Wandering trought Genius loci (Cultural landscape of Bohemia)
Dryjová, Eva ; Opletalová, Lenka (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis focuses on landscape in the context of culture, or "cultural landscape" from the perspective of genius loci - "spirit of a place" - which on one hand consists of unique subjective feelings, yet also transcends subjectivity. At one level the atmosphere of a place is created by nature. However, at another level the presence of the human element is indispensable - "dead men" determine the overall spirit of each location. The overall spirit is thus an expression how landscapes appropriate us. (From this perspective the spirit of the place is not just a fleeting and purely subjective impression, but an expression of the fact that, in a manner of speaking, we are appropriated by the land ourselves.) This thesis discusses in fact two different points of view: the anthropological perspective (the subject produces nature, nature produces the subject) and the perspective of the landscape itself (landscape has its own quality - from nature's own point of view the Baroque period is a meaningless term). In order to study genius loci it is necessary to find some tools to help us describe it within the context of human history and culture. One possibility is to start with a description of cultural landscape. The theoretical explanations in the chapter "The Historical Developement of Landscape as of a Natural...

The Czech Cultural Elites and Their Influence on a Political Decision-making Process
Gabriel, Ondřej ; Cabada, Ladislav (advisor) ; Mlejnek, Josef (referee)
"Czech Cultural Elites and their Influence on a Political Decision-making Process" is engaded in a traditionally close relation between Czech culture and politics. It is said that in Europe there si no other example of such a linked cultural-political complex. The one of the main reasons of this fact is a specific way of the Czech national revival. It began as a revival of a language and ever since a political importance of anything related to the language is something you have to notice while studying Czech history. The political relevance of writers differed continuously but 1 'art pour 1 'art was always minor. The closure between "the art and the life", the writers and the society, was felt as a politically important fact and as a guestion of a survival of Czechs as a political nation. According to Jan Neruda: when a political representation fails, it is up to writers to show politicians a way out of a crisis. In fact, he insists the one of the sources of the Czech political crisis in the 80s of 19th century is the politically active writers receded from their traditional role in a centre of a political decision making process. T.G. Masaryk and H.G. Schauer are the most important representatives of the realistic cultural political programme. It draws from the legacy of Palacky and Havlicek and one of its...

Determination of radiochemical purity and stability of new radiopharmaceuticals
Vorlová, Nikola ; Trejtnar, František (referee) ; Lázníček, Milan (advisor)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Nikola Vorlová Supervisor: Prof. PharmDr. Ing. Milan Lázniček, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: The determination of radiochemical purity and stability of newly developed radiopharmaceuticals. The theme of this thesis is determination of radiochemical purity and stability of newly developed radiopharmaceuticals from the group of receptor specific peptides and antibodies by using liquid chromatography - HPLC and thin layer chromatography ITLC -SG method. The antibody sample 177Lu-hR3-I has been studied in the theses( 177 Lu enters in to relation with modified antibody Nimotuzumab), which blocs EGF receptors and due to this fact the growth of tumor cells too. It has been detected, that it is necessary for reaching sufficient radiochemical purity to clean this radio-labeled antibody by the gel chromatography after labeling. Radio-chemical purity of this sample circulate from 99,46 % to 88,77 % during period of 6 days. Another samples have been studied, 111In-minigastrin - radioisotope 111 In linked up to three different minigastrins I, II, and III. Minigasrins are gastrin derivates , which have a very good absorptive capacity to receptors for cholecystokinin (CCK-B receptors) occurring in...

Astarto versus Atalanta. Heinrich Rademin, "Director Comicus" (1674-1731), within the context of the Italian-German theatre dramaturgy in the early 18th century
Bohadlová, Kateřina ; Pelán, Jiří (advisor) ; Scherl, Adolf (referee) ; Flemrová, Alice (referee)
The dissertation discusses the Venetian opera libretti, the German spoken court-theatre and the popular itinerant theatre in the early 18th century. It summarizes all known facts including the new discoveries in the field of the Venetian libretto-science, its influence on the opera and especially on the drama theatre in the Habsburg Monarchy. The example of two prestigious poets - Apostolo Zeno and Pietro Pariati - documents the birth of a professional librettist in the mature baroque era and his successful career at the Imperial court in Vienna. The libretto Astarto (1708) they wrote together represents the classical opera seria. While the opera experiences a boom in the aristocratic society in the German speaking countries with the centre in Vienna, the popular itinerant theatre is characterized by the German Hauptaktion, which is being transformed into the comic burlesque. The link between both theatre worlds was created by Heinrich Rademin (1674-1731), the versatile theatre personality. As a chief of the theatre group Hochdeutsche Komödianten he toured all over the Central Europe, founded the Theater am Kärntnertor in Vienna together with J. A. Stranitzky and became its member. He cooperated with another company head, A. J. Geißler, and received the exclusive license to perform in Prague and...

Kučírek, Luboš ; Štenglová, Ivanka (referee) ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor)
54 Resumé The topic of thesis is "Termination of participation in the partnership of a limited liability company." The reason why I chose this topic is my interest in the commercial companies especially limited liability company. A limited liability company is one of the newest forms of commercial companies. In spite of this fact is one of the most used companies, not only in the Czech Republic. A limited liability company ranks among the corporate enterprises, although includes personal elements. This theme is very closely linked with the practice of commercial companies. If there is participation in the partnership of a limited liability company, then there must be the basis of the termination of the participation in the relationship. The aim of the thesis is the particular termination of participation in the partnership of a limited liability company. It isn't limited to enumerate the various types of termination of participation in the partnership, but the interpretation is complemented by views of jurisprudence and legal theory. Particular reasons for termination of participation in the partnership are logically classified according to whether the disappearance of the participation of the partnership and company continues or occurs also in the winding up of companies. Chapter two focuses on the...

Jane Austen's, Pride and Prejudice. A Comparison of Czech Translations with Consideration of their Reception by Contemporary Readers
Pernicová, Zuzana ; Kupcová, Helena (advisor) ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee)
This thesis compares three translations of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice that are currently available to Czech readers. It builds on the fact that, in the Czech environment, most readers acquaint themselves with the works of foremost English writers exclusively through translations, and consequently, the ability of the translator to interpret the qualities of the original is crucial for the readers' perception of the work as well as the author. This is increasingly important with works, such as Pride and Prejudice, that come not only from a different cultural context but also from a relatively distant period of time, which makes the transfer of ideas and forms even more demanding. The first part of the thesis presents a brief introduction to the life and work of Jane Austen, her place in the history of English literature, and her ongoing popularity with readers worldwide. It then goes in more detail into the novel Pride and Prejudice, providing also a full list of Czech translations and editions. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
