This Thesis focuses on Insolvency. The work begins with determination of basic terms relevant to Insolvency. Further it describes the importance of Capital Structure and claims for company assets and the importance of debt financing. Financial analysis is important for the prediction of bankruptcy in the future. There are references to the basic methods of financial analysis, the most significant ratio indicators and some models for the prediciton of bankruptcy (Altman's Z-score, Neumaier's Index IN05, Kralicek's quick test). Theory Approach is an important microeconomic theory connected with insolvency. The next part of the work focuses on Theory Approach problems - relationships between the lender and the borrower (principal and agent), information asymmetry, soft and hard budget constraint. The work is also focused on a Czech bankruptcy legal form. It also references the purpose and goals of the bankruptcy law, rescue culture, development and the new Czech Bankruptcy Act and the insolvency process. The next part of the work investigates trends of insolvency in the USA , Europe and the Czech Republic in context of the world economic crisis. After that a case study follows. The goal of the case study is to describe the bankruptcy of a real Czech company and resume for the issues which were mentioned in the theoretical part of the Thesis. The company which is analysed in this case study is Oděvní podnik, a.s.. During the insolvency process, it used the new bankruptcy act-reorganization. The case study involves analysis of the causes of bankruptcy, financial analysis (the trends in balance sheet and profit and loss report, ratio indicators calculation and application of credibility and bankruptcy models) with the purpose of finding out if it was possible to predict the bankruptcy of Oděvní podnik, a.s.. The next part of the case study describes the insolvency processes which have run till this time with focus on the chosen problems of the Theory Approach.

Sensorless control of revolutions and position of DC motor
Kakáč, Petr ; Minář, Jiří (referee) ; Prajzner, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the management and control of DC brush motors used in Honeywell actuators. The introduction describes the types of DC brush motors and possibilities of regulation. We chose the method of compensation of the load characteristics. The basic requirement for this job is a requirement to ensure constant engine speed under various load torque. For this requirement it is necessary to develop a mathematical model of the static engine, calculate, verify that the motor constants and, not least, the implementation of the static model for a given engine. The work focuses on the limits of such an engine control or the limitations that we created conditions in practice.)

Chvosta, Luděk ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Růžička, Květoslav (referee)
- 105 - The Law of Contracts in the United States of America (The Approach to Conflict of Laws in American Contracts) Summary: This thesis aims to compare the fundamental principles and basic ideas behind the law of contracts in the Czech Republic and the Unites States, hoping to introduce the reader not only to the pivotal maxims inherent to each of these two widely differing legal systems, but also to their respective idiosyncracies and mutual inconsistencies. It further wishes to explane the rather unique position of Conflict of Laws in the United States - its history, origin and some of its major differences when compared to International Private Law as it is known in Europe. The first part of the thesis offers a quick refresher course on selected legal concepts of Czech contract law handpicked with the express intent of comparing them to their American counterparts. A discussion of the history, sources and types of contracts in the United States then follows. A general analysis of Conflict of Laws in the United States and its history is also included. The second part of the thesis contains the contractual comparison itself, analyzing the sometimes subtle, sometimes far-reaching impact of discovered discrepancies in various stages of contractual offers and acceptances on the understanding of American...

"The only Father's word". The relationship of the Father and the Son in the documents of saint John of the Cross
Černá, Renata ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (advisor) ; Ryšková, Mireia (referee)
English Annotation (The work abstract) 5 key words: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit, The Holy Trinity, Saint John of the Cross "The Only Father's Word" The Relationship of the Father and the Son in documents of Saint John of the Cross The author presented the life of the saint in the first part of the work with the intention to put some key events of his life to the connection with the testimony of his texts. In the next part she analyzed those texts in the documents which are devoted to the relationship of the Father and the Son. Here we mainly talk about the twenty-second chapter of the second book, the Ascent of Mount Carmel, in which " The Son is the only Father's word". The father is active only in one way - begetting the Son; the begetting itself is Love, which is The Holy Spirit. The Son loves the Father and through this love he makes the Father love, he isn't passive. In the Romances, Saint John shows how the relationship of the Father and the Son in the Spirit is realized in the creation and incarnation. The poem the Source deepens our understanding of Son and Holy Spirit's proceeding from the Father and his acting in the Eucharist. In the third and the last part of the work, she made the synthesis of the knowledge gotten by the analysis of the given texts and she came to a conclusion that the...

Testing of newly synthetized compounds with Constitutive androstane receptor (CAR)
Mouratidis, Ioannis ; Pávek, Petr (advisor) ; Kovařík, Miroslav (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Ioannis Mouratidis Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. Petr Pávek Ph.D. Testing of newly synthesized compounds with constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) Interactions of a diverse array of nuclear receptors with numerous isolated compounds (ligands) have been extensively investigated during the last years. The reason of this intense research activity is, of course, the wide therapeutic potential of the nuclear receptors super- family. It is known that they interact with the metabolism and excretion of various compounds, endogenous or exogenous that interfere with the homeostasic mechanisms of the living organisms. In my study, I tested the activation of a specific orphan nuclear receptor known as constitutive androstane receptor (CAR). I tested 11 structurally different compounds as well as a known inhibitor of CAR (clotrimazole) and an activator (CITCO). To test these interactions between these compounds and CAR, I used the method of the mammalian two- hybrid system, a method where ligand-protein interactions are studied in an environment close to that in vivo. The method is based on the Dual-Luciferase Reporter kit, which made the quantification of the CAR responsive luciferase reporter...

Optimalizace logistických toků v pivovarnictví
Langerová, Markéta
Langerová, M. Optimization of logistic flows in the brewing industry. Diploma the-sis, Brno. Mendel University, 2014. The diploma thesis deals with logistic flows in the brewing industry. The main aim of this thesis is to determine problem fields of logistic processes and evaluation commonly used optimization methods. Then the best method is chosen for optimization in fields warehousing and distribution in brewing companies. Different parts of the logistic flows are described in this thesis -- supplier relationships, production, warehousing, transportation and distribution. Subse-quently logistic flows in brewery Vyškov are analyzed and found problem fields. The transportation and distribution are assessed as unsuitable in this brewery therefore the system of distribution was suggested by using the program LINGO. The example of brewery Vyškov is used for the generalization in the brewing industry.

The end of the world in the view of “mysterious characters”. Arbes’s romanetto Poslední dnové lidstva (Last days of Mankind)
Charypar, Michal
The author of this paper interprets Jakub Arbes’s romanetto Poslední dnové lidstva (Last Days of Mankind) by focusing on the motif of disaster. Rather marginal to his main interest is the episode of censorship when the work was first being published, with the confiscation of a package of the first part, which showed the disaster also affected the residence of the Czech governor Thun. The main objective of this study is to understand the narrative method, which is key to understanding the text and includes the fragmentization of the plot, working with several time zones, a relatively small number of protagonists (the narrator, the priest and the madwoman), fantasy elements, the psychologism that was so popular at that time and intentionally unexplained phenomena. Moreover, the events depicted in Arbes’s book may be a mystification or the self-delusion of the subjective authorial narrator.
