History interpretation in Fred Wander's literary works

II Title History interpretation in Fred Wander's literary works Abstract The topic of this diploma thesis is an interpretation of events during the Second World War in Fred Wander's literary work, an important representative of German written literature in the past century. The first chapter presents Fred Wander's life and work and is based on Wander's own autobiography and interviews. The following chapters are dedicated to individual analysis of his three writings: Der siebente Brunnen, Ein Zimmer in Paris and Hotel Baalbek. Wander especially focuses on mediating concrete personal life stories during that epoch. Hotel Haalbek work captures a situation during the first years of the war in the southern France. Der siebente Brunnen describes prisoners' lives in a concentration camp. Wander dedicates Ein Zimmer in Paris work to the topic of how to cope with war experience. The main target of this diploma thesis is about an interpretation of selected themes which are crucial for the mentioned works. The Czechoslovak Government-in-exile and its Relationship to Argentina 1939-1945

The bachelor thesis "The Czechoslovak Exile Government and its Relationship to Argentina in the years 1939-1945" examines the development of the struggle of the Czechoslovak exile government for recognition by the Argentine government. The thesis not only deals with the process of recognition of the Czechoslovak exile government and embassies in Buenos Aires, but also by the activities of compatriots in Latin America that helped foreign resistance through social activities. I use here primary sources which I found during study in the Archive of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Very important is also the first chapter. I mention here the historical development of Argentina since the 20th century, its relation to the world's great powers, and finally the development of Argentina in the Second World War. I conclude the thesis with summary of answers to research questions.
Řehlovice 1880-1970

This thesis is looking into the history of the village Řehlovice in the Northbohemian region in years 1880 - 1970. This village was located till the end of the Second World War deep in the mostly by Germans inhabited territory named Sudetenland. The thesis wants in the time span study the changes of the local social conditions and the constitution of the inhabitants and other interesting themes whose are related to the situation before and after the Second World War which was a big turning point. In this time span changes the peaceful coexistence of two nations under the influence of the Nazi-ideology. This is the culmination point of the thesis, because it gains information from in German written and from in Czech written and till today unpublished eleven local chronics. It shows data and stories from small locality which could help to map unresearched places of history. The result of the thesis is a close look on these data and their evaluation. Parts of the thesis are illustrative graphs and illustrations taken from unpublished sources. They were given from the Czechs that staid but also from the deported Germans. Years after 1948 are briefly adapted for the comparison. Information about local education, parish and the gathering of deported Germans are situated in separated chapters.
German anti- fascists in Czechoslovakia after World War II in comparison with the Carlsbad region

Between the German speaking population in the territory of Czechoslovakia, in years 1938 to 1945, was a group of people who were against the Nazi politics and who showed their will to defend the Czechoslovak country. Many of them participated actively too, mainly through foreign resistance, and a lot of them were imprisoned in concentration camps or even condemned to death. This bachelor thesis is about German anti-fascists in Czechoslovakia after the year 1945 and it partially focuses on the area of Carlsbad. After the definition of problematic concept anti-fascism and foreshadowing the position of anti-fascists in Czechoslovakia after the signature of the Munich Agreement, there is a description in individual chapters that are describing the development of the situation of German anti-fascist in the territory of Czechoslovakia after the World War II and conditions that were in place when the anti-fascist transports were leaving the country. In the last part of the thesis there is an outline describing the development of a situation of German anti-fascists in the area of Carlsbad. This thesis is trying to examine the development of a situation of German anti-fascist, in continuity with other parts of the land, and to define incidental differences.
Signal - the propaganda of Wehrmacht in occupied Europe and the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia 1940-1945

Presented bachelor thesis is an analysis of one of the important printed nazi-propaganda matter from the era of World War II - the Signal magazine. This thesis aims to analyse mostly the period of time between April 1940 and April 1945, when the editorial office of the magazine was in service. According to the distribution in the whole Europe and the fact, that the magazine was produced until the very end of the war, the author wants to make a comparison of the magazines content, which should not only reside in the research of the text content, which was changing strongly during the war, but also in analysing the different acceptance and character in occupied and neutral countries. The interest will be focused on the picture of war presented to the civilian population in particular European countries. Of countries, where the Signal magazine was distributed to, is a special accent given to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Partisan Resistance and Military Airdrops from the Soviet Union in Žďársko and Novoměstsko Contribution to the History of the Anti-Nazi Resistance in Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1944-1945

This theses analyzes the partisan movement during World War II in the regions of Žďársko a Novoměstsko in the years 1944-1945. It defines the concept of the "partisan" with regard to the matter in question. It further outlines the positions of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union on partisan resistance and comments on this type of resistance activity on the Eastern Front. Integral to this thesis is also a survey into the development of resistance organisations in the region of interest. Finally, it devides the partisans and their overall activities into different categories.
