The price source reducing coefficient impact on total index of dissimilarity by the real estate valuation comparative method
Cupal, Martin ; Korytárová, Jana (referee) ; Kropáčková, Barbora (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
True market prices of real estates, unlike bid prices, are often hard to reach. Nevertheless, this information is necessary for many direct and indirect real estate market subjects, especially for valuation purposes. Therefore the bid prices of concrete real estates are often used, but they are not generally equivalent market prices. And so it´s necessary to find some way to convert bid prices to market prices. This dissertation thesis shows definite approach to this issue. Market price and bid price rate is estimated by multi-dimensional linear regression model and non-linear estimations of simple regression. Multi-dimensional linear regression model estimates the values of this rate from other variables, like supply duration, price line according to localities and other. Non-linear estimations of regression function were used for the trend bid and market price modelling in dependence on number of the population in various localities.

Performance Analysis in IP-Based Industrial Communication Networks

Private Equity and Venture Capital Investment
Cupák, Patrik ; Sato, Alexej (advisor) ; Černohlávková, Eva (referee) ; Baláž, Peter (referee) ; Kursová, Petra (referee)
This doctoral thesis is focused on the most progressive part of alternative financing for small business nowadays, on Private Equity and Venture Capital. Despite its undeniable importance, compared to the more traditional ways of collecting financial resources for further business development, only very little research has been done in this area from the point of view of economics sciences. The recent world financial crisis has only served to highlight the importance of Private Equity. However, the theory is still unable to provide answers to many questions raised by practice. In view of that, the main aim of the thesis is to provide detailed description of the field, examine the current trends in Private Equity investment and introduce Private Equity as one of the most perspective systems of business activity financing. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The definition of financial market, its functioning as well as the main agents are included in the first part of the dissertation. The second part deals with the comparison between the EU and its new member states represented by the region of Central and Eastern Europe, and also examines the factors that have been influencing Private Equity development in the last four years and their mutual interdependencies. In the third part, the original valuation model measuring total returns of Private Equity investments is developed. In his dissertation, the author tests the following hypotheses: 1. Private Equity can be considered as one of the most risky investments among all. Total return from PE is well above the average of any other forms of investment. 2. The total amount of Private Equity investments in CEE region is growing steadily. The largest part of this investment is constituted by Buy-outs. Both tested hypotheses are confirmed. This doctoral thesis of Patrik Cupak provides a detailed analysis of Private Equity investments development. The main contribution of the dissertation is the fact that it represents the first analysis comparing the actual situation in Private Equity investments in European and CEE region of this type. The thesis also has significant theoretical and practical contributions due to its wide content and original analysis in this field. Its findings can be thus used in both, practice as well as the academic field.

Splendor curiae regis. Life and cluture on the court of the last Przemyslid
Dvořáčková, Dana ; Žemlička, Josef (advisor) ; Bobková, Lenka (referee) ; Iwanczak, Vojciech (referee)
The dissertation thesis Splendor curiae regis. Life and culture in the court oj the last Přemyslid is dedicated to a study of the sovereigns' court of the second half of thirteenth and beginning of fourteenth century. The author' s effort is focused on the royal court, and the regnal period, of Wenceslas II, king of Bohemia and Poland (1278/1283 - 1305). The text inc1udes reference to parallels crossing the borders of this chronological framework both into the earlier and into the later time periods. The royal court constitutes a target of study as one of the most important institutions of the medieval period, as its centralizing influence permeated all society. The court represented the place where politi cal decisions were taken, the supreme instance of power and representation. Much in the same manner, the court constituted a centre and vanguard of courtly chivalric culture, bursting into a full bloom in this very time. The texť s seven chapters include, first and foremost, an analysis of sources and specialized literature and presentation of the author' s methodical approach (Chapters 1-2). The major results are presented in Chapters 3-8. Chapter 3 surveys the coeval ideas of a kingly court reflected in written sources, which most frequently distinguish between the curia minor and the curia maior,...

The Funeral and the Cemetery in the Legislation of the Code of Canon Law in View of the Laws of the Czech Republic
Kotrlý, Tomáš ; Hrdina, Antonín (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee) ; Knoll, Vilém (referee)
The dissertation thesis analyses legal guarantees of the respect for human mortal remains and human remains in Canon laws, including the protection of places where they are sepulchred or deposited, i. e. cemeteries in particular, in the course of history in view of secular laws in the Czech lands. It further deals with the Canon legal aspects of ecclesiastical funeral rites. In the Church the rites are understood as a sacramental and through the symbolic meaning thereof they point at Christian hope for resurrection with Christ. Primarily the deceased Catholics, including those who have had serious legal pastoral problems in the course of their lives have got the right to ecclesiastical funeral rites, where they have shown certain signs of penitence prior to their death. The office of Christian funeral rites consists in the accomplishment of the current community of the bereaved with the deceased and strengthening of the hope for the reunion in resurrection. Thanks to Christian faith in resurrection, traditional funeral rituals of pagan nations have transformed in voicing the hope for the eternal life.

Islet transplantation represents an alternative approach in the treatment of patients with type-1 diabetes mellitus. It makes possible to give insulin-producing tissue to patients, which could not underwent surgery operative due to ill health. The second benefit of tissue transplantation is utilization of pancreases unsuitable for organ transplantation in term of surgical criteria. The dissertation includes two studies focused on study of some problems of islet transplantation. In the first study was tested a new method for induction of microchimerism by bone marrow transplantation and its effect on islet allograft survival. We reported, that short-term tacrolimus therapy significantly prolonged insulin independence in fully allogeneic rat model even if the immunosupresants were discontinued. Conditioning of recipients with bone marrow cells transplantation had not additional effect. In the second study there is presented an approach for imaging of intrahepatally-sited islets. The technique is based on labeling of islets by non-toxic superparamagnetic agent during two day culture. After transplantation islets are imaged as hypointense spots on T2 weighing magnetic resonance sections in both in vitro and in vivo experiments. Outstanding changes in MR images were demonstrated during acute rejection of...
