This thesis is organized in two parts and is called "Teaching methods used during lessons of civic education at elementary schools and social sciences at high schools". Theoretical part deals with issues of teaching methods and their respective classification. Practical part is based on a survey amended with a conversation method. Aim of this thesis is to describe which teaching methods are used during classes of civic education at elementary schools and social sciences at high schools.
Tandem Method in Teaching Czech as Foreign Language

The diploma thesis deals with tandem method in teaching Czech as a foreign language. It is a language learning in pairs or in a small group of students with different mother languages. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part social, didactic and lingvodidactic ways out of tandem method are described and we also specified the method. The summary of examples of the successful application of the method abroad and in the Czech Republic points to other possibilities of its utilization in our country. We organized lessons with using tandem method to do research. A questionnaire survey was used to obtain data. Basic benefits and limits of the method were found based on the data collection. For those interested in the method we form lingvodidactic recommendation for application of the method in teaching. We also propose the specific practical areas in which the method can be used. Using of activating teaching methods in the teaching subject of Health Education

ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis deals with the use of activating teaching methods in health education lessons. In its theoretical part, the thesis defines the concept of the teaching method, draws attention to the function of teaching methods in class, and presents a classification of methods of individual authors while providing a deeper insight into the activating methods that are first introduced in the historical context and then attention is paid to their benefits as well as drawbacks, the positive contribution of these methods in the educational process and, last but not least, the activating teaching methods are compared with the traditional methods. Individual activating teaching methods are then examined in more detail. The conclusion of the theoretical part is dedicated to the integration of health education into the Framework Educational Programme for primary and lower secondary schools. This work deals with an overview of teaching methods and forms of teaching and their application in teaching vocational subjects, and specifically the teaching of 3D CAD / CAM software at SPSS and JS Kolín.. The theoretical part deals with the description and importance of teaching vocational subjects at high schools and associated teaching principles. The practical part is devoted to a brief history of CAD / CAM software, study fields and subjects in which it is taught, it compares the reality of teaching formulated in SEP with actual reality.
On some aspects of "German with ease" from the point of view of language acquisition

This bachelor thesis deals with a specific sequence in the acquisition of German verb placement. The actual subject of research is the language textbook for self-learners "German with Ease" produced by the company Assimil. The textbook supposedly offers a method based on similar principles, which apply in L1 acquisition. The goal of the thesis is to asses to what extent the acquisition sequence has been respected in the textbook. The thesis thus provides a critical analysis of the textbook on a psycholinguistic background. The theoretical part consists of a description of the textbook and compares the Assimil method with other existing methods. It also reviews the psycholinguistic research in the field of acquisition sequences. The practical part of the thesis describes data types and foci, data selection, data presentation and evaluation. Based on the conclusions of the practical part, changes are presented, which may result in the textbook quality enhancement.
How Elementary Teachers Think About Drama in Education

The bachelor thesis deals with the teachers in the primary schools thinking about the dramatic education. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the teachers think about the dramatic education, its goals, instruments and formative influence. The final thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical and practical ones. The theoretical part explains basic terms: drama, education, dramatic education - goals, principles, methods and techniques. The information for this part is taken from Czech and foreign sources. The research which has been realised is described in the practical part. It contains searching for respondents, results and the interpretation. Three groups have been addressed by the medium of answer sheet(s): the first group are teachers who give lessons on dramatic education; the second group are teachers who use techniques and methods of dramatic education in their subjects and the third group is formed by headmasters who decide about inclusion dramatic education into the teaching process. Activating methods and forms of work in teaching Mathematics at primary school

The Diploma Thesis aims to make a collection of didactic games for Mathematics education at primary schools. The theoretical part of the Thesis deals with methods and forms, which are based on studied literature, mainly of methodical kind. The practical part engages in using activating methods and forms, primarily concrete didactic games in Mathematics. The chapter named "Collection of games" includes fifteen didactic games focused on development of creativity and logical thinking, which are verified by young learners at the lower-primary level of several schools. The characterization of each game is composed of many parts, where key competencies, a didactic aim, a recommended grade, a description of the activity, needed aids and also reflections of the realization of the game with children are indicated. The realization is variegated of anticipated difficulties, recommendations and modifications.
Teaching styles of lower-secondary and higher-secondary school teachers of the English language

This thesis deals primarily with teaching styles - a topic that has not been greatly discussed in Czech pedagogical literature so far. Based on both Czech and foreign sources, this paper identifies and describes in detail various aspects of teaching styles and presents several approaches to study them. Moreover, it puts the above-mentioned topic in a context of other related concepts, such as teaching method, teachers' beliefs etc. It provides an overview of several teaching styles typologies designed by mostly American authors. The empirical part introduces an original research based on both quantitative and qualitative approach. It presents a detailed study of six selected teachers of the English language and based on their responses identifies certain aspects of different teaching styles. The thesis also reveals some of their views and opinions of their profession.
Superlearning

This specialized thesis is dedicated to the subject of superlearning. Its main objectives are clearly organized and meaningful completion of the present knowing of the given question and mediation of information about possible use of so-called right- -hemisphere didactic methods and systems in language teaching in the Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of four main chapters. Superlearning is very often ranked among the didactic methods. The first chapter is dedicated to them. But superlearning is the special didactic system, it is said and explained in the second chapter. Its parts are also clarifying of relation with suggestopaedia and description of their common principles. The penultimate chapter treats of the phases of the group tuition of superlearning, superlearning as a way of self education and the method of language teaching called DME, which exploits the effective tenets of superlearning. The subject of the fourth chapter is the use of so-called right-hemisphere didactic methods and systems in language teaching in Czech practice. Games and Toys as Chemistry Teaching Aids

The thesis is devoted to the study of one of the methods of activation - the game. During the game, the students are involved actively, they are motivated and creative. The main aim is to explore the advantages of the introduction of gaming activities in the teaching of chemistry, as well as the overall topic of gaming activities, the conditions for these activities in chemistry teaching and suggestions for their implementation in education. The part of the thesis is complex of 11 precific games and toys, which are prepared for teaching chemistry at the primary and high schools and universities uncommonly. This file contains the rules, methodological instructions, time allocation, and everything needed for the teaching of games. The practical part will also find a list of many previously published and unpublished games and toys, which can serve as inspiration for teachers of chemistry. Making an inquiry carried out in two elementary schools to confirm the presumption that the study results achieved through gaming activities, are more satisfactory than the results, in which gaming activities were not used.
