Zheng Chouyu - the life and works of the classic author of Taiwanese

The second chapter mentions classic selling methods, especially including brokers and teller "window" consoles. The third part deals with direct marketing (through internet, phone and direct-mail) and multilevel marketing under sales conditions of the Czech market. However, it is also essential to compare the advantages and disadvantages of each specified distribution method. At the very end of the thesis there are compared modern and classic methods of insurance services and products.

Chemical constituents of stems and leaves of Vaccinium myrtillus
Hybelbauerová, Simona ; Koutek, Bohumír (advisor) ; Klinot, Jiří (referee) ; Potáček, Milan (referee) ; Šmidrkal, Jan (referee)
1. Introduction The study of natural compounds is a tÍaditional part of organic chemistry with rich history. The development of the isolation methods like chromatography and spectral methods enables studying of these compounds in viable organisms more in detail. The new techniques for very fast assesment ofbiological activity allow targeted searching for biological active compounds. The extract from plants is only roughly sepaÍated and the biological activity is meassured often against many viruses, microorganisms and types of cancer. The fractions with interesting results are searched further until the compounds responsible for the biological activity are found. Because of the high content of anthocyanines and flavonoids in fruits of Vaccinium myrtillus, there is a big interest in the study ofthese compounds and study of their effect on human health. The extracts not only from the fruits but also from the leaves are part of folk medicine and classic health care in treatment of the inflammatory diseases. The biological activity ofthe extracts is caused not only by flavonoids but also by isoprenoid compounds such as oleanolic acid, which is often talked about without any scientific proof. Publications involving natural compounds are usually only about one type of compounds - anthocyanines, flavonoids,...

Analysis and models of Czech balance of trade
Čása, Tomáš ; Benáček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Semerák, Vilém (referee)
The thesis starts with the identification of balance of trade within the general theoretical framework of the balance of payments. In the environment of the transition economy, balance of trade has especially large influence on the external balance and we try to point out that trade flows should always be evaluated in this broader perspective. Factors that influenced the creation of positive trade balance in the 2000-2005 period are summed up and discussed in the next part. Empirical verification of great impact of income and price elasticities on the Czech trade balance is presented using simple OLS framework and data for trade flows with EU. Second aim of the thesis is to explore more closely the microeconomic supply-side-based approach to trade balance. Analysis of sectoral structure of the trade balance using the classical comparative advantage concept as the main determining factor is presented. We attempt to verify that the exchange of goods in manufacturing industry is carried out at least to some degree in accordance with this classical theory. We also use analytical method by calculating different revealed comparative advantage indices for disaggregated manufacturing industries as a demonstration of a more dynamic and heterogenous approach to sectoral competitiveness. Video streaming - popular phenomenon. Online video is not only streaming
Burachovičová, Eva ; Získal, Bohuš (advisor) ; Minařík, Karel (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to provide a general overview of the issue of IP video transmission. First chapter gives in-dept introduction of the technical side of video streaming and online video generally and its functions. The second part presents the main roles of theusers and genres in this field and it also show the main social aspects of the online video technologies. The aim of the third chapter is to refer to the current use of technology and to its possible further usage. In the fourth chapter, we look closely at the streaming video trough the perspective of classical media theory, media philosophy, and also from the sociological point of view.

Digital comic
Zajíčková, Žofie ; PIXA, Libor (advisor) ; KLIMT, Aurel (referee)
The aim of this work is to give some insight into the enviroment of digital comic and look at what kind of language is this new medium using, what is it´s specific quality. The work should put some light on what we can imagine when we say „Digital comic“, scatch out some possible issues around comics that had been transferd into digital form after they were released like a classical comicbooks. After that I am trying to analyse few works that had been designed specificly for the digital enviroment. At the end I am comparing these works to the classical comicbooks and trying to find out what makes them specific. I´m also finding an answer to the question what are the basis of these digital comics that didn´t lost characteristics of their original comic medium and at the same time were able to absorbed some new media.

Helly-type theorems and fractional Helly-type theorems
Tancer, Martin
A simplicial complex is d-representable if it is the nerve of a collection of convex sets in Rd. Classical Helly's Theorem states that if a d-representable complex contains all the possible faces of dimension d then it is already a full simplex. Helly's Theorem has many extensions and we give a brief survey of some of them. The class of d-representable complexes is a subclass of d-collapsible complexes, and the latter is a subclass of d-Leray complexes. For d 1 we give an example of complexes that are 2d-Leray but not (3d 1)-collapsible. For d 2 we give an example of complexes that are d-Leray but not (2d 2)-representable. We show that for d 3 the complexes from the last example are also d-collapsible. We also give a simple proof of the Combinatorial Alexander Duality, which is a useful topological tool for combinatorics, e.g., for topological versions of Helly's Theorem.

Clustering as a Tool of Competitiveness, the Case of the Czech Republic
Daumová, Dora ; Zemplinerová, Alena (advisor) ; Chalupníček, Pavel (referee)
This paper deals with the issue of clusters as relatively new tools of competitiveness in economies and examines their linkage to state through cluster policies and initiatives. At the beginning, a theoretical development of the concept is presented. Afterwards, the cluster concept as such is introduced, putting down a wide scale of supportive rationales, presenting also possible risks and explaining a linkage to innovation and competitiveness. The second part of the thesis treats the issue of cluster policies as possible means of a cluster creation. Aside from examining cluster policies in different views, an emphasis is put on the justification of the role of state which can take part as either contributive or disturbing factor. The empirical part of the paper presents the case of the Czech clustering. Firstly, the Czech cluster policy is analyzed concerning its targets, instruments, approaches and other relevant issues, focusing on shortcomings and problems of the policy. Further, a case study of the Moravian-Silesian automotive cluster is presented. In this part, the particular cluster is observed with a view to its origin, development and activities. The endeavor is to compare the case with the classical Porter model and find out its inadequacies.
