Identification of production indicators important for definition of the selection criteria in cattle breeding.
Michaličková, Monika ; Vostrý, Luboš (advisor) ; Stádník, Luděk (referee)
The aim of the study was to apply all available information (for time period 2011 to 2013) about the dual purpose cattle breeds (Simmental and Pinzgauer) to the program package ECOWEIGHT and to suggest selection criteria for Slovak dairy and cow calf production systems. The main advantages of Ph.D. thesis were the calculation of economic weights with comprehensive consideration and updating of the current farming conditions, as well as the calculation of economic weights for new traits i. e. health and residual feed intake traits. For the calculations, the bio-economic model and the most common marketing strategy for given production system were used. The main comparative advantage of Simmental and Pinzgauer breeds, were the milk yield (dairy system) and proportion of sold calves per 100 cows (cow-calf system), respectively. For the both breeds and production systems the longevity of cows was detected as the weakness. The highest proportion in cost and revenues structure for the feeding and main products was observed, respectively. For both breeds and production systems, the profit (regardless of subsidies including) was not reached. For Simmental breed in dairy and cow calf system, the highest economic importance was observed for milk yield (19.9%) and fertility of cows (22.5%), daily gain of calves till weaning (age of 100 days; 16.1%) and weight of calves at 210 days of age (14.3%) and for the longevity of cows (11.4% and 12.4%), respectively. On the other hand, for SP breed the highest relative importance was observed for daily gain till weaning (100 days of age, 20.3%) and weight of calves at 210 days (100 days of age; 20.3%), milk yield (20.2%) and weight at 120 days of age (14.4%) and for longevity of cows (10.1% and 16.8%) in dairy and cow-calf population, respectively. Based on the results of Ph.D. thesis, it could be recommended to reconsider the current breeding objectives, as well as to redefine the selection indices of dual-purpose cattle breeds in Slovakia. The emphasise should be based to growth and functional traits, with the aim to integrate preferences of consumers (environmental criterion and popularity of animal products), as well as to ensure the sustainability of animal production.

Music in advertising in Studio Zlín between 1930 and 1940. Martinů's The Lady's shoe in context
Cechová, Martina ; Havelková, Tereza (advisor) ; Klimeš, Ivan (referee)
Anotation The Diploma paper, which is focused on advertisements of Studio Zlín in the 1930's, gives a coherent review of history, development and the role of advertisement in the Baťa company and reaches as far as the promotional motion picture in Zlín. It was being formed in continuity with the development of sound motion picture, which appeared, as one of the first, in Paris. This is where Bohuslav Martinů (8 December 1890 - 28 August 1959), who composed advertisement music Střevíček (The Lady's shoe) for the Baťa company in 1935, stayed at the time. The motion picture is classed with the period context of the film industry, sound motion picture and film advertisements. The goal of the presented text is to analyze in detail the music component of the promotional film Střevíček and to compare it with the other six Zlín advertisements. It was necessary, in order to compare these films, to study the function of sound dramaturgy in film (advertisement) and to deal with existing sound instruments and their proportions in promotional films in Zlín. The result of the work is the comparison of the use of these instruments and the correspondence of sound and picture in Baťa advertisements in consideration of Střevíček. Many new findings, such as specification of the work process during the composition of motion...

The Parish Bystré and its religious treasure
Havlátová, Hana ; Petráček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pučalík, Marek (referee)
This thesis contains chosen historical sections from the first written reference till present. Special attention is paid to the epoch of the second half of 20th century, the era of communist totalitarianism, contemporary confirmations, happening after the "velvet revolution". Considering confirmation and data assembly it is possible to come to a conclusion, the nationwide events considerably did mirror even in this parish. The main aim of this thesis consists in intention to make public acquainted with selected historical chapters of this parish. Some of these sections were not compiled so far. There is not a parish chronicle from the second half of the 20th century. In the context of a written introduction to the parish of Bystré, I pay my attention to the religious treasure of this parish. These sightseeing passed through exacting reparations and numerous arrangements even at the time of that totalitarianism.

The fish stock of the Orlik reservoir, Czech Republic was surveyed by shore seining and scientific echosounder (Simrad EY 500). Reservoir was dominated by cyprinids (roach, bream) with considerable share of predatory fish and perch. Inshore biomass an abundance was 302 kg/ha and 3920 inds/ha respectively. Populations show sustainable recruitment without variation of year class strength. The open water biomass estimated by hydroacoustics was 145.5 kg/ha. Assuming hydrological conditions of light flood in June 2004 it was not possible to trace any changes of the fish stock of the reservoir connected with the operation of the Temelin nuclear power station.

Influence of the estoppage of right to deduction of VAT related to personal cars
Dufek, Jakub ; Slintáková, Barbora (advisor) ; Hartlová, Alena (referee)
The purpose of this work is to describe an amendment of the Act of the value added tax (VAT) from 2009, that cancelled an estoppage of right to deduction of VAT concerning personal motor cars. In first two chapters I summarize goals and expectations resulting from the amendment, then I compare the situation in the Czech republic with other states of the European Union and last but not least is my consideration of the legislative process of approving the amendment, to be accurate the part referring to an estoppage of right to deduction of VAT related to automobiles. The aim of this work is to discover whether the purchasebility of cars increased due to the mentioned change of law. I analyse the evolution of saleability of vehicles under 3.5 tonnes before and after the force of the changed law of VAT. Based on the results of the analysis, it is possible to review, that the expected effect of an increase in demand for motor cars has not appeared after the cancellation of an estoppage of right to deduction of VAT.

Latin medieval hagiographie, its structure and influence in Bohemian lands
Izdný, Jakub ; Suchánek, Drahomír (referee) ; Drška, Václav (advisor)
I try to compare latine legends of first European christian monarchs of the early Middle Ages in my work. This way I detected some standard type of hagiographical story with this topic. The conformity lies in the way of acceptation of baptism, appearance of two secondary persons - the wife, who is accepting the sanctity, and the missionary bishop - and not least in using the theme of battle for faith. Especially the character of pious wife seems to be very important in hagiography and implies obviously the realy way of spreading christian religion with the marriage policy. As well important are findings, that despite the quite wide time span between the genesis of the oldest and the latest compared text, amplified by the different historical situation of Germanic and Central European peoples, shows the hagiography considerable similarity and proves the cultural alliance of West and Central Europe.

Hate speech in the Czech legal theory and media practice
Moravová, Veronika ; Křeček, Jan (advisor) ; Štechová, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of "hate speech" in relation to the freedom of expression. In the first part, I went into the legislation on freedom of expression and hate speech in our legal system. I devoted a considerable part to international treaties concerning this issue that, according to the Constitution, are a part of our laws and base of the national legislation to a great extent. There are two different approaches to the freedom of expression - the American and European one. The first one is close to the absolute concept of freedom of speech that also covers the hate speech. The second one excludes the hate speech from its protection. The most typical representatives of these two approaches are the U.S. and Germany so I have also paid attention to the legislation of the two countries. As this topic is extremely wide, I chose for the practical part a few cases that are somehow boundary. With the aid of these extremes, I tried to define the limits of freedom of speech. In the next two subsections, I tried to reflect two controversial lawsuits medially, i.e. the Mein Kampf edition and the visit of David Duke in pages of the Lidové noviny, Právo and MF Dnes. The next subsection is devoted to the Internet, beyond the territory of states, so, logically, there is a collision between...

Nedospělá stádia pleurostiktních listorohých brouků (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Pleurosticti):morfologie, biologie a jejich význam pro fylogenetické studie
Šípek, Petr ; Král, David (advisor) ; Bezděk, Aleš (referee) ; Ahrens, Dirk (referee)
Summary: The immature stages of holometabolous insects are traditionally less studied than the adults. Albeit this neglect could be explained by the still unsatisfactory knowledge of adults, it is clear, that we lose a considerable amount of information on bionomy, ecology and also phylogeny of insects due to this constant ignorance. The thesis focuses on the immature stages of the very popular and widely known group of Scarab beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae), more precisely on the "pleurostict" or phytophagous scarab beetle clade, e.g. on larvae of various chafers, rhinoceros beetles or flower beetles. The work consists of three papers already published in international journals, one manuscript prepared for submission and a general introductory chapter focusing on the problematic aspects of scarab beetles phylogeny and the study of the immature stages of scarabs. As mentioned above, the Scarab beetles represent a widely know group of insects. Despite being so popular, the group is everything else but well studied (probably with the exception of alpha-taxonomical level), which is best demonstrated by the absence of a broadly accepted phylogenetical hypothesis of the whole group. In the first two papers included into the thesis we focused on the phylogenetic relationships within the group Cetoniinae (with...
