The purpose of this paper is to introduce a contemporary art movement often referred to as street art, post-graffiti or urban art. One of the components of this thesis, besides differentiation from the graffiti movement and an introduction of the most important artists and techniques, is an attempt to relate subcultural theories and Pierre Bourdieu's theory of social field to the movement. The primary sources used in this paper are Tristan Manco's Street Logos and Stencil Graffiti, Julia Reinecke's Street-Art, Christian Hundertmark's The Art of the Rebellion, The Subcultures Reader edited by Sarah Thornton and Ken Gelder, articles published in various magazines and newspapers and also interviews with the artists and their discussions, which have been published on the internet. In the theoretical part, the paper attempts to apply relevant sociological theories to describe the dynamics of the processes in the given subculture. First, the paper defines the term street art followed by a brief introduction of the graffiti movement to...

Jizoku - an unsolved problem of Buddhism in contemporary Japan

The thesis examines the poetics of "endangered existence" in the poetry of Jiří Orten and of Dusan Pala. Firstly, I will outline the ideology of existentialism and its intellectual background in the context of which did the poets create. Furthermore, I will focus on the period between wars in Bohemia and on the time of crisis, both economic and social, from which a new poetic generation emarged. From that generation the work of two poets is interesting for us. Those are Jiří Orten and Dusan Pala. Their work is based on the authentic experience of tragedy of war and physical and psychological threats. I will point out that their poems can be percieved as self-projective and I will highlight the importance of the actual experience for their work. The core of the thesis are analyzes of the texts of these two poets. In my analysis I will rely primarily on the theses of Václav Černý, contemporary theorist and from today's perspective, I will try to verify their validity.

Firtsly, I pay attention to basic terms like musculoskeletal system, movement, physical activity and movement regime. Next part of the thesis deals with the problematic of hypokinesia, which becomes a characteristic feature of contemporary life style. Further, I mention motoric skills and abilities. I am interested also in motivation for physical activity. One of the chapters is dedicated to somatotype and assessment of body weight using body mass index. Possibilities influenced by physical activity among children and adolescents are a substantial chapter I deal with the influence of school enviroment and family. Subsequently, I engage in right development of exercise, its intensity, frequency and duration. Further I pay attention to the meaning of motion and its positive influences on human health. Finally, there are mentioned suitable physical activities for children and adolescents. In the practical there were used researched data gained from a quantitative query method by questionnaire. The questionnaire was anonymous and consisted of 19 questions. First group of questions was concentrated to the basic information about pupils and students, next questions devoted to physical activity at school but also in their free time. The questionnaire was determined for pupil sof Middle and High School from 6th to 9th grade. Pre-printed form of questionnaire was subsequently handed out to two Middle Schools and two High schools in Písek. Interviewees were provided with information how to proceed hen filling in it. Totally, 106 questionnaires were handed to the schools, out of them 102 came back correctly filled, return was 96%. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to map physical activity among children and adolescents in chosen schools and to find out the influence of a family, school and enviroment on the formation of regular physical aktivity among children and adolescents. There were set free hypotheses. Hypothesis no. 1: Children and adolescents who engages in physical activity in thein free time have lower BMI (body mass index) than children and adolescents who spend free time passively. This hypothesis was confirmed based on research. Hypothesis no. 2: Physical education is put into education only twice a week. Based on the answers of respondents, this hypothesis is confirmed. Hypothesis no. 3: Schools do not develop sufficiently extracurricular and sports activities. This hypothesis is not confirmed on the basis of the research. The research results will be provided to schools, where the surfy was done. Based on data obtained pedagogues can improve the relationship of children and adolescents to physical aktivity, especially during physical education and education for health. Teachers of physical education can change their attitude to physical educational classes. It is possible to put new games or even new sports during classes and encourage taste to sport among children. It is important to limit time, which children and adolescents spend in front of TV or computer. Essential role plays the influence of family, school and enviroment. It is important to introduce children and adolescents with the positive aspects of physical activity and create a new relationship to the physical activity from early age.

Test-Driven Development
Kopecký, Martin ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mészáros, Jan (referee)
Contemporary software applications must provide high amount of reliability and have to be able to respond to the rapid changes in their environment. Test-Driven Development is a technique, which tries to enable and simplify the development of such applications. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the practical application of this technique on the development of a computer program in Java programming language. General description of the studied technique and slight modifications leading to better integration with BlueJ IDE were necessary in order to achieve the primary goal. The mission of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Test-Driven Development to the students of the University of Economics in Prague and provide them with a teaching material. The main contribution to the field is in the modification of an existing theoretical approach and its practical application. The thesis starts with the description of Test-Driven Development technique, its prerequisites, the procedure itself and the resulting benefits. The procedure is then redefined to integrate with BlueJ and to enable the programmer to use the features of the IDE as well. The development of the sample program is afterwards driven by the edited procedure.

Generalization and specification of lexical meaning in contemporary translation of fiction
Kubáčková, Jana ; Jettmarová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Čermák, František (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to discuss the notions of generalization and specification as universal trends in translation and potential candidates for the status of universals of translation. Methods used in empirical research are also discussed in some detail. Chapters 1 and 2 focus on generalization and specification in the context of Descriptive Translation Studies, Corpus-Based Translation Studies and the work of the translation scholar Jiří Levý. Chapter 2 further attempts to present a comprehensive picture of both potential universals by examining the notion of lexical meaning and the issue of synonymy in the context of lexicology and stylistics. Finally, it draws attention to typological (systemic) differences between Czech and English and the impact these differences have on shifts of lexical meaning in terms of generalization/specification and on the use of electronic corpora. Chapter 3 outlines the three following stages of empirical research in terms of materials and methods. It presents a description of the three sets of corpora (a large monolingual comparable corpus, a parallel unidirectional English-Czech corpus, and a parallel corpus of one original and two translations), the choice of texts, reference corpora and corpus-processing software tools. Texts analysed in the three types of corpora...
