Personal assistence in the study program of Adapted physical activity

Title: Personal assistence in the study program of Adapted physical activity. Objective: The object of this bechelor thesis is teaching of foundations of personal assitence in other specialized subjects at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in study programe Sport/physical activity and program of Adapted physical activity. The aim of this thesis is find out the current level, searching for possibilities to improve it and reaction of participant of workshop. Methods: The qualitative research include structure of education program and its evaluation. Used data were collected by a self-opinion survey and half-structured interview. The quantitative research include the main topic of this thesis in diferent correlations. In the research part of the thesis are theoretical basis in correlation betwen personal assistence and study of Adapted physical activity. In the research part of this work 34 students of Adapted physical activity (1-4 semester) attend education program of personal assistence and thereafter answer the survey. Job Profile Diagrams of Personal Assistant / Consultant to Person with Mental Disability as the Basis for Training Programs

The aim of this thesis was to compare two positions in one particular organization with the help of an analytical job diagram that has characterized these posts in depth and structure, and to define the requirements and demands on both positions in turn summarizing information useful in the context of training programs or finding suitable staff for these positions . The thesis is focused on a detailed analysis of the activities of a personal assistant and consultant , including claims of mental and physical disabilities. The theoretical part deals with the subject of mental disability in general with emphasis on specific education and communication, that are key to promoting independent and complacent people with intellectual disabilities in everyday life. Furthermore, the theoretical part provides basic information about the above-mentioned organization and the methods they use when dealing with these issues, the final output of which is shown in the job diagram for a particular profession. Bakalářská práce se zabývá integrací žáků se speciálními potřebami a přizpůsobením školní výuky. Zdůrazňuji profesi asistenta pedagoga, která by bez integrace těchto žáků do běžných škol nikdy nevznikla a profesi osobního asistenta, kteří také působí na základní škole, ale nejsou však pedagogickým personálem. Práce poukazuje na klady a zápory, které přináší profese pomáhajícího. Jaké nebezpečí mohou zaměstnance postihnout, jaké jsou práva a povinnosti asistenta pedagoga a zároveň jasně vyjadřuje rozdíly mezi osobním asistentem a asistentem pedagoga. Do jakého rezortu patří, jak jsou finančně ohodnoceny, jaká kvalifikace musí být pro danou profesi. K danému tématu není dostatek literatury a studií. Práce proto vychází z různých zdrojů a názorů pracovníků. Spiritual Needs in People with Cerebral Palsy and Their Saturation in Social Care

Master's thesis called Spiritual needs in people with cerebral palsy and their saturation in social care focuses on expressing spirituality in people with cerebral palsy (CP) and studies what the spiritual needs may be and if personal care assistants (PCAs) can help to fulfil clients' spiritual needs. The theoretical part shows the issues of CP and the view to people with this disability, with the emphasis to the options of their participation for life in society. It deals with the topic of spirituality and spiritual dimension as one of many dimensions of human personality. After presenting several important theories of needs it continuous with the role of PCAs and their role in fulfilling the clients' spiritual needs. The practical part proceeds from the combination of quantitative and qualitative research; from a questionnaire inquiring the expressiveness of the spirituality and its sharing with PCAs, and interviews seven people with CP inquiring their spiritual needs and possibilities of their fulfilling by PCAs. The results show concrete and stronger spirituality expressing in people with CP than in major population and that the spiritual needs come out from their live situation. Diploma thesis titled "Personal assistance for persons with a visual handicap" focuses on visually handicapped persons and specifics of personal assistance provided to visual handicapped persons. Diploma thesis deals with information relating to the eye sight as such, to the eye sight's function and to the most frequent diseases causing a visual handicap. Furthermore, it introduces visually handicapped persons, dissimilarity of their upbringing and education and psychosocial aspects that affects visually handicapped persons' life. My diploma thesis presents ways how visually handicapped persons can compensate their handicap and what opportunities exist in the Czech Republic for them. Moreover, it explains the term of personal assistance, specifics of accompaniment and communication of those persons and it explains how the relationship between a personal assistant and a visually handicapped client should look like. The empiric part of my diploma thesis concerns with a mutual cooperation and building up of mutual trust between personal assistants and visually handicapped clients, thus how the personal assistance provided to visually handicapped persons should work.
