Adámková, Veronika ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor) ; Zahradníčková, Marie (referee)
The registered capital and contributions by the company members at the stage of forming and incorporating a capital company In my thesis I deal with the issues of the registered capital and company members' contributions at the stage of forming and incorporating a capital company. The subject is compared with European and German legislation and the proposal of the new civil code and the legislation of the trading companies and cooperatives is also considered in connection with the ongoing re-codification of the private law. According to the title of the thesis the subject is limited to the stage of forming and incorporating the company. Therefore the terms of the increase and decrease of the registered capital are not included in the thesis. At first I deal with the explanation of the term of trading companies and their division into personal and capital companies. This part contains an interesting comparison of legislation concerning partnership limited by shares in the Federal Republic of Germany, not being included in the Czech legislation. According to my opinion the re-establishment of such limited partnership would be practically positive because of the possibility of the stock brokerage. This would lead to the higher number of companies, which can be established according to the Czech...

Women in the high academic positions represent an elite group of women, whose experience has not been described separately in the Czech sociological context yet. The place of university as well as the law professional field are historically masculine denoted areas, where women entered with many difficulties to. Despite of opening of this academic both eductional and professional area to women, we still see the high vertical segregation of the high academic positions. The interviews were ment to show how women reflect their own experience as a high positioned woman working in the university surrounding. I found out that the interviewed women entered this field not only thanks to their own socio-cultural capital, but firstly thanks to the favourable structural conditions. Most of them identify themselves with their pedagogical role very significantly, all of them have developed a very strong tie to their profession. Their view of own and others women position is rather optimistic, with limited gender sensitivity, and is strongly influenced by their life experience of practising of their profession in the communist period and strong liberalism of opinion.

Can population growth contribute to economic growth of the country?
Rauschová, Lenka ; Lipka, David (advisor) ; Mládek, Josef (referee)
A statement of Harvard economists about the impact of demographic variables on the East Asian economic growth, often called "economic miracle", raised many discussions about the sources of economic growth. In this work, I focus on the historical development of the mainstream opinions on the field of demographic-economic relations and the role of the demographic characteristics in the economic growth models. This paper uses graphics tools to analyse the changes in mortality, fertility, dependecy ratios and age structures in four Asian countries (Hongkong, Singapore, South Korea and Japan). These demographics values prepared the basis for their rapid economic development. I compare empirical results of Kelley and Schmidt model, Bloom model and Mishra model to make a conclusion of what is the impact of demographic variables on the economic growth and how they contribute to the total economic growth. Finally, I draw the attention to the macroeconomic interventions with detailed focus on domestic savings, labour market flexibility and human capital investments.
