Protestantism in the Region of Most in Modern History

The Modern History of Protestantism in the Most Region. The author aims to sumarize knowledges from history of reformation in Most region. She uses informations gathered in archives, literature, even from tales of people of that age. The tracks of reformation in nature, material heritage of our ancestors are part of rich photo attachment. The whole work consists of 6 main chapters. In the first chapter she uses informations gathered in National regional archive of city of Most and presents manifestations of reformations in the villages of Most township. The second chapter sumarizes the history of city of Most with a touch of reformation. In the third chapter she interests in 2 elements, possible causes of specifications of the Most region. In the fourth chapter she submits the list of Most region sacral monuments, sadly in the majority no longer existing ones. In the fifth chapter she follows evangelic missions in north- west Bohemia, the beginnings of preachers stations in Most region and the conception and evolution of parish corps ČCE in the city of Most. In the sixth chapter she states the results of research work in National regional archive. She describes long term problems of Most evangelists with acquisition of property.

Contemporary Trends of Protestant Liturgical Music in the Czech Republic

anglicky The diploma thesis Contemporary Trends of Protestant Liturgical Music in the Czech Republic deals mainly with both - musical and unmusical - element of contemporary praise and worship songs used at protestant Sunday services. The aim of praise and worship music in a Sunday service, is to give praise to God, as well as it was in biblical times. Therefore the first chapter of the thesis presents observations about music in the Bible and examines its connections to non-musical ways of praising God, which throws light upon the situation today. The part of the thesis which makes the reader familiar with current situation of protestant liturgical music in the Czech Republic, points out weaknesses in present-day song writing and shows a need of musical education for Christians, who take part in performing music at Church, compose songs and translate them from other languages. There is also a notable trend of adapting hymnbook songs, which therefore become friendlier to younger generation who prefers livelier music. Although there is not any board for protestant liturgical music, there are several influential personalities, whose view on various components of music liturgy and relationship to God's praise are presented in the third chapter. The Confession in the Protestantism and its Historical Transformations

anglicky Annotation In my thesis I deal with the Confession in European nad especially Czech Protestantism, its conception, form and transformations in history. The focus of my work is to look at the Confession in the Reformation and its further development. The work is divided into four major chapters: (1) The Confession, (2) The Confession and reformers, (3) The Cofession and reformist religions, (4) The Confession of contemporary Protestantism. Each of these chapters is further divided into subsections. In conclusion I describe the effort to reintroduce private Confession as solid form of church life and I think about reasons why nowadays in Protestant churches private Confession used only sporadically. Literature in the works of theologians - the example of Karl Barth and Rudolf Bultmann

The aim of the proposed Bachelor thesis named Literature in the works of theologians - the example of Karl Barth and Rudolf Bultmann is to assess the significance of German literature in selected works of the aforementioned theologians. In the case of Karl Barth's, the analysis is concerned with the reception of classical German authors (Römerbrief, 1919) and Dostoevsky (Römerbrief, 1922). A separate part is devoted to examining the relevant excerpts from his correspondence with the German writer Carl Zuckmayer towards the end of the theologian's life. In Rudolf Bultmann's cas, the attention is pointed at broader hermeneutic contexts, especially at the relations of culture and religion after the World War I, and Bultmann's reaction to Deschner's criticism of the role of religion from the end of the 1950s, Furthermore, an analysis of a selection of homilies form after the World War I is included, along with a brief characterization the specifics of this particular discourse. The Legal Order of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren - History and Present The aim of this thesis is to gather available sources concerning the legal order of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ECCB) since its establishment in 1918 to the present day. The sources used address the legal history of the Protestant Church in Cisleithania from 1848 until the end of World War I. A critical analysis of the sources is carried out to document the development of the church constitution and the orders of the ECCB. The criteria for the elaboration of individual storylines are primarily the historical relevance and the practical applicability of the information regarding the ECCB Strategic Plan of 2019. The thesis consists of an introduction, followed by three parts, and a conclusion. The first part, (1848-1922), comprises four chapters covering the legal history of the Protestant Church in Cisleithania from the revolutionary years 1848/1849 until the dissolution of Austria-Hungary and the establishment of both Czechoslovakia and the ECCB. Czech Leuenberg Synod

Czech Leuenberg Synod The thesis deals with the Czech Leuenberg Synod, an ecumenical assembly of denominations that signed the Leuenberg Agreement (Church of the Brethren in the Czech Republic, Czechoslovak Hussite Church, Church of Czech Brethren, Methodist Church, Silesian Church of the Augsburg Confession). The Synod was formed in 2000. The meetings of the Synod take place every other year and each denomination is represented by four delegates. The first chapter introduces the historical and theological importance of the Leuenberg Agreement as the basic document of the Synod. The second chapter deals with the first meeting in 2000, its statutes and the documents approved on this meeting. The third chapter describes the following meetings and focuses on the topic of each meeting, important documents and/or decisions of the Synod. This chapter includes also the names of the Synod presidents and vice-presidents. The fourth chapter is a reflection of the twenty years of the existence of the Synod and it introduces several suggestions for the future work.
