A Comparison of the Ethical Regulation and the Legislation Governing Commercials

This diploma thesis deals with commercials aimed at children, and compares the ethical regulation and the legislation by which the commercial is regulated. First of all, the regulation dealing with commercials is briefly described, then the focus of the thesis shifts towards the effects that commercials have on children and also towards the specific legislation that pertains to the child-oriented commercials. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the importance of legal rules and the Code of Conduct that deal with commercials, and compares the content of both types of regulation (again with relevance towards the child-oriented commercials). This text contains examples of decisions of appropriate authorities in connection to the harmfulness of particular commercials, and also an analysis of selected child-oriented commercials that are currently aired. An integral part of this thesis includes a research aimed at the effects of commercials on children, and also at the public awareness of the regulation that go with the child-oriented commercials.
Forms of commercial communications on television and their use

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze every form of commercial communications on television. These forms are commercial, sponsoring, teleshopping, teletext,television grouting and product placement. The thesis has five chapters. The first and second chapters are theoretical bases of this thesis. These chapters contains information about marketing, marketing and communication mix, marketing and commercial communications. The third chapter describes media and medial environment. The fourth chapter contains detailed information about television or more precisely television medium. The fifth chapter contains the analysis of forms of commercial communications used on television. The part of this chapter is among others the analysis of data provided by Admosphere, s.r.o. and interviews with specialists from television, medial environment.
Gender stereotypes in commercials

This thesis is focused on gender stereotypes commonly displayed in television commercials. It examines, in what typical ways are male and female roles presented and to what kind of commercials is usually assigned to. Whole thesis is divided in two parts. First, theoretical part, explains basic terminology and discusses gender aspects present in media and advertisment. Second, practical part is composed of two main experimental methods. First one, quantitative content analysis is focused on gender stereotypes in 160 television commercials. Second one, consists of evaluation of 60 questionnaires also focused on gender stereotypes.
The influence of advertisement on children

First chapter is engaged in advertisement as an instrument of marketing mix, second chapter is focused on preschool children as a target group of consumers. The object of third chapter is advertisement which is focused on these children. The analytic part studies how much advertisement influences these children as well as compares acquired results with the theory.
Internal and external communication of concrete production company

This final thesis deals with the topic of internal and external communication within concrete production company. The major part is mainly about analysis of data which were gathered together thanks to questionnaire research. The aim of my thesis based on theoretical knowledge acquired during my studies is to develop business plan of reconstruction of the building for rent. The business plan is designed for a property owner. It provides him information needed for key decisions and actions concerning the further development of the object. In the first - theoretical - part I'll attend to real estate market and to a business plan in general. In the practical part I'll focus on creating of the real business plan of the reconstruction of the property for rent. I will describe a market situation, a financial plan, project risks and other relevant aspects.
Use of on-line in commercial communications

This diploma thesis is dedicated to online and its use for communication planning. Its aim is to outline actual market, possibilities and to show how a non-standard client (in this case fashion brand Mango) could use on-line to meet its demand and targets. In theoretical part I analyse and describe all important characteristics for communication strategy creation on the local market. Based on understanding of client, its needs, targets, target group and competitors I suggest a possible on-line communication plan. Ethics in Commercial Communications

Thesis approaches the issue of ethics in the field of commercial communications and morality of campaigns. The goal of the thesis is to define basic criteria for ethics of campaigns and proof the reason for their application in praxis by case study example. In the first chapter is introduced theoretical background. In the second are defined three basic criteria, they are: criterion of fair goal, criterion of acceptable ways and criterion of easy identification. In the third chapter it is documented, on example of case study PaySec, how profitable it would be to apply these criteria in praxis.
