Relational Verification of Programs with Integer Data

Rajhrad Altarpiece
Špinková, Tereza ; Ottová, Michaela (advisor) ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (referee)
English Summary: Rajhrad Altarpiece Rajhrad Altarpiece was made by bohemian painter in the first half of the fifteen century. To this day, it has been preserved six panels - two of them have been created for the width and they deal with the theme of Crucifixion and Christ Carrying the Cross. Other panels are composed for the height and they talked about the Last Supper, Prayer on the Mount of Olives and Resurrection. The last painting concerns about the Finding and Verification of Saint Cross. The altarpiece used to be dated around 1415-1430. Nowadays, Milena Bartlová, following the new archive material (which was discovered by Bohumil Zlámal, Ivo Hlobil a Kateřina Engstová), has changed the previous opinion. She moves the origin of the altarpiece towards the year 1452 and she suppose that the panels were originally intended for the church of St. Mauritz in Olomouc. Other explorers date these paintings by the year 1440. The author of Rajhrad Altarpiece came from the precedent style of painting which was characterized by the lyric moments, complicated draperies and far-away kind of faces. The artist completes this scheme by the interest in the action, structure of place and here and there, he is concerned in individual portraits. He is supposed to have seen this kind of "realistic" motives in the illuminated...

Transcriptional regulation of differentiation of embryonal carcinoma and malignant melanoma cells: The Role of Proteins p21 (WAF1) and MITF
Šestáková, Blanka ; Vachtenheim, Jiří (advisor) ; Černý, Radim (referee) ; Pavel, Stan (referee)
Summary. F9 cells (embryonal carcinoma) can be induced to differentiate with retinoic acid and dibutyryl-cAMP into cells with a phenotype resembling parietal endoderm. We show that the levels of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21/WAF1/Cip1 (p21) protein and mRNA are dramatically elevated at the end of this differentiation. Clones of F9 cells stably expressing ectopic p21 revealed, upon differentiation, upregulated levels of mRNA for thrombomodulin, a parietal endoderm-specific marker. Furthermore, p21 activated the thrombomodulin promoter in transient reporter assays and the p21 mutant defective in binding to cyclin E was equally efficient in activation. The promoter activity in differentiated cells was reduced by cotransfection of p21-specific siRNA or antisense cDNA. Coexpression of p21 increased the activity of the GAL-p300(1-1303) fusion protein on the GAL sites-containing TM promoter, implying that p21 might act through a derepression of the p300 N-terminal-residing repression domain, thereby enhancing the p300 coactivator function. Whereas p21 was strictly nuclear in undifferentiated cells, a large proportion of differentiated cells had p21 localized also in the cytoplasm, a site associated with the antiapoptotic function of p21. As differentiation of F9 cells into parietal endoderm-like cells...

The influence of stress and life satisfaction of chronic vulvovaginal candidiasis
Hájková, Lucie ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kestřánek, Jan (referee)
1 SUMMARY In this study we are dealing with the effect of stress and life satisfaction on recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC). Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is one of the most frequent genital infections. It is hypothesized that 75% of women experience during their reproductive age at least 1 episode of VVC in their lifetime. RVVC can be defined as four or more attacks of symptomatic vulvovaginal candidiasis in 12 month period. The true incidence of RVVC remains unknown. Estimates over many years suggest that the incidence is approximately 5%; another recent study shows that the incidence is approximately 8% of women during their reproductive age. Our previous study suggests that the incidence is approximately 7.6%. There were elaborate questionnaires, including a questionnaire on life satisfaction and the level of vulnerability by stress, made for the purpose of this study. Each questionnaire consists of 17 pages and includes 49 questions. Full text of the questionnaire is showed in enclosure. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions in the bold frames that were tailor-made just for women, who have repeatedly experienced episodes of vulvovaginal candidiasis. A sample of 199 women was interviewed, 184 of them completed our questionnaire (which is 92.5%). By evaluation of questions in the bold...

SUMMARY: This thesis focuses on theatre, film and television acting of one of the important representatives of Czech dramatic art in Czech artistic and social context in the second half of the twentieth century. The aim of this work is to depict means of expression used by Vaclav Voska in his roles. It provides summary of actor's theatrical work and in the part dedicated to his TV acting tries to comprehensively describe compering television series "We invite you to the theatre". The following part is dedicated to film acting, especially to his cooperation with the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The work neither neglects his teaching at the Faculty of Performing Arts Theatre nor his political career. The essential part of this thesis is focuses on his role of Emile Magis in Félicien Marceau's game The Egg. The work purposely omits on Vaclav Voska's production of spoken word (radio, Poetic Cafe Viola, Lyra Pragensis) and it refers only to his major achievements only if they are relevant for analyzed topics. Complete list of theatre and film production is given at the end of his work. The TV list is only a selection with regard to the factual ambiguity at the beginning of the functioning of the medium. The work provides factual data - in some cases, they are presented to public for the first time...

The effect of social standing on lifestyle in the Czech Republic
Špaček, Ondřej ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
Ondřej Špaček Vliv sociálního postaveni na životni styl v České republice Summary There can be identified two basic theoretical positions in the discussion o f the association between lifestyles or tastes and social standing. The theory of homology is derived from the work o f Bourdieu and the early ideas about elite and mass culture. This theory supposes that the hierarchy of the social standings is mirrored in the hierarchy of the tastes. High classes usually consume the high culture while lower classes like the popular culture. This idea is opposed by thoughts of some post-modem thinkers. Such authors as Beck or Bauman accent process of individualisation that disrupts strict connection between the social standing and the lifestyle. They say that the influence of socioeconomic determinants on the lifestyle is diminishing in today's western societies. These two theoretical positions could be understood as two opposing hypotheses that should be tested by an empirical research. The empirical core of this paper is based on the marketing research data from survey Market & Media & Lifestyle 2004 (MEDIAN). I construct the typology of lifestyles represented by the patterns of consumption preferences. Four areas of lifestyle preferences are taken into account: culture consumption, eating, travelling and fashion....

Comperating and compensating exercises for water skiers
Zlatohlávková, Martina ; Hronzová, Marie (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
Title Comperating and compensating exercises for water skiers Synopsis The goal of my thesis "Comperating and compensating exercises for water skiers" is to create a summary of exercises, which will be part of sports preparation for water skiers during their main training season. In the first part, I characterize theoretical aspects of water skier's sports training including their training units, comperating exercise specifics and types of exercise needed in correction of muscle dysbalance. In the second part, I demonstrate current training unit using structural observation of chosen sample of athletes. In my questionnaire, I appraise results of current inclusion of balance exercise during training units in the main training season of competitors in the age group of 9 - 35 years of age. Furthermore, I describe an experiment concerned with muscle dysbalance of this group of water skiers. Based on the results, I propose exercises compensating this dysbalance. Finally, I review the influence of applied comperating exercise on chosen research sample. I describe results of individual investigation and further propose possible solutions to improve our current situation. Keywords Comperating and compensating exercises, muscle dysbalance, training unit
