Power analysis presents the typical example of successful attacks against trusted cryptographic devices such as smart cards or embedded devices. Nowadays, the popularity of Internet of Things (IoT) is growing therefore, designers sould implement cryptographic algorithms with countermeasures in order to defend against these types of attacks. The bachelor's thesis focus on the implementation of ultra-lightweight block cipher PRESENT and execution of Simple power analysis and Differential power analysis to reveal the secret key. Power analysis is firstly performed on cipher PRESENT with no implemented countermeasures and the attack was successful. Then the countermeasures were implemented and there were no leakage about the secret key. The countermeasures are using the hardware randomization of FPGA boards.
Women in traditional Judaism focusing on tradition and customs of the Jewish community in Prague from the First republic to the present
Příplatová, Silvie ; Nosek, Bedřich (advisor) ; Holubová, Markéta (referee)
This diploma thesis outlines the view of women's life in traditional Judaism on the territory of the capital city of Prague. The work is not only focused on Jewish history from the First Republic to the present, the development of the social coexistence of Czechs and Jews over the last two centuries, but also on the preserved traditions and contemporary practices of Jewish women. The aim of my work is to clarify the traditions and customs that have been observed and changed in Prague and have evolved over time, under the influence of the surrounding world or migration. All this, with the emphasis on the fact that even though the life of pious Jewish women is full of statutes and provisions, these women are still given great respect, family, religion, culture, or society. Many years of thought and attitudes have persisted in the Jewish population in the form of dogmatism. On the part of the Czech population, motivated religious, social and even superstitious prejudices persisted. An unobtrusive observer may seem from the outside view that the lives of women in traditional Judaism or the practices of women in Prague since the First Republic are stable and unchanging. These ceremonies and practices have passed in the past with some developments that have culminated in the territory of Prague in the...
The production of modernity and the time hiatus
Smyčka, Václav
The topic of this study is the emergence of the modern time regime during what is known as the Sattelzeit, i.e. the turn of the 18th and the 19th centuries in the Central European context. This transformation in temporality is even thematized historically at the theoretical level as a topos of cultural studies using several material examples summarized within three chronological profiles. While the first part of the study focuses on criticism of the various ways to describe this transformation in historical temporality, the second part is meant to demonstrate the specific application of the approach developed by Reinhard Koselleck, and in particular by Aleida Assmann and Niklas Luhmann. These describe the transformation of the time regime as an attempt by society to create its own temporal structures by narrowing down the present in order to facilitate the operationalization of experience and expectations. A clearer division of experience into lived and expected, old and new, facilitates the selection of memory and likewise the selective formation of future action scenarios. However, this imposition of a time hiatus upon an ever narrowing present may only produce modernity at the expense of the present being perceived as an unstable, ever-fugitive point, which paradoxically does not offer sufficient space for action. Hence the present in the modern time regime is only perceived as a rapidly passing transitional period and a crisis between a transparent past and a clearly illuminated future. Material cross-sections through Czech history, journalism, philosophy of history and literature from the 1790s, the Napoleonic Wars and the end of the pre-1848 period are presented by the study as three stages in this process of the temporalization of the modern time regime.

Private Archives - The Traces of Past in Our Present
Zíková, Markéta ; Fišerová, Michaela (advisor) ; Charvát, Martin (referee)
The main topic of Master thesis with the title Private Archives - The Traces of Past in Our Present, is creation of private archives and how reading and work of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze support understanding of those archives and establishment of intimate history of human being. Private archives are represented by any object, collections of objects or by anything else what reminds to owner or author of archives his past and who is returning back to the past through this object. Private archives are present in life of human being and we are coming back to the archives whenever we consider it important and whenever we want. Private archives are the part of life of all of us and that is why I consider crucial to understand their functioning, their role in our life and to know how to use them. The private archives, unlike our memories, which can be mixed one into each other, represent concrete tool referring to our past. The master thesis includes the description of practical part which is represented by creation of private archive, the functioning and the characteristics are also described. Three philosophers who influenced Gilles Deleuze have their place in this master thesis as well. I am referring to Michel Foucault, Henri Bergson and Marcel Proust.
