Design and optimisation of log rounding process

The subject of my thesis is Design and optimisation of log rounding process. The aim of the work is to develop and explain the changes of the cutting tool parameters of a machine for logs rounding; experimental substantiation for the change of the cutter angle related to the axis of the workpiece. This paper deals with all kinds of wooden housing, from houses of solid wood to houses made of wood-based materials. The description of positive and negative characteristics of each type, including why a house made of logs is essentially different, its positive and negative sides. The paper examines all kinds of the logs rounding technology; the characteristics of their quality and energy consumption are presented. The experimental part of the work consists in the experiment planning and identifying of the factors that influence the rounding process. The way the cutter angle influences the surface roughness during the cylindering process was studied. The final stage of the work was to evaluate the results of the work, their relevance and the possibility to introduce the new equipment with the changed parameters of the cutting tool into production.

Online Marketing Communication

In the world of internet, there is increasingly growing importance of online marketing, which is necessary for the existence of the company, therefore the submitted work deals with on-line marketing communication for the e-shop with aim to increase the competitiveness of the selected e-shop on the market. The concept of the work is based on processing the theoretical part, where is explained the meaning of marketing promotion and marketing communication including used marketing tools. This is followed by a practical part, where the task is to analyze the current state of on-line marketing communication of Lilian.cz e-shop, which is engaged in internet sales of Czech caring cosmetics. For this purpose the marketing tools for on-line promotion are subjected to research, on the basis of this research are selected tools, in which the e-shop has weaknesses or which are not used yet, although it would increase its level of promotion on the internet. On the basis of this information is created a suggestion of on-line marketing communication, which would rectify identified shortcomings, expand portfolio of yet utilized online marketing tools and thus improve the position of the e-shop among others on the internet.

Some differences in the biology and behavior of the species eastern gorilla (Gorilla beringei) and western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla)

Genus Gorilla is divided into two species includes four subspecies and one subspecies unrecognized. Gorillas are the largest living apes and and eight million years ago, as a line, they separated themselves from family Hominidae. These populations are found in nine African countries and they are separated by forest Congo. Their most developer sense is vision. The body is adapted for knuckle-walking and their limbs are adapted to grip, with moveable arms and long arms. They have a mighty body with a robust skull and teeth with bumps for processing a hard food. Gorillas excel significant sexual dimorphism, which is characterized by variously sized body. Thanks reproduction arises extensive diversity within species in different strategies that help increase fitness. Dominant males mate with sexually mature females, while males with lower status mate with younger females because they are not fertile yet. Compared to that family groups have only one silverback male with which the female mate. There are substantial differences in eating habits between gorillas. Dietary differences between species and subspecies are caused mainly by food availability. Gorillas are considered for herbivorous and frugivorous animals. Gorilla groups are polygenic. With one dominant silverback male a few females and their descendants, they form a cohesive group. They create nest for sleeping every night which different in location and stage of construction. They communicate with each other through the auditory, visual and chemical signals. They use approximately 102 types of gestures and 17 types of audio signals to communicate. In wild gorillas using tools is scarce, therefore mainly used to get food from difficult sources most of its body. While gorillas in captivity use tools successfully. To protect against predators, the female consort with males who protect them.

E-learning as a tool of education and development of the Ministry of Interior emloyees

The diploma thesis deals with possibilities and usage of e-learning in the field of education of employees of Ministry of Interior through the Police schools. Its aim is to analyze e-learning training at the Police College and Secondary Police School of the Ministry of the Interior in Prague, to identify opportunities for improvement resulting from the practical experience with a chosen e-learning course, to create corrective improving measures and the verification in practice. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the explanation of the concept of e-learning, the historical development of this phenomenon, the familiarization with the forms and last but not least with its advantages and disadvantages. The practical part is mapping the level of e-learning and its forms at the Police College and Secondary Police School of the Ministry of Interior in Prague. It examines the impact of e-learning on increasing the qualifications of employees and their attitude towards this form of education. It also describes the practical experience with the chosen course, including the identification of opportunities for improvement, and their verification by the participants through a questionnaire survey. On the basis of this experience some measures were suggested and subsequently verified in practice.

Consultant in the implementation of Lean Management

The main aim of the thesis Consultant in the implementation of Lean management was the introduction of Lean principles and tools of management by an external consultant selected manufacturing company. Lean Management implementation process is often accompanied by a number of obstacles that can be avoided by using the experience of external consultants who are able to introduce the tools of continuous improvement in all areas of manufacturing companies. The procedures and tools proposed by author of the thesis lead to improve processes in the production company, reduce waste of all resources and thereby saving considerable funds. Audit in the production company revealed weaknesses that the author together with the management planned to remove by tools of Lean Management. Work is finished summary of successfully completed and ongoing lean manufacturing tools.

The role of employment offices in the process of applying the policy of active employment

This diploma thesis examines the role of the regional branches of the Employment Office of the Czech Republic in the framework of applying the active employment policy. It thematically focuses on the tools of active employment policy used by the Employment Office in the Region of Ústí nad Labem. Particular attention is paid to retraining, community services and programmes of socially beneficial jobs. At these chosen tools it has been ascertained if the regional branches of the Czech Employment Office have an effective system of efficiency evaluation and which of the tools they consider most effective. Then the tools of active employment policy in the Region of Ústí nad Labem have been reviewed from the point of view of their applicability by the most endangered groups and it has been ascertained which tools of active employment policy were in this sense most effective and which groups they were focused on.

Motivation as a tool of performance management

The aim of the diploma thesis is to investigate and provide a solution to the motivation of employees at a branch bank. A well-motivated employee is a key component towards the whole company success as well as a significant competitive advantage. The theoretical part, which derives findings from literary sources, summarizes the features and theories of management. Further, it deals with motivation including various theories and views on a methodology of work motivation, a motivational program of a company and a job performance. The practical part focuses on the chosen company, a Moravian medium-sized branch, and its aims. It analyses the current characteristics of a motivational system in the given company and future prospects of its employees. Based on the findings and results, I present recommendations to the organization management, which would serve to modify the existing motivational system and, consequently, the motivation of employees.

Marketing communications

This thesis deals with marketing communication applied to the developer project of the terraced houses construction in the area of Černá cesta, Olomouc - Nemilany, within support of a housing development in the village. Theoretical part of the thesis defines marketing concept and the position of marketing communication in the marketing mix. It presents individual communication tools and their use in construction. Practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of company marketing communication and the current market environment. In the questionnaire survey respondents' opinions are investigated and on the basis of the gathered information the plan of marketing communication is designed and the most suitable communication tools are chosen. Final part of the thesis evaluates the results and suggests measures in terms of effectiveness and feasibility of the promotional concept of the new developer project marketing strategy. The benefit of this thesis should be the innovation of company´s business activities and the presentation of results for both theory and practice in the area of marketing communication.

The possibilities for securing citizen's right to work within the scope of the labour office.

The main goal of the thesis is to draft recommendation how to change or extend the scope of services of the Labour Office of the Czech republic. The proposal is made based on the results of work goals. The thesis is composed of three parts, theoretical foundations, characteristics of the environment and field investigation. The main topic of theoretical foundations are tools that the Labour Office uses for securing citizen's right to work. Thesis focuses on their characteristics, usage and legislative framework. Field investigation uses qualitative and quantitative research methods. The focus areas are informations for job seekers about services, interest among jobseekers about using specific services and the level of satisfaction with the services. Then the thesis explores how job seekers look for employment and which obstacles they face in doing so. Results and discussion at the end compare the views of job seekers and employees of the Labour Office, and at the same time in another view evaluate and compare approaches of three contact centers of Labour Office. Conclusion contains, among others, recommendations for changes and extension of services in the scope of contact centers of the Labour Office.

Strategies and risks of investing in mutual funds

This thesis deals with the investment strategy and the level of risk when investing in mutual funds under the investment advisory and fund sales through bank ČSOB as their evaluation and analysis, harmony between the investment profile of the client, the investment class fund recommendations and the level of investment risk associated with investing in mutual funds. ČSOB Inc. the banksinsurance companies, ranks among the most important and biggest financial advisory group in the Czech Republic, including sophisticated investment advice. The theoretical part describes the different investment theories, recommendations, tools, processes, methods and approach the investment adviser and the client. It summarizes and compares the most important investment concepts and theories. Synthesis methods are used, comparison and compilation and are set hypotheses. The practical part is focused on the exploration of the current investment advice, strategies and risks associated with investing, investment comparison questionnaires, according to the investment class client and follow specific investment. Furthermore, the practical part deals with the answer to the hypothesis, evaluation questionnaire, its analysis and mutual comparison with the advice of the Investment Advisor, client response and compliance with the investments made. The work focuses on the evaluation of the currently selected system for the evaluation and recommendation with respect to investment risk, profitability, volatility and portfolio diversification. The work takes into account the investment instruments used, clients motivational processes leading to the realization of investments and especially the willingness of risk-taking investor in accordance with the banking system, evaluation and approach a bank for investment advice. The purpose of this work is to establish a system for achieving the most ideal point system that determines the final investment profile of the client in relation to the risk and return on investment. Determine the extent of boundary inclusion of individual investors and investment products into product classes, understand the needs of clients, their incentives, motivation and subsequent to determine, if possible, what the best investment and advisory structure with regard to the risk of the investment. Potential investors, but also but also investment advisors, this work should help better orientate the very investment advice and help to accurately determine their investment profile in relation to the investment classes of products and determine the strategy that will truly respond to the needs of investors for the purpose of what best assessment with an acceptable risk.
