Political marketing in Slovakia: campaign 1998

This thesis deals with political marketing and its use in Slovakia in 1998 election campaign. Political marketing is gaining more and more importance with every election. Thus, it provokes inconsistent and controversial reactions not only among voters but also among scholars. The first chapter characterizes history and the recent discourse in the field of political marketing. Second part concerns the situation in the country after the era of government of Vladimir Meciar in the area of democracy, foreign policy and also describes contribution of slovak civil society to the campaign of 1998. The third chapter contains an introduction to the Lees-Marshment model of a market-oriented party, which builds a theoretical framework for the last, analytical part of this article, the analysis of the use of political marketing by political parties in Slovakia in 1998. The main objective of this analysis is to prove the presence of the concept of a market-oriented party according to the Lees-Marshment model among slovak political parties that have succeeded in the general election to the National Council of the Slovak Republic. Secondly, a question arises of possibility of application of such a model on unconsolidated system of political parties, as it was in Slovakia in 1998.

Company Tilak, a.s. and its entry to the foreign markets

The bachelor thesis deals with Czech company Tilak, a.s. The main theme is the company's recent entry to the Japanese market. At the beginning there is described the origin of the company, the main object of its business and the production process. The second chapter is devoted to fashion in Japan, its historical development and the specific meaning of today's clothing. Afterwards there is described the process of establishing contacts with Japanese partners and the progress of cooperation. In the end there is described personalization as a marketing strategy which should serve the company for attracting new customers.

Aznar's foreign policy

The target of this work is an analysis of the diplomatic attitude of Aznar's governments (1996 - 2000 and 2000 - 2004) towards the traditional regions of spanish diplomacy - Europe, United States of America, Mediterranean and also the states of north Africa and Latin America. The goal of this work is not to provide compact overview of interrelationships and politics towards these regions but to track down the basic principles of a style and priorities of Aznar's diplomacy. Analysis of Biljana Srbljanović's dramatic work between the years 1996-2003

The object of my MA thesis is the analysis of works by the contemporary Serbian playwright Biljana Srbljanovié (*1970). She graduated in dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade between the years 1991 - 1996. Her MA thesis was her verv own drama called ''Beograd trí/ogy" ("Beogradska trilogija"). Biljana Srbljanovié is the author of such plays as ''Fami/y Ta/es" ("Porodične priče" - 1998), "The Fa/I" ("Pad" - 1999), "Supermarket, a Soap Opera" ("Supermarket, soap opera" - 2001), ''Ameríca/ Part Two" ("Amerika, drugi deo" - 2003). She received many prestigious domestic awards including the Sterijino Pozorje Award. She managed to get accepted with German speaking audiences on German stages between the years 1998 - 2000. Biljana Srbljanovié' s dramas were published and produced in more than fifty domestic and foreign theaters. As the first foreign author she received the Ernest Toller Award in 1999. The works by Biljana Srbljanovié can be divided into two periods. The first begins with her debut "Beograd trí/ogyl~ and ends in 1999 with "The Fa/I". The second period is distinguished by the two remaining dramas "Supermarket" and ''Ameríca ". Actual information literacy programs in the Czech Republic and in other foreign countries

Tématem práce je charakteristika současných postupů a trendů v tvorbě a aplikování různých programů informační gramotnosti do celého vzdělávacího procesu. Cílem práce je snaha o zmapování možností aplikování informační výchovy do vzdělávacího systému na základních, středních a vysokých školách. Práce se v úvodu zabývá teoretickými východisky a definuje pojem informační gramotnosti pro potřeby jejího praktického využití. Dále se v práci klade důraz zejména na problematiku rozvoje informační gramotnosti v České republice, kde se analyzuje stav státní informační a vzdělávací politiky a uvádějí se významné příklady aplikování programů rozvoje informační gramotnosti ve všech vzdělávacích stupních s důrazem na univerzity. Část práce je rovněž věnována aktuálnímu stavu rozvoje informační gramotnosti ve vybraných zahraničních zemích. Jsou zde uvedeny významné aktivity Evropské unie, USA, Velké Británie a Austrálie. Práci uzavírají příklady mezinárodní spolupráce v rámci různých organizací.

Outward Direct Investments by Czech Companies

The thesis provides information on rarely discussed issues -Czech outward foreign direct investments. The theoretical parts contains a brief overview of major theories and methodology of outward internationalization processes. The main hypothesis that deals with this issue is so called "investment development path" paradigm (IDP). This model explains why countries at a lower development stage first host foreign direct investments and why and when they start investing abroad. The practical part concentrates mainly on history, trends and role determining outward foreing direct investments of Czech enterprises. The major source for the analyses in this part is based on Czech National Bank data, Czech Statistical Office data and relevant scientific researches. This part also describes investment strategy of Czech companies - ČEZ a.s, Zentiva N.V. and Škoda-Auto a.s.The last chapter is engaged in applying IDP theory on case of Czech Republic.

Financial Crises and its Consequences in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis is focused on the World Financial Crisis issue and its consequences on the Czech Republic economy. The thesis consists of three basic parts. In the first, theoretical part, there is a financial crisis described generally, with the focus on the analysis of economic cycle. In the second part, it is focused on the beginning and development of the USA crisis. The third part is concerned with the consequences of the crisis on the Czech Republic economy in the area of GDP development, foreign trade nad employment and their comparison with the development of the same macroeconomic indexes of the economy in Germany.

Czechoslovak diplomat Robert Flieder

Robert Flieder ranked among the czechoslovakien diplomats, which took part on establishment on Czechoslovakien diplomacy. After his study in the Faculty of Law in Prague he became his carier as official on Prague municipal authorities, during it he try to habilitate in the Charles Univerzity. At the end of the first World war he become the Secretary of Czech association in Wien. After the establishment of the independent Czechoslovakia he took part in the likvidation ofunion with Austrian-Hungrian Empire. After that he entered diplomatic service. During his diplomatic carier he worked as a czechoslovakien Ambassador in Switzerland (1921 - 1924), in Poland (1924-1927), in Sweden, in Norway and Litvuania (1927-1930), in Yugoslavia (1930-1933) and in Spain and Portugal (1935-1937). After his return to Prague he become the head of the legal department in the Ministry of Foreign Affaires. After German occupation he was entrusted with liquidation of the Ministry. After that in 1941 he was sent to retirement. For his resistence activity he was sent before the end of the war to prison., he was taken iIl and for the healthy reasons he didnt return back after the war to active servi ce. After the year 1948 he was oppressed and was not permited actively worked. This sigmatized the end of his life.

Characteristics of demand for health insurance for foreigners

The aim is to define the characteristics of the demand for the selected financial product (health insurance for foreigners) in the Czech Republic. The first research question in this thesis is: what factors determine and affect demand for the selected financial product. Another question is: what characteristics have customers which prefer different types of health insurance. To find answers to these questions was analyzed czech market of commercial health insurance for foreigners based on secondary sources (websites of insurance companies, articles and statistics related to the topic, etc.) and based on primary sources (survey of foreigners). The result is a characteristic of supply and demand on the czech commercial health insurance market, the profiling of each customer segment, identifying current trends in demand. This work uses the following methods: analysis, synthesis, description, literary survey, questionnaire.
