summarize the diagnostic possibilities of flatfoot. Methods: The diploma thesis has descriptive-analytical character. It's written in form of literature review. Results: This thesis demonstrates the problem of disunity nomenclature concerning the problem of flatfoot. Specifically, it concerns the interpretation of the words of functional flatfoot, movement components in foot and laboratory diagnostic methods. There is offered an explanation of the concept of functional flatfoot. Further work indicated that the acquired flatfoot is a question of a functional disorder that may progress to structural changes. The static and dynamic loadings were confirmed by the role of small muscles of the foot in the role of dynamic stabilization and influence of femoral rotation on the foot arch. There were summarized methods used for the diagnosis of flatfoot including dynamic plantography. Keywords: flat foot, foot arch, kinesiology, diagnostics
