Communication skills in kindergarten

The subject of my thesis is a description of the communication skills and their application in the kindergarten. The term of communication is defined in the theoretical part of the thesis. It describes the director's communication skills, the principles of successful communication, the kinds of communication, communication barriers, manipulation in communication and feedback which is an integral part of communication between the director and her subordinates. The aim of this thesis is to create an overview of the communication process of the directors of the kindergartens with both pedagogical and non-pedagogical employees. The essential parts are the research, the questionnaires and following interview with randomly selected kindergarten directors, for the completion of the view on this issue.
Transformation of headmaster's role in the process of fusion of elementary schools with preschools

The topic of the thesis is a change of a role of headmaster in the process of merging basic schools and kindergartens. The aim of the thesis is to describe the role of the headmaster and the means by which he executes managerial activities before and after the merger. The theoretical part characterises managerial roles and defines the headmaster as a manager, a leader and an executive. It states managerial functions, or more precisely, activities, which the headmaster uses for successful accomplishment of his managerial work. The aim of the thesis is verified in the empirical part, which describes three case studies that were carried out with headmasters of basic schools who had already undergone the process of merging a basic school with a kindergarten. The main focus of the work is to describe how the role of the headmaster has changed, and whether the means of executing of managerial roles have been changed after the merger. The thesis could serve as supporting material for not only the directors who are in the process of merging, but also for the part of the public interested in this issue.

It is focused on lifelong education concept development, strategical documents, tasks, autority and professional growth of headmasters in the Czech republic and in chosen countries of European union. It states stages and lifelong learning attributes, components and functions of lifelong learning, further education, the importance of situation in the area of lifelong education in the Czech Republic. The aim is to chart the area of school headmasters lifelong learning, the questionnaire is aimed at finding out what attitude the directors have to lifelong learning, and specification of their educational needs and preferences of the most acceptable forms of education. Headmaster of School with Legal personality, Economics of Educational institutions and Management of Educational Process

The work of the headmaster of the primary school, which founder is village, is very exacting due to its variety. The headmaster's rule is to be a manager, teacher and state administrator all at once. He must have the basic knowledge of economy, law, human resources management, upbringing and education. The main intention of this dissertation is to notice headmaster's competences and responsibilities and to clarify the management process of the education, the process of the school economy, the procedure of the administration. This dissertation is focused on the comparison of the time percentage that headmaster must dedicate to the education management, economy management, administration and additional organization managerial activity.
Impact of CSI activities on practice in primary schools in Prague

The Czech School Inspectorate (CSI) is the only institution responsible for external evaluation of educational system in the Czech Republic. Its main purpose is improving the quality of education provided. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe different CSI's activities and to find out which of them and how influence practice of primary schools in Prague. The results of the analysis of questionnaires, interviews with some headteachers and Deputy Chief School Inspector's comment show that majority of headteacher respondents act upon school inspection report, take inspectors' advice into consideration and follow them. The CSI also influences schools indirectly:  by setting Criteria for Evaluation of Conditions, Course and Outcomes of Education  by stakeholder pressure  by publishing of numerous outputs  by means of InspIS SET system The research shows that most headteacher respondents consider school inspections to be important for them. History and perspective of multilevelled school specified on Jicin region

The target of this diploma thesis has been to process the development of Multileveled School in Jičíněves (district of Jičín) and to demonstrate benefit of the acquired knowledge for school work. The theoretic part devotes to the study of Jičíněves school commemorative books and in a wider view also whole Jičín region. Insight into the development, present position and perspective of the elementary education in the Czech lands with the focus on multileveled schools goes before these chapters. Historic methods and document content analysis has been used for this work. The practice part describes the project realized with pupils of primary school age. Its target has been to acquaint the pupils with history of the school in Jičíněves through activated methods and to impress on their attitude to the school and the place they live. Survey of present situation and perspective of multileveled schools in Jičín region including the school in Jičíněves has been done through the questionnaires and interviews. Vitality of the multileveled schools has been evaluated by analysis of the result.

TITLE: Headmaster's influence at educational results of pupils AUTHOR: Hana Kindlová DEPARTMENT: School Management Centre SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jan Voda, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The topic of this thesis is to investigate the influence of the headmaster on pupils' educational results. The aim is to suggest and verify a model suitable for analyzing the influence of the headmaster on pupils' educational results. The basic research question is the following: "How can we analyze the relationship between pupils' educational results and various aspects of work of the headmaster?" The objective was achieved by the following manner. At first, they were defined by means of the educational results of pupils in the theoretical part and, based on the study of foreign resources, the fields of work of the headmasters that have an influence on pupils' educational results were listed. The influence of the headmaster on educational results of a selected research sample of pupils was examined, described and quantified in the research part by means of a survey (in the form of an interview), its analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
