The impact of the world economic recession on unemployment of the graduates in South Bohemian Region
LINDMAJEROVÁ, Lucie
The performance of the world{\crq}s biggest economies is slowing down and young people are the most affected as shown by the rising numbers of unemployment, especially among the youths. The aim of this thesis is to identify and map the impact of the global financial crisis on the unemployment of graduates in the South Bohemian Region. My intention was to test the hypothesis of my previous thesis topic ``Life targets of the unemployed graduates in České Budějovice`` and the data obtained by thos investigation/research is to be put into context with reference to the current state of the labour market. In this thesis, I have used the form of quantitative research. As a method of data collection, I have chosen to use interviews and document analysis. The technique, in this case, is the secondary analysis of data from the questinaire. The questionnaire was developed in two forms: on paper (printed copies) and on the Internet (the electronic form) in order to increase data. The questionaire consisted of 22 questions which are well related to the total psycho-social and economic well being of the unemployed and, in as much following the current set hypotheses: {\clqq}The most prefered goals in the lives of the unemployed graduates is to find a well paying job``, most of the graduates still remain in a period of unemployment and hence they are still living with their parents`` and {\clqq}Most of the unemployed graduates tend to adopt an active approach in finding a job``. I contacted the respodents through the job centres in South Bohemia Region. The first hypothesis proved to be wrong whilest the second and third hypothesis proved to be correct and hence the aim of the thesis was fulfilled. This is a very practical topic in connection with unemployment and this work can serve as a basis for further research, especially with subsequent use in schools. This work may also be used as a supplement for specialised courses focusing on issues of unemployment.

Analysis of the GML activities in relation to issues of copyright law
Danda, Jan ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the activity of the Graphic and Multimedia Laboratory at the University of Economics in Prague, identify outstanding issues and problems and situations in which laboratory work affects the current version of the Copyright Law of the Czech Republic (Consolidated version of Act No. 121/2000 on Copyright and Rights Related to Copyright and on Amendment to Certain Acts (the Copyright Act), as amended by Act No. 81/2005, Act No. 61/2006 and Act No. 216/2006.) and then dismantle these points, which are directly related to the application of copyright law, and propose solutions to problems and to add or modify existing procedures to comply with the law. The text is laboured for the leader who may not be an expert on copyright law and despite that he could understand the issues. This thesis introduces work of the laboratory from its inception to the present situation and focuses mainly on the part of the training (and teaching). Graphics and Multimedia Laboratory produces each year, whether the work of GML employees or implicitly the work of students, hundreds of graphics, audio-visual and other outputs (often bordering on, or directly intervening in the sphere of art), which are subjects of copyright. When creating these outcomes here is a situation affecting the scope of the current version of copyright law. In this work, the most common situations are then selected where it may be a conflict with copyright law. These situations are described as they routinely carry out and then analyzed from the perspective of copyright law. Outstanding issues are clarified and solutions are designed or modified and supplemented by existing solutions. The proposed solution will be given a modified form, or subsequently applied to the smooth operation of the GML.

Faltysová, Zuzana ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
This master thesis analyses a labour market at the region Most that has high unemployment rate. After the theoretical basis, the structural analysis of unemployment and its development thesis researches disequilibrium of the labour market both on the side of supply (active employment policy particularly retraining) and demand (the biggest employers in the area). The goal of the thesis is the cost analysis of the efficiency allocated resources into retraining programme particularly into its returns. It is illustrated on model situations and then on the average situation. According to the results it is appraised the truth of the hypothesis that active employment policy is advantageous for state and employers than passive employment policy in the long period. Thesis uses statistic models, comparison, situation analysis and questionnaire.

Working beyond pensionable age: institutional incentives in the Czech Republic
Šatava, Jiří
In this study, institutional incentives for the elderly to work are quantified by\nparticipation tax rate. All specifications of participation tax rate, which do not take\ninto account unemployment benefits, show, that institutional incentives for the\nelderly to work are not higher compared to incentives for prime age individuals to\nwork. Moreover, participation tax rates of pensioners used to be even higher\ncompared to prime age individuals. This was the case in 2013 when working\npensioners, who were receiving an old age pension, could not claim taxpayer tax\ncredit. Therefore, pensioners' institutional incentives to work cannot offset their\nincreased temptation to leave labour market.

Holding therapy according to Dr. Jirina Prekop in social work
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Radka
This bachelor's work entitled "Holding therapy by Prekop used in social work" deals with a topic which is in my opinion very up to date and interesting, for some people a little controversial. Therefore it was more interesting to carry out this work and in the practical part to map how this method is viewed by social workers in facilities offering social services according to the Act (Legal Gazette 108/2006) concerning social services in the South Bohemia. The first theoretical part is focused on the historical development of this method. Even if this method is relatively new. Then it is focused on the status of the Holding therapy by Prekop (HTP) in psychotherapy, where it belongs among alternative, potentially dangerous or problematic approaches in psychotherapy, conceptions with a tight connection to HTP, because this therapy is to rekindle love and bonds between the participants of the therapy, definition of the method, essential aims, forms and contraindications of the therapy, how the training of the therapists is provided and to the ethical codex. It further describes the current state of this method in the Czech republic and its connection with social work. The last chapter is dedicated to the social facilities, offering social services, defined in the Act mentioned above. Because the practical part of this work is focused on social workers and workers providing social services in social facilities according to the mentioned Act. For dealing with the practical part I determined two sub-objectives. The purpose of the first one was to find out, if the social workers and the workers in social services in social facilities know about HTP. The purpose of the second one was to find out, if the HTP method is used when working with clients anywhere in the South Bohemia. I set two hypotheses on the bases of these aims. The first hypothesis: "The method of the Holding therapy by Prekop is not widespread among the social facilities in the South Bohemia." And the second hypothesis: "The workers in social services and social workers in the South Bohemia are not sufficiently informed about the¨ possibility of using the HTP method." The data for my research were gained by making a survey using questionnaires. There were 22 questions altogether. 19 closed ones, 1 semi-closed one and 2 open ones. (see the attachment number 3). The representative sample was made of social workers and workers providing social services in social facilities in the South Bohemia according to the mentioned Act. I looked up the facilities in the Register of providers of social services, which is supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The research was divided into two phases. In the first phase I chose 12 organisations out of 72 (the total amount) to make a pre-research. Then I addressed the 60 remaining ones. I was told to be given back the filled in questionnaires by 50 organisations. I distributed 250 questionnaires altogether, I left them in the facilities from one to two weeks and then I personally collected them. I got back 238 filled in questionnaires. I had to take out 12 questionnaires because of faults and missing information. Therefore the data were gathered from 226 questionnaires. I used the categorical data analysis and the statistical processing using second grade sorting to evaluate the gathered data. The correctness of the hypotheses was tested by chi-square test of compliance. The data from the survey are showed in graphs and tables and then more precisely in the discussion part. The first hypothesis: "The method of the Holding therapy by Prekop is not widespread among the social facilities in the South Bohemia." was confirmed. And the second hypothesis: "The workers in social services and social workers in the South Bohemia are not sufficiently informed about the possibility of using the HTP method." was disproved.

Foreigners in labour market in Czech republic and their integration
WEIGELOVÁ, Olga
The main goal of the thesis was to analyze the life situation of foreigners in the labour market within the district of České Budějovice. This goal has been achieved. The partial goal was to find the main reason why foreign nationals come to the Czech Republic from a country of provenance and to compare the education, professional qualifications and the experience of foreigners with the jobs done within Czech Republic. The basis of this thesis is aimed at evaluating the position of foreigners within the labour market and the possibilities of their integration. The questioning method (the technique of the questionnaire) and the method of document analysis (the technique of secondary data analysis) were both used within the framework of quantitative research in this thesis. The research complex consisted of foreigners listed in evidence at the employment office in České Budějovice. This Master{\crq}s Degree thesis may be utilized, in future, as source of information about foreigners within the labour market in České Budějovice and this thesis may also be used as an origin for the of mapping of problems with employment of foreigners in Czech Republic as a whole.

Czech literature under the shadow of the Third Reich
Borovička, Lukáš ; Janáček, Pavel (referee) ; Holý, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to re-construct the mentality of the 1930s in Czechoslovakia. Methodologically, it is based on the Belgian concept of "worldview" (Center Leo Apostel), "a symbolic system of representation that allows us to integrate everything we know about the world and ourselves into a global picture." From this perspective, every text represents a certain worldview (the boundary between literary and nonliterary texts isn't relevant). Stanley Fish's notion of "interpretative community", defined generally, is transferred into literary history, where it allows to divide cultural field into plural subcultures. In the second part, I analyse the identity of the nation in terms of cultural and political relations with other countries. The Sudeten crisis means crisis of the national identity, questioning of the state borders and thus of the existing Order. Other tendencies, typical for the Czech literature of the 1930s, are the disputes between democratic and totalitarian principles, between Modernism and Conservatism, between apolitical and politicized literature. Other current topics are e.g. reflection of a Jew, conception of "labour" and in this framework oscilation between Masaryk's democratic conception and forced labour in the context of dictatorship or the vision of the "crisis of civilization"...

The forced labour camp Dolní Jiřetín
Trögl, Jan ; Bursík, Tomáš (referee) ; Rychlík, Jan (advisor)
The Forced Labour Camps were one of the first forms of mass extra - judicial persecution in Czechoslovakia after the assumption by the communists in February 1948. The law which officia1ly caused their establishment was carried on 25th October 1948 and it started to operate on 17th November 1948. The first camps were prepared before the law started to operate but their function started only by the end of 1948. The first camp started to operate in Kladno - Dříň and the second one was opened in Dolní Jiřetín and it is the theme of this work. The Forced Labour Camp in Dolní Jiřetín was established by the ministerial order from 7th December 1948. By this time there was a commander and eleven guards started to work. The location was prepared several weeks ago by the employees of SHD (the Mine - company in the north Bohemia). The first people were sent there by the end of December 1948 but only a small number. Many more people came after the camp moved from the place nb. 43 to place nb. 24 at the end of January 1949. Both these camps arose during the second world war and their technical state wasn't very good. The intemees started to work for SHD. They were gradually sent to the mines Quido, Centrum, Zdeněk Nejedlý, Prezident Beneš and workshops in Komořany. Beside Quido and workshops in Komořany they were...

The Minimum Wage and its Socio-economic Consequences in the Czech Republic
Marková, Tereza ; Vokoun, Marek (advisor) ; Chytil, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with the minimum wage consequences related to socio-economic indicators. It summarizes the basic theoretical concepts of a minimum wage and includes a comprehensive review of empirical studies about the minimum wage effects on labour market outcomes. The empirical analysis stresses the possible impacts of raising-the-minimum-wage economic policy on the employment rate with a focus on groups of most vulnerable workers in the Czech Republic. The econometric analysis utilizes quarterly data from 2000 to 2013 and focuses on workers with the lowest wage in the Czech Republic. It was not possible to confirm any statistically significant effect of the minimum wage on the total employment and the employment of workers from recreational, cultural and sporting sectors. However, the results do suggest that an increase in the minimum wage growth by 10% reduces the employment growth of workers aged 15 to 19 years by 3.9%, the employment growth of the least educated workers by 2.1% and the employment growth of hotel and restaurant workers by 1.6%. The socio-economic impacts of raising the minimum wage has to be taken into account in developing policy measures.
