Radio
Matyášová, Hana ; Štětina, Roman (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The goal of this work is to create a radio station at FFA and to start with building space for sharing audio across faculty. Radio creates a space of possible sharing and collaboration. The activity of content creation, where a collective of people come together, becomes important in this regard. Radio also captures the audio image of FFA through an ever-growing and never-ending archive of music created by current and former members of the academic community. An important point in the development of the work has been the event and broadcast of the Unambitious Studio which dwelled into Environment studio. The Unambitious Studio was based on the author's own research and addresed questions of the nature of the studio and its transformations, forms of ambition. Inspired by the principle of the Unambitious Studio event, the thesis Radio will be presented in the defence on 16 May 2022 with the (Un)ambitious Radio event. Inspired by the principle of this action there will be action (Un)ambitious radio as presentation of master's thesis Radio.
Leoš Mareš - The Phenomen of Czech Hosting
Adamec, Martin ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Štoll, Martin (referee)
1 Annotation: Leoš Mareš - The Phenomenon of Czech Hosting The diploma thesis deals with one of the most notable personalities of Czech hosting - Leoš Mareš. There has been no relevant work or thesis on the academic (and also non-academic) level so far, so this is the first step in this direction. It is necessary to ask whether it is desirable that the chosen topic would be dealt with at this level. I have come up with a positive answer, for as the most successful hosting personalities (Larry King, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Dick Cavett, Johannes B. Kerner) have an important role in society (like personalities from arts or politics) and studying of such phenomenon is completely natural for (at least) foreign theory and practice. In my opinion, every society should have an interest in knowing the distinct individuals who be can influential or enriching. For these reasons, I have decided, with regard to the focus of the study program, to devote the thesis to one of the most significant personalities of Czech hosting. If this thesis would be the basis for future professional or social discussion of selected personality or hosting in general, its purpose will certainly be fulfilled.

Before that I was trying to deal with the history of Canada to clarify the roots all Canadian journalism and the media occurred. I also give attention to some selected major Canadian media personalities, whether those from the past and the present, who are in some way involved on what is today Canadian journalism, or the form of it's today. My attention did not miss either: the French-Canadian journalism, which about their form and the place on the map of the Canadian media fought for centuries. Its center is the Canadian province of Quebec. In my work, I also discuss how journalism is taught at several Canadian universities, how much of them offers a learning program and how they teach it. Whether the emphasis is more on theory or more practical. I write also about media education, which has been several years in Canada's history. Last but not least, I tried to map the Czech track in the Canadian media and specifically designate some of expatriate media that readers can find in Canada.
Media landscape in Spain
Michálková, Helena ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Provecho López, Juan Ignacio (referee)
The diploma thesis "The media landscape in Spain" aims to describe the contemporary Spanish media scene and apply the basic characteristics and particularities of the "polarized pluralist model" media system which was described by Hallin and Mancini in their book Comparing Media Systems and whose features are also allocated to other South European countries (Italy, Portugal, Greece and marginally also France) in addition to Spain. The description of the press and audiovisual media market itself is preceded by three extensive chapters dealing with press media development in Spain from its beginnings in the 17th century until today, media legislation and the concentration of media ownership. It was the development of the press (and, in the 20th century, the development of audiovisual media) which, due to its exceptionally close ties to politics, determined the shape of the contemporary Spanish media landscape, which is why the thesis focuses primarily on this topic. The historical and political development of the country and constantly changing systems of government led to frequent changes in law (press laws in particular), which makes Spain very different from other European countries in this aspect. The chapters dealing with the press and audiovisual media market refer to the weak tradition of...
