Cílem práce je zjistit současný stav vzdělávání na venkově, jeho dostupnost a zkušenosti s jeho využíváním. Poté pak porovnání se skutečnou potřebou vzdělávání pro rozvoj venkova a návrh řešení. Práce je zaměřena na průzkum lidského kapitálu na venkově, stavu celoživotního učení ve venkovském prostoru, názoru na vzdělávání a jeho významu z pohledu místní samosprávy a venkovského obyvatelstva. V práci jsou použity vlastní zkušenosti z několikaleté praxe v oboru rozvoje venkova. Hlavním výsledkem práce je potvrzení hypotézy, že venkov ke svému rozvoji celoživotní učení potřebuje, jinak nebudou vytvořeny podmínky pro jeho udržitelný rozvoj. The aim of this work is to assess the present status and accessibility of education in the rural areas and evaluate how it is used. This will then be compared to the real need for education for the development of such areas and include solutions. The work will be focused on studying human capital in rural areas, on the condition of life-long learning in a rural environment and on the views and opinions of municipal authorities and local inhabitants. Personal experience and observations from many years of working in the field of rural development are used in this work, the main result of which is the confirmation of a hypothesis that rural areas need life-long learning for continued development. Without this, favorable conditions cannot arise and its growth will be rendered unsustainable.
