Audit of application systems

This thesis is concerned with audit of application system in copany MCR Technology s.r.o., identification of problem areas and following suggestion of possibilities in solving problems, which were identified pursuant to realized audit. First part is focused on general definition and characteristic of audit with view to his goals, mission and effective realization. Then is thesis concerned with audit of information systems, where are defined instruments and methodics for IS audit realization. Second part is focused on audit of application system in company. Audit involves selection of relevant application control form COBIT methodics and their modification for conditions of small copany. After it follows realisation of audit base on select control, summary of audit finding in audit report and indentification of problem areas. The subject of the third part is draft of solutions of problem areas in application system which were identified pursuant to audit.

Financial analysis of Koh-i-noor Hardtmuth JSC

The financial situation and financial economy are to be controlled by a whole complex of indicators and their values looked on in the time progress and context so that the evaluation outcome may reflect the whole economic state of the company and enable to point out causes of the actual situation. If the firm shall be economically flourishing, the financial analysis has to be a part of the complex of the company's financial management because it provides a feedback between the expected effect of managing decisions and experience. The elaborated analysis is focussed on detection of weak and strong points of the firm. The goal of my diploma thesis was to elaborate a financial analysis containing my theoretical experience. Despite of the fact that the financial analysis does not bring a complete answer to all questions the company have been asking themselves, it is a great constribution to the evaluation of the past development, detection of problematical areas and prediction of the future development.

Money Laundering in Insurance

The thesis deals with the issue of money laundering in the insurance industry. Introduction is devoted to general characteristics and methods of money laundering. Other parts are generally devoted to money laundering in life and non-life insurance. The text also provided real examples of methods of money laundering in the insurance industry, whose job is to really bring the whole issue. I start from the individual indicators of suspicious transactions, as well as follow up the measures and at the end of work I concern with regulation and legal form in the fight against money laundering. The result of the work should approach the issue of money laundering in the insurance industry and reflect on the reasons or causes of the abuse of insurance products.

Application of knowledge discovery methods in the field of cardiac surgery

This theses demonstrate practical use of knowledge discovery in the field of cardiac surgery. The tasks of the Department of Cardiac Surgery University Hospital Olomouc are solved through the use of GUHA method and LISp-Miner system. Mitral valve surgery data comes from clinical practice between the years 2002 and 2011. Theoretical part includes chapter on KDD -- type of tasks, methods and methodology and chapter on cardiac surgery -- anatomy and functions of heart, mitral valve disease and diagnostic methods including quantification. Practical part brings solutions of the tasks and whole process is described in the spirit of CRISP-DM.

Women between family and work. Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague

Diploma thesis "Women between family and work: Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague" is focused on current problem which is being dealt with on national as well as supranational level. The aim of this thesis is to describe the factors influencing harmonization of family and professional life of the mothers with children from two to six years old in region of Prague and find out whether the policy of state and regional governments reflect these factors. Chosen factors are described from the macro perspective but individual influences are also dealt with. On one hand the attention is allocated to state policy, especially from the point of view of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, but also from the point of selected municipality - municipal authority of Prague and municipality Prague 17.

Development and Application of Planning Model in Automotive Supplier Industry

Planning is an indispensable component of successful management, either in the automotive supplier industry or elsewhere. Through planning, the company formulates answers to questions "where are we now", "where we could be in the future", "where do we want to be", "how do we get there" and "how do we realize that were successful". The mere existence of planning processes does not grant prosperity of the company. The value-added of planning depends substantially on its subject and form. In order that the gains are higher than the costs, it is necessary to set up proper performance indicators, planning methods and planning tools. The objective of this work is to develop a planning model reflecting the needs of Czech automotive suppliers and to present a way of how the model might be implemented in practice. The main contribution of this work lies in identification of common managerial needs in the automotive supplier industry and in suggested planning model reflecting these needs. A value might be found also in the analysis of the meaning and value of planning models and in providing guidelines for their developement.

Documentary system of payments

This thesis describes the contract of purchase and kinds of terms of payment with regard to the moment of the settlement of the purchase price. The main subject of the thesis is especially the documentary system of payments. The thesis characterizes the documentary letter of credit and the documentary collection as two of the most considerable payment and custodial banking instruments in an international trade. It deals with advantages and disadvantages of their using, their main principles, relations between participants in documentary transactions and with a description of the whole process of operations with these documentary instruments. Further there are captured individual kinds of documentary letter of credits and documentary collections in the thesis. The thesis also deals with a comparison of the documentary letter of credit and the documentary collection from standpoints of advantages and disadvantages, which these instruments may bring to both parties of the contract of purchase. To complete general questions the thesis also deals with documents, that are used by documentary payments. In conclusion, the thesis outlines the current development in the field of the documentary system of payments.

The Reaction of the Teacher to the Aggressive Behaviour of a Pupil

The objective of my work is to provide detailed information about children's aggressive behaviour and at the same time get teachers to know these responses and all the things that might influence them. The thesis describes pupils' aggressive behaviour at school and deals with a typology of aggression and aggressors. It also involves influences that participate in origin and aggression manifestation. Part of the work analyses personality of a teacher and his responses to meeting an aggressive pupil. My research is focused on typical and untypical manifestation of children's aggressive behaviour as well as the teachers' responses when encountering the pupils' aggression. Two methods have been used in a practical part of my work: a method of active survey and a method of questionnare survey. The improvement of CRM in a telecommunication company

Customer relationship management represents operating the relations towards customers of company. Nowadays the sense of CRM has changed is little bit as it doesn't mean only software which helps to solve problems but big value is added in relations with customers as such. The subject of this paper is to describe how Vodafone CZ settled with an innovation of CRM. The objective of this paper is to bring closer the improvement of CRM in a telecommunication company. The first chapter focuses on CRM products on the Czech market. I have chosen the most important solutions for small, middle and big companies. The second chapter attends to company Siebel Systems and its product CRM eBusiness, which was apllied in Vodafone CZ. The third chapter introduces the implementation of a new solution.
