Weak Church? One Attempt of Reneval of the Catholic Parishes in Bohemia

The thesis deals with the process in Roman Catholic dioceses in the Czech Republic, which in the first decade of the new century tried to reform the structure of the parishes and renew their religious life. The data gathered during several years of the field research mainly in the Archdiocese of Prague are interpreted using the sociology of space and sociology of organizational change. The successful reform of the structure of parishes and unsuccessful reform of religious life, intended as a goal of the whole process, is explained as caused by so called operational exhaustion of the Church actors, actual isolation of single hierarchical layers and practical unenforceability of the pastoral decisions. The thesis includes also the discussion about the organizational character of the Catholic Church, about the possibilities of comparison of the Czech and French experience, and about the external and internal secularisation of the Czech catholicism.

The benefit of professor N.P. Kondakov in the field of iconic research

Diplomová práce je věnována působení významného byzantologa, kunsthistorika a archeologa Nikodima Pavloviče Kondakova (1844-1925). V předkládané práci jsme si kladli za cíl konkretizovat přínos N. P. Kondakova k výzkumu ikon, a to na základě rozboru jeho činnosti pedagogické, publikační, organizační a zároveň také popisu činnosti badatelské, a prokázat jeho vliv na další generace ruských i českých badatelů i na kulturní veřejnost v Rusku a Československu. Přínos v oblasti uměnovědné teorie a metodologie byl rozebrán především na základě jeho publikační a pedagogické činnosti, praktický zohlednil působení N. P. Kondakova v kulturních institucích obou zemí. Diplomová práce byla rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je věnována působení N. P. Kondakova v Rusku a je rozdělena na jeho pedagogické působení na ruských univerzitách, vědecké expedice a kulturně-organizační činnost. Druhá část se věnuje jeho působení a odkazu v Československu, a to zejména jeho přednáškové činnosti a vzniku Seminaria Kondakoviana. Svou pedagogickou činností navazoval N. P. Kondakov na svého učitele F. I. Buslajeva, jehož znalosti i odborné postupy dále rozpracovával a zdokonaloval spolu se svými žáky, kterým touto cestou předával výsledky svého bádání. The psalter of Wenceslas IV. Connections of previous studies and an interpretation of its emblems

Resume V první cásti diplomové práce (II. kapitola) jsem se pokusila strucne uvést ctenáre do tématiky rukopisu Václava IV. Ža1tár Václava IV. tvorí soucást dochované sbírky osmi rukopisu Václava IV., které predstavuje jeden z duležitých prvku v dejinách ceských iluminovaných rukopisu. Tato skupina svými iluminacemi navazuje na umení Mistra Liber Viaticus v rukopisech, které patrily Janu ze Stredy. V této cásti textu je popsán obsah sbírky, koreny této skupiny v ceské knižní malbe a historie knihovny. Poznatky k této kapitole jsem cerpala z velké cásti z publikace Josefa Krásy. Po 'této kapitole (III. kapitola) uvádím ikono grafický popis emblému: lazebnice, muže v kláde, tocenice, lednácka, divého muže, monogramu a devíz, heraldických a dalších postav. Ty tvorí podstatnou soucást výzdoby všech rukopisu Václava IV. a jsou jejich spojujícím clánkem. Ctvrtá kapitola mé práce je predstavením základních i dílcích studií venujících se problematice emblému v rukopisech Václava IV. Vytkla jsem si za cíl predstavit jejich bohatou názorovou pluralitu a vzájemnou provázanost. Educational Contribution of The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Svatý Jan pod Skalou

The thesis entitled "Educational Contribution of The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Svatý Jan pod Skalou (Saint John under the Cliff)" addresses the issues of the institute's history, arrival of the brothers, their activities and their specific contribution in the field of education both in Bohemia and Moravia. The thesis captures the history of the former Benedictine monastery edifice, emergence of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, life of Saint John Baptist de la Salle, didactic principles of the Brothers' ways of teaching and life of student teachers in the Teachers Institute in Svatý Jan pod Skalou. The thesis contains a large appendix with information on the running of the school and some teaching methods actively used in practice. The thesis draws - apart from other resources - upon the Saint John's College archive, Saint John's Journal and upon a unique testimony of the Institute's living graduate Jan Mazanec. This work examines hyper-local media in relation to global economic recession and new media phenomenon. The definition of hyper-local media is suggested in the geographical and communities context. Practical part of the study describes Naše adresa project, whose aim is to fulfill the principles of hyper-local news in the Czech Republic. There is also a proposal of community integration of Naše adresa project web part with the existing social networks like Facebook.

Proposal for a well-use graphical user interface, data-based transactional applications

This thesis aims describe principles that are essential for creating data-based transaction applications. At the same time it should serve as a methodological description of the development of a particular type of applications as well as presenting the correct solution and common mistakes. The first chapters focus on explaining the concept of a graphical user interface from its inception to the present. Describes the current possibilities of the application development and explains why today is put so much emphasis on the GUI. Another part is devoted to clarify the differences in transaction data-oriented applications from other application software. It explains the basic principles of operation and points out the wrong solutions, which are in turn supplemented with correct ones. At the end of the thesis there is mentioned, from the author point of view, an ideal solution for designing application that eliminates all the shortcomings described in the previous chapters. The theoretical part is based on the available literature and author's own experience. The practical part is made up and based on author's own knowledge and skilled colleagues working in this field.

The influences of the Income Tax Act on Entrepreneurial subject's behaviour

The main goal of the Bachelor's thesis is to find the most suitable solutions for the tax liability optimalization of income taxpayers. The thesis deals mainly with the influences on subject's behaviour, which appear as the results of changing the Income Taxes Act. From this point of view, the thesis is focused on the reform of public finance, which mostly came into force on 1 January 2008. In the beginning of the thesis, there is described the law system of the Czech republic and defined Entrepreneurial subject. Next parts are focused on separate areas of tax liability optimalization, such as taxes depreciation, leasing and cash pooling. The last chaptor deals only with problems connected with self-employed persons.

The process of public tenders for the police

The aim of the thesis is evaluation of the public procurement issue in the Police of Czech Republic (Policie České republiky) namely from beginning of the public procurement until its realization. Aim of the thesis is evaluation of the process of public procurement in the Police of the Czech Republic from the theoretical point of view, thus description legislative environment and from practical activities involved subjects the point of view as well. Procedure itself of the public procurement is regulated by the generally regulated legislation, but regarding to the subject of the contract owner like Police of the Czech Republic, is this procedure determinate by the Ministry of the interior regulation. One of the basic presumptions for effective and economical spending of the public funds, not only in the police, but also in the whole public administration, are correct public procurement when buying services, supplies or building operations. In this thesis is described procedure in the realization of the public procurement from its planning until
contract concluding. In the thesis are also mentioned subject, which are involved in this process including their rights and responsibilities.

Modernization of compressor station

The thesis is concerned with multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives of modernization of compressor station for natural gas. This thesis is divided into practical part and theoretical part. The theoretical part will introduce historical development of the gas industry and the current state of the gas network in our country. The following describes a method for operating a compressor station, its technology units and existing operational processes. The theoretical part is a chapter that describes methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives and a way of specifying the methods suitable for constructing weights of the criteria. The fifth chapter contains an application example, the aim of which is to choose the suitable way of modernization of the compressor station that would meet the requirements of planned projects. Creating recommendations for the management of the company fulfilled the goal of this thesis.

Financial Market Guarantee System

This bachelor thesis follows up the Financial Market Guarantee System in Czech republic and aims to describe its establishment based on the regulation of the European Union, its competence and relevance in Czech republic. The Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part describes the development of the Deposit Insurance Fund, new legislation of the European Union and Czech law, which is based on European Union legislation. Practical part mostly examines newly established Resolution fund. On the sample of three different sized banks is shown the impact on the profit as a consequence of the contribution to the Resolution fund. The second part also focuses on ability of the system to help banks in financial problems, which was proven as very limited. Practical part in addition provides estimate of the annual contribution to the Resolution fund, which turned out to be quite accurate.
