Vztah Evropské unie a Mercosuru v globálním kontextu

The European Union entered into close contact with Mercosur shortly after Mercosur's founding in 1991. Since then, the two blocs have established economic and political relations and they are now on the path towards concluding a considerably ambitious Association agreement, the first one of its kind ever concluded by two groupings of integrated countries. However, the negotiation process has continued for the last decade without leading to any result. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the relation which the European Union currently has with Mercosur, examining whether its potential has been utilized sufficiently. Background framework is formed by the theory of (new) regionalism. Then, besides providing an insight into the various spheres of cooperation between the blocs, the thesis places the EU-Mercosur relation into a wider context of the global trade network and evaluates the effect brought by such interaction. Within the evaluation, the role of each of the two regional blocs is assessed and suggestions are made regarding the prospects of future EU-Mercosur cooperation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The influence of the different utilization of the landscape on the rainfall-flow process in the experimental drainage basins Zbytiny

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of the influence of vegetation and artificial flow-off on the hydrological conditions of a small-scale drainage basin. The thesis presents the results of the detailed monitoring of the rainfall-flow process, carried out in two drainage basins compared in the period between 2006 and 2008.The research location is situated in the area of the upper drainage basin of the Šumava river Blanice, one of the sources of the devastating flood of 2002. Despite a limited period of monitoring, significant differences were identified in the hydrological regimes of the two drainage basins. The main differences discovered are related to the period of the winter half-year and the period of low water. Effective corporate governance in times of economic uncertainty

As a result of the financial crisis are companies forced to face uncertainties which significantly affect corporate governance. Companies have many ways how to face this issue. This work is focused on the possibility of using modern system Corporate Performance Management. The first part describes the impact of financial crisis on the Czech economy, business environment and are being defined most characteristic uncertainties, businesses must address. In this section is also mentioned the historical development of information technology and management information systems, which are closely linked with the managerial decision-making and enterprise management. In next section of the work are mentioned reasons of emergence of Corporate Performance Management, being described the basic principles of continuity with Business Intelligence and are being defined methodologies, metrics, processes and technology. Based on the study of literature has been chosen model of strategic management principles the Balanced Scorecard within which have been defined the mission and vision of companies located in times of certainty and uncertainty. Also were established strategic objectives of both different situations whit which were applied of appropriate metrics. Another part is focused on process of business planning reflected again in different situations certainties and uncertainties. Being mentioned theoretical facts associated with the basic management disciplines and are created by different planning models. In conclusion it is mentioned the question of implementation, the mapping of the largest providers of modern solutions and are being set trends for future years.

Recruitment, selection and adaptation of employees (comparision of public and privat sector)

The aim of the dissertation is description and comparision of recruitment, selection and adaptation of employees. The theoretical part of the theses includes the perfect proceeding of the process. In the application part of the theses I describe the structure of organizations and the whole proces in the organizations. I discovered some deficiencies and I suggested the solution how to make the process better in both organizations.

Development of the economy of Czech republic during the transformation

In my work, I compare the development of the economy of the Czech republic during the transformation to the functioning of centrally planned economy. I tried to bring the two systems, evaluate their positive and negative sites, and reflect on whether the whole transformation process really necessary. Characteristics of both systems I have tried to bring to the development of basic macroeconomic indicators -- GDP, inflation and unemployment.

Comparison of performance of selected collective investment funds

The thesis is engaged in a very up-to-date subject in the field of a capital market. Concretely the thesis is concerned in a collective investment. After the introductory theoretical part and the description of legal regulations follows the fundamental part, which is the analyse of performance of selected collective investment funds during a period from the beginning of year 1999 till the end of year 2006. The aim of the work is to compare performance of a foreign and domestic funds, whereas this comparison proceeds between selected equity funds, bond funds and money market funds. The result of the analyse is very interesting. In the event of the equity funds performance of the foreign fund is distinctively higher than in the domestic fund. However in the event of the bond funds the czech fund became the winner of comparison. Performance of money market funds was approximately same but in the both cases lower than risk free interest rate used in the analyse.

The role of places of indeterminacy in the proces of reading the work of art

The work is focussing on two aesthetic theories, which primarily deal with the reception of literary work of art. Thesis discusses about the phenomenological aesthetics of Roman Ingarden and reception aesthetics of Wolfgang Iser. Research is conducted to clarify the notion of indeterminacy places in a literary text and its function in it. Both authors explain this concept by their own approach to the reception of literary work of art. The method of work is defined by the description of these two presented theories, and by the end of the thesis, both approaches are compared. The aim of the thesis is to characterize both theories and define the concept of indeterminacy places within them. The aim is also to describe the moments in which Wolfgang Iser theories are inspired by Roman Ingarden and also the place where their theories do not agree and Iser revises it.

Comparison of the tax burden of employees in the Czech Republic and in Belgium

The thesis analyzes and compares tax burden on employees in the Czech Republic and Belgium. The first part summarizes the tax systems of the two countries, and describes how to proceed in the calculation of their tax burden. The second part deals with the comparison of effective tax rates for different types of taxpayers. The third part discusses the tax progressivity in terms of local progressivity, which is measured by using provided intervals and determines for which income categories is the progressivity most important. Lorenz curve in the last part shows graphically global tax progressivity and redistribution of income in society. The Gini coefficient measures it. Final evaluation highlights the important ties between the two countries, compares with other countries of the European Union and its future development especially in the area of taxation of wages.
