Family Guidebook to The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague: An Example of the Lifelong Learning Concept Implemented in a Museum
Němečková, Jana ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Havlínová, Ivana (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of supporting and enhancing the educational role of museums in the lifelong learning process, particularly in the process of family learning. The author defines the conditions of the preparation of a self-guided museum programme for families. The author presents an example of a family guidebook to the exhibition hall of glass and ceramics of The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (hereafter UPM). The family guidebook draws on the study of primarily British and American sources dealing with museum education and related disciplines. The thesis also features an analysis of a small visitor study of family visitors of the UPM and a description and analysis of a museum programme during which the guidebook was tested. According to the author, a self-guided museum programme for families should draw on family audience segmentation and on specific needs of this visitor group. Such a programme should motivate visitors to learn actively from the exhibits, to encourage cooperation and sharing of knowledge and skills among individual family members. The programme should make the visitors feel that the museum is a place not only to learn new things but also to spend enjoyable moments, and encourage them to repeat their visit.

The influence of way and intensity of grassland exploitation on sward composition and crop yield
BARTOŠ, Ondrej
The aim of this work is to assess the influences of various methods of cultivating and making use of permanent grasslands in respect of their surface structure and productivity. At the same time we have to take into account the production and extra-production importance of permanent grasslands. That is affected by exploiting different pratotechnic methods (mowing, grazing, alternate ways of cultivation, absence of cultivation) which have an effect on the formation of vegetation structure of the grass growth. One of the consequent aspects is also fytocenologic and production characteristics of the grass growth. In the work there are also methods of assessment and classification of space types and the summary of the most widespread ones mentioned. The earning capability of various growth types and proper methods of their exploiting is also an important part of the work. Permanent grasslands are main component of fodder for livestock, and throught them we can make livestock farming more effective. For the best quality and profit of grasslands is necessary proper preparing a land, mainly by manuring and mulching. Well manured grasslands give higher crop yield than unmanured. Crop yield also dependson climatic conditions and soil qualities. Plant and grass biomass presents materials of identical origin, which can be used in various branches of agriculture and industry.Using appropriate pratotechnic procedures, corresponding with ecological and economical conditions, we can expect high-quality yield. Combination of mowing and grazing appears as the most convenient utilization of grasslands. Mulching is alternative and the cheapest way of farming on not used (by mowing or grazing) grasslands, because it prevents overgrowningUtilization of grasslands a grazings must be conected with enviromental protection and should be sustainable.

Comparison of Czech and English Speaker's Use of English Intersentential Connectives in Geographic Articles
Jirsová, Miroslava ; Pípalová, Renata (advisor) ; Matuchová, Klára (referee)
The present thesis is a corpus study comparing English and Czech (non-native) speakers' use of intersentential connectives in English geographic articles. The corpus contains English articles written by British English and Czech speakers, and translations from Czech into English. The thesis examines the frequency, formal diversity, semantic categories, position, punctuation, syntactic functions and formality of the connectives in the corpus. The results confirm the original hypothesis that texts written by Czech speakers are less rich in intersentential connectives, which applies both to their frequency and formal diversity. In the other categories, no significant differences were found. The interpretation of the differences is based on negative transfer, later stage in the order of acquiring language components within second language learning and acquisition, and the specificity of Czech scientific writing.

Foreign currency and its speech in accounting
VANÍČKOVÁ, Vendula
All Czech companies which trade internationally are obliged to keep books in home currency. The difficulty consists in decision which exchange rate to use. A wrong translation can lead to the transaction losses or gains. The thesis was aimed at the analysis of asset and liability accounting in foreign currencies, the impact of foreign currency and exchange rate differences on accounting, and the ways of elimination of exchange rate losses. The practical part dealt with specifying proper currency translation in the years 2008 ? 2011. After posting all records, the findings are as follows. Based on model currency translations, the company can be recommended to use fixed quarterly exchange rates. The fixed yearly exchange rates could not bring any difficulties either, while monthly rates cannot be recommended at all. Finally, the effect of exchange rate differences on profit-and-loss statement was presented in the thesis.

Stanovení škodlivosti plevelů v podmínkách odlišné agrotechniky
Švanda, Ondřej
The aim of this thesis was to determine the harmfulness of weeds in different terms of agricultural technologies in winter wheat. The evaluation was carried out before the application of herbicides in 2014 (Žabčice, corn production area). Soil tillage was processed in three variants. The first variant was the conventional tillage (ploughing). The second was minimum tillage and the third variant was represented by direct sowing. Another factor influencing weed infestation of winter wheat was previous crop (alfalfa and corn). The obtained data were statistically evaluated. Results imply, that the combination of crop and tillage affect the occurrence and number of particular weed species. Findings also show, when wheat is growing after alfalfa, the potential loss of yield has the highest value within a direct sowing, followed by a minimum tillage and the lowest value within a traditional tillage. Determination of differences in potential loss of yields of winter wheat is not clear after growing corn.

Diversity, distribution and genetic structure of the tribe Pipistrellini
Eliášová, Kristýna ; Hulva, Pavel (advisor) ; Fornůsková, Alena (referee)
This literature review discusses phylogenetic relationships within the family Vespertilionidae with a detailed focus on tribus Pipistrellini relations and then the individual genera and species within this tribe. A historical summary of efforts to resolve the phylogenetic relationships within the taxon first on the basis of morphological studies, comparison of karyotype and most recently on the basis of genetic markers. Mitochondrial genetic markers are useful in studying phylogeography, as this paper shows on the example of the Pipistrellus species complex and on species Nyctalus azoreum, Nyctalus leisleri, Nyctalus noctula and Pipistrellus abramus. Furthermore, this work describes the current distribution of individual taxa of tribe, the fossil record and migration behavior of European temperate species in the context of their population structure (also studied in some species using mtDNA and microsatellites) and Annex shows the areas extending all five genera Pipistrellini tribe. Key words: Pipistrellini, phylogenenetics, phylogeography, distribution, population structure

Čuříková, Lada ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jandová, Soňa (referee) ; Fořterová, Petra (referee)
Headline: Swimming technique of physically disabled swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation Aim of the Thesis: The aim of this thesis is to describe the intra-individual differences in the swimming technique of unilateral above-knee amputees by measuring the EMG of selected muscle groups. Methods: Surface EMG measurement in combination with using synchronized video recordings. Results: Research of the observed swimmers with unilateral above-knee amputation showed that: when swimming the front crawl, the swimmers unequally balance the intense kick of right and left leg mainly using the abdominal muscles and subsequently also in the electric potential of different sizes in other observed muscles; when swimming the backstroke, the upper body muscles on the side of amputated limb do not show any different activity than the muscles of the opposite side; when swimming the breaststroke, the main propulsion muscle for locomotion through the shoulder girdle - m. latissimus dorsi is activated for a longer period of time on the side of amputated limb; thereby, electrical activity of the selected muscles is not symmetrical in the timeline. Key words: swimming step, swimming, above-knee amputation, electromyography, muscle activity, handicap, EMG.
