Predisposing factors of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis VI.
Pokorná, Michaela ; Kestřánek, Jan (referee) ; Jílek, Petr (advisor)
1. Summary This thesis examines the impact of life contentment, general attitude towards life, and stress on recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVK) which is considered to be one of the most common vaginal infections. It is widely stated that approximately 75% of women suffer from vulvovaginal candidiasis at least once in a lifetime. The recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis is defined as three, respectively four or more attacks of the vulvovaginal candidiasis within one year. Background: The aim of this thesis is to verify whether stress is one of RVVC initiating agents and whether method used of collecting data in homogenous cohort is usable for more heterogeneous and bigger group of women. Methods: Data from woman patients have been obtained through specifically designed questionnaires with one part comprising a set of questions aimed at life contentment and a degree of stress vulnerability. These questionnaires have been completed by 329 women, a return ratio of 82.7%). Data were statistically analysed by means of Student's t-test. Results: The findings reveal that the patients' contentment belonging to the RVVK category compared with a control group proves lower, in some areas showing even significant statistical disproportion. The most apparent discrepancy has been discovered in terms of contentment...

Systems of continuing education in pedagogy of dance
Mikysková, Barbara ; Mužík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Beneš, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis "Systems of continuing education in pedagogy of dance" presents a description of key interactions in the area of continuing education in pedagogy of dance. For the purpose of this thesis the field of pedagogy of dance is understood as a structure consisting of two main factors: three subjects (pedagogue of dance- educational organization- student) and processes by which they influence each other. The aim of the thesis is to describe these processes and their consequences. All values that orient the educational interactions in pedagogy of dance are given by these processes. The main resource of information is a research based on a quantitative questionnaire- survey . The survey was focused on mapping the situation of continuing education in pedagogy of dance as a dynamic chain of interactions among institutions, pedagogues and students.

Violence in medical institutions and methods of its encompassment
Jetelová, Monika ; Votroubková, Michaela (advisor) ; Machalová, Iva (referee) ; Jirkovský, Daniel (referee)
The objective of this Bachelor's thesis is to explore the issue of violence in medical facilities by means of a theoretical study, as well as research using questionnaires completed by a selected group of health professionals. Based on the outcome of the research, I point out shortcomings in security found in medical facilities, and the tendency of management to underestimate security. Emphasis is therefore placed on the role of employers in this area, with a special stress on prevention and ways to address consequences of violence in the workplace. The core of the thesis consists of a quantitative exploration conducted at selected facilities, focusing on the quality of the work environment in terms of safety, protection of medical staff, employer's approach and overall perception of this issue by the health professionals themselves.

Study of mechanical properties and microstructure development of fine-grained Cu and Cu alloy polycrystals
Srba, Ondřej ; Janeček, Miloš (advisor)
The objective of the thesis is the study of mechanical properties, microstructure development and corrosion resistance of technical purity copper and Cu-0.18 wt.% Zr polycrystals prepared by ECAP. The tensile tests showed that the characteristic stresses 0,2 and max increase with increasing strain imposed by ECAP. The improvement of mechanical properties is compensated by the drop of ductility in the deformed state. The microstructure after 8 passes of ECAP is almost homogeneous consisting of equiaxed grains of the average size of 200 nm. The severe plastic deformation resulted in the grain size reduction of the factor of 1000. The specimen after 8 passes contains almost 50% of high angle grain boundaries. From the thermodynamic viewpoint the deformation did not change significantly the corrosion properties. However, the corrosion in the deformed material is slower and much more homogeneous.

Harantová, Lenka ; Novák, Radek (advisor) ; Uhlíř, Karel (referee)
Diploma work called "E-customs'systems and projects and their implementation in the Customs administration of the Czech Republic" is intended to provide interested parties with an overview of systems, projects and key issues related to the evolution of the European electronic customs initiative and the present state of play especially in the Czech Customs administration. Subject of e-Customs is a collection of information customs systems and projects in order to exchange data and communicate between the customs and economic operators in a secure manner. Systems and project of e-Customs are set up in the individual parts of the present work with the stress of the link to legal, operational and technological instruments, both at Community and national level to allow for an efficient implementation of electronic customs systems. The work includes evaluation of the successfully launched and today stable transit and export systems and recommendation to accept measures leading to higher efficiency from the side of the Czech customs administration. The work is a sufficient information source of the e-Customs programme devoted not only to employees of the Czech Customs administration, but to all subjects related to customs procedures.

Fatigue Properties of Steels Under Multiaxial Loading
Václavík, Martin ; Svoboda, Jaroslav
Study of combined loading influence to fatigue lifetime of smooth polished specimens made by the material 11523.1. Followed are the stress field changes at various rates of shear and normal loading, and the coherence between the level of particular stress components and specimen fatigue lifetime. Three hypotheses for limit stress computations (HMH, Findley´s and Dang Van's)were verified.

Risk factors for atherosclerosis and its potential pharmacological effects in patients with coronary artery disease and lower limb

1 Statin therapy in patients with peripheral artery obstructive disease (PAOD) 1.1 Patients with lipid metabolism disorders Simvastatin therapy with the dose titration adjusted to the effect led to the prolongation of claudication interval and to the elevation of ankle-brachial pressure index, which was statistically significant at the interval of 18 months after starting the therapy. At the same time we observed normalization of lipid levels and the lowest levels of oxidative stress markers. Statin use was also associated with lowering homocysteine level. 1.2 Patients without lipid metabolism disorders - the influence on laboratory parameters and functional capacity In patients without lipid metabolism disorder, treated with simvastatin 20 mg daily, we noted an improvement, i.e. prolongation of claudication interval and elevation of ankle-brachial pressure index, while in the control group treated only with a diet we observed further deterioration of capacity. In the control group, the parameters of lipid metabolism were statistically significantly worse after six months and this trend remained even in further control visits with HDL cholesterol slightly lowering. In the simvastatin group, a statistically significant decrease of LDL occurred during several months as well as elevation of HDL...
