Zabilanský, Jiří ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Doležalova, Lucie (referee)
Title: Comparison of thermal comfort of sleeping bag according to EN 13537 Objectives: Objectives of the proposed work was to measure the temperature inside the sleeping bag during sleeping. Then to compare it with the information given on the labels of sleeping bags. Methods: This work has a experimental character. In our work we have used methods of experiment and field study. These methods were used to sample 7 sleeping bags from various manufacturers. Results: The information reported by manufacturers always do not correspond to real use of sleeping bags. EN 13537 has primarily orientation character. For the choice of sleeping bags we do not recommend to follow according only to the EN 13537. It is necessary to follow other parameters of sleeping bags (type and weight of insulation material and construction of chambers). Keywords: sleeping bag, EN 13537, thermal comfort

The effect of soil successional development in spoil heap on plant germination and growth
Pavlíčková, Hana ; Frouz, Jan (advisor) ; Mudrák, Ondřej (referee)
Previous field research show, that late successional species correspond with soil development, especially with organomineral A horizon developing. Aim of my thesis was to compare plant growth on different types of soil from spoil heaps. They were taken from three chronosequencies of different age - nonrecultivated and soils recultivated with planting of alder (Alnus) and spruce (Picea). In my research were used 7 types of plants - Arrhenatherum elatius, Centaureae jacea, Festuca rubra, Lychnis flos-cuculi, Lotus corniculatus, Plantago major, Trifolium medium. Spontaneous sites support more species than reclaimed ones this difference increase with plot age without distinct difference between early and late succession species. Key words Succession, recultivation, germination alder (Alnus), spruce (Picea), Arrhenatherum, Centaureae, Festuca, Lychnis, Lotus, Plantago, Trifolium.

Comparison of yield and nutritive value of einkorn, emmer and spelt produced by prehistoric technology
Habětínková, Kateřina ; Hejcman, Michal (advisor) ; Pavlů, Vilém (referee)
Triticum monococcum (einkorn wheat), Triticum dicoccum (emmer wheat) are the main cereals planted by the first European farmers since 5600 B.C. Triticum spelta (spelt wheat) is planted since Roman period. The aim of the thesis is comparison of yield and nutritive value of einkorn, emmer and spelt produced by prehistoric technology. There is almost nothing known about planting wheat under prehistoric conditions. To fill this gap, an experiment on experimental field in Praha Suchdol were performed. There was used technology of broadcast seeding, with no weeding. The obtained data were used to define yield parameters (HTS, Hulled index, yield [t/ha]) and concentrations of monitored elements (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cd a Pb), which affect nutritional value of wheat. Yields were 1.01, 1.38 and 0.99 t/ha, HTS was 27, 28.7 and 39.3 g and Hulled index was 0.71, 0.72 a 0.70 for einkorn, emmer and spelt. Results were compared between species and with other authors. The grain yields do not correspond with other authors, they are lower. Low yield and dilution effect absence caused, that concentration of minerals (especially nitrogen) were higher (30.5, 31.3 and 30.3 g/kg) than common values of mineral concentration. Surprising values were observed for Zn (39.7, 43.9 and 36.9 mg/kg). Concentrations of Zn were very low, which may be caused by poor mobility of Zn in soil, due to high pH. We observed statistically significant differences between einkorn, emmer and spelt.

English existential and existential-locative constructions (there + be) and their Czech counterparts
Rubešová, Michaela ; Šaldová, Pavlína (referee) ; Malá, Markéta (advisor)
The analysis of the syntactic structure of the notional subject NP confirmed the indefinite and zero articles to be the most frequent determiners. Being used to introduce the S on the scene, they occur mainly with the common nouns denoting concrete entities in the Exist and Exist-loc types. The newness of the S in Czech is implied by the word order, in which it typically occupies the end position indicating its rhematic function. The indefinite article is also the prevailing determiner of the singular count nouns in the Actional constructions, whose Czech counterparts may be subjectless verbal or nominal clauses. The Actional constructions containing notional subjects determined by a zero article are usually reflected in Czech sentences containing both the subject and predicate; the predicate reflects the subject action noun and the subject is added to the Czech structure to express the agent of the verbal action. There is a tendency for the adjectival premodifiers of the English notional subjects to become the adverbial premodifiers of the corresponding Czech predicates. Another determiner often appearing in the subject NP is the negative quantifier no. Interestingly, it has proved to be the most common means of forming negation in there constructions as opposed to the negative particle not. Again, Czech...

Planned versus realized fertility - a questionnaire survey of realized fertility of a small sample of women in Czech republic
Klementová, Lenka ; Miskolczi, Martina (advisor) ; Langhamrová, Jitka (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to compare planned and realized fertility of a small sample of Czech women with finished fertility. A questionnaire was used to determine both planned and actual number of children, their gender, birth order and spacing and the age of woman at her first birth and her marital status. The realization of these events was compared and the reasons for failure were identified. A sample of 47 respondents anonymously completed the two-page questionnaire comprising of four parts -- plan, reality, personal characteristics and additional questions. Additional questions were related to contraception, abortions, religion, etc. The survey showed average number of 2.34 child per woman, whereas planned average number was 2.28. Further, on average 53 % of women fulfilled their plans regarding number of children, gender and order, spacing, age at the first birth and age at the first marriage. Finally, the correlation between observed number of children and planned number of children was analysed based on gathered data. The resulting model showed that the planned number of children one corresponds with realized number of children 1.47.

Valuation of the company Continental Teves Czech Republic, Ltd
Holý, Pavel ; Doláková, Helena (advisor) ; Scholleová, Hana (referee)
There are many moments in a company life, where we need to find out the firm's value from different reasons. It is possible to proceed by several methods. Firstly, I deal in theory with the valuation procedure of the firm and with selected methods of firm valuation. I apply the depicted theoretical apparat in the next part of this thesis. I assess the value of the firm Continental Teves Czech Republic, Ltd on the date of 16th of December 2009 according to the methods of which application, based on completed situation and financial analyses, indicated to be the best one. The chosen method has to correspond to the aim of valuation. The aim of this thesis is valuation of the equity. The revenue method of discounted cash flow to the equity was chosen for this purpose. I also valuate the firm according to the method of book value so that I can decide whether the methods are appropriate or not. The result of my work is partly the factual valuation of the firm, partly the determination of advantages and disadvantages of the both methods and the appointment, which one to use in specific situation.

Management of Hotel
Zemanová, Veronika ; Musil, Martin (advisor) ; Oberhel, Martin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find out common and different features between the ways of management of selected hotels and after that to compare their ways of management with prevailing theory about the management of this type of organizations. Part of this thesis is to analyse management of three hotel organizations and their mutual comparison. First, there will be found information about the particular way of management in each of selected hotels, which will then be applied to theoretical knowledge. The result of this comparison will be information on whether the way of management in individual organizations corresponds with theoretical knowledge and whether, by contrast, could this knowledge be actually used. The next step is to compare individual hotels among themselves and based on results, which emerge from this analysis, the proposal to improve the management of individual hotels will be suggested.
