Rate of narratives development in school age individuals with dysarthria

Logopedie se zabývá sdělovacím čili komunikačním procesem, uskutečňovaným řečí mluvenou, psanou a posunkovou. Jsou však i jiné varianty komunikace, jež v souhrnu nás opravňují k tomu, abychom komunikaci pokládali za životní, ba dokonce přírodní princip. Tématem této rigorózní práce jsou proto narativa u jedinců s dysartrií v mladším a starším školním věku. Teoretická část vychází z odborných knih a článků a je zaměřena nejen na vývoj jedince s dětskou mozkovou obrnou, která má výrazný dopad na komunikační schopnost, ale i na teorii vyprávění či jazykovou výchovu. V rámci praktické části budou prezentovány výsledky malého průzkumu a výsledkem práce by pak mělo být objektivní posouzení, zda a v jaké míře postižení jedince dětskou mozkovou obrnou s přidruženou narušenou komunikační schopností ovlivňuje jeho řečový výkon - v našem případě vyprávění, popř. v jaké fázi vyprávění se objevují problémy, v jaké míře a jejich specifičnost. The Importance of Measuring Intraabdominal Pressure in Cases of Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Treatment of severe acute pancreatitis is considered to be conservative. The only generally accepted indication for surgery in severe acute pancreatitis patients is an established infection of the necrotic tissue and persisting or progressing symptoms of multiorgan failure despite the maximal intensive treatment. For surgical treatment are also indicated patients with complications of severe acute pancreatitis (erosive hemorrhage, perforation of GIT etc.). In the proposed work, attention is drawn to those cases, where the general condition of the patient deteriorates combined with a progression of ACS and where a decompressive laparotomy can improve the prognosis of the disease. In our group of 214 patients with severe acute pancreatitis, who were treated over the last six years, 70 patients were indicated for surgery. Out of this count, in 17 cases the indication for decompressive laparotomy was a raise of intraabdominal pressure up to the values of ACS together with the symptoms of organ dysfunction, 6 patients died and 11 younger patients survived.

Narrative in Individuals with Dysartria and Anartria at a School Age

Logopádie beschaftigt sich mit dem Kommunikationsprozess, der durch die geschriebene, gesprochene, pantomimische Sprache realisiert wird. Es existieren aber auch andere Kommunikationsvarianten, die uns gesamt dazu berechtigen, die Kommunikation als Lebensprinzip sogar Naturprinzip zu akzeptieren. Deshalb ist das Thema dieser Diplomarbeit: Narrative bei Personen mit Dysartrie und Anartrie im jungeren Schulalter. Theoretischer Teil arbeitet mit Fachbůchern und Artikeln und konzentriert sich nich nur auf Kindera mit Kinderlahmung, die die Kommunikationskompetenz andert, sonder auch auf Erzáhlungstheorie oder Spracherziehung. Praktischer Teil prasentiert die Untersuchimgsergebnisse. Die objektive Beurteilung wieweit und in welchem Umfang beeinflusst die Behinderung die Sprechtatigkeit - im unseren Fall die Erzahlung.

Systems of worker's remuneration

Bachelor thesis "Systems of workers' remuneration" is dealing with workers remuneration as one of the most important field of human resource management. Preamble of this thesis is aimed on motivation theory and its influence on job performance. Main part of bachelor thesis is focused on systems of workers' remuneration and its specific forms. Independent chapter are dealing with basic and additional forms of wages, non financial rewards and employee benefits. Final part of thesis presents new trends in the area of remuneration and its part is also analysis of selected employee benefits. The aim of the submitted bachelor thesis was to summarize theoretical knowledge in the area of workers remuneration and describe current trends and progress which are appearing on the Czech job market.

Alternatives to unconditional imprisonment

Resumé The study relates to the alternatives to unconditional sentence of imprisonment. The purpose of the study is to focus on the advantages and disadvantages of the alternative punishments and to discribe the application of chosen sentences in practise. The first part of my study is the introductory and defines basic terminology and institutes related to the topic. The second part looks at individual alternative punishments, coditions of their imposing and service of the sentences. The study is composed of six chapters. Chapter One explains the term punishment . It is subdivided into three parts. Part One defines the purpose of the punishment. Part Two briefly compares the absolute and the relative theory of the punishment and Part Three describes the principles of imposing the punishments. Chapter Two provides starting points of imposing the alternative punishments. This chapter consists of three parts. Part One is concerned with the restorative justice. Part Two explores the institutes of probation and mediation and Part Threee shows the advantages of the alternatives to unconditional sentence of imprisonment. Energy expenditure of driving in a wheelchair in people with lower limb amputation

The aim of this thesis was to determine the effect of driving in a wheelchair and walking on crutches on the energy expenditure and cardiopulmonary system in people with lower limb amputation. For this measurement we used a device Metamax 3B made by Cortex, functioning by measuring the concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the breathing air, and a sporttester made by Polar. On the basis of oxygen consumption is possible to determine an energy expenditure during the activity. Our study was attended by 11 probands (men), patient of long-term hospital in Motol Hospital. Nine probands were amputated from vascular causes, one from the traumatological causes and one from the other causes. Probands rode (or walked) for four minutes back and forth along the corridor thirty meters long. They were instructed to ride (walk) at a speed to fit their needstand to also keep the same pace for a defined period of time. Walking on crutches without prosthesis managed only three of the testing file. During the study, these values were measured: distance traveled, average speed, oxygen consumption (VO2, VO2/kg, VO2 peak), carbon dioxide output (VCO2), respiratory exchange ratio (RER), tidal volume (VT), breathing frequention (BF), minute ventilation (MV), heart rate (HR), energy expenditure and performance. An overview study of the creation of training programs for children aged 8 to 10 years in the Czech and abroad Objective: creation of an overview study of present approaches in the development of training programs in the Czech and abroad. V. Závěr Hlavní náplň práce současných lékárníků tvoří výdejní činnost. Je nezbytné, aby si pacienti kromě léčivého přípravku odnášeli nejen dostatečné, odborné, srozumitelně podané informace o svém léku, ale také přesvědčení o možnosti úspěchu léčby a vlastní odhodlání léčit se. Aby farmaceuti pozitivně působili v tomto smyslu, je důležité, aby oni sami cítili určitou psychickou pohodu a pracovní spokojenost. Proto se tato diplomová práce zabývala faktory, které kladně i negativně ovlivňují práci lékárníků a farmaceutických laborantů. Podařilo se nám prokázat, že z hlediska uspokojení v práci a duševní rovnováhy jsou důležité zejména dobré vztahy na pracovišti i s pacienty, možnost pomoci jim v těžkých chvílích, které nemoc může přinést. Naopak psychické napětí a stres přináší konflikty na pracovišti a především s pacienty, velkým problémem je nedostatek času věnovat se důsledně jednotlivým pacientům a dalším činnostem. Podnětné by mohly být závěry vyplývající z hodnocení připravenosti absolventů farmacie pro výkon povolání. Velký počet lékárníků oceňuje dobré teoretické znalosti, z nichž některé jsou ovšem pro praxi nepoužitelné. Naopak vidí nedostatky v praktické přípravě, která by měla být více zaměřena na konkrétní situace a problémy v lékárně, čímž by se usnadnil nástup čerstvých absolventů do...

Profile-Guided Optimizations for Instruction Caches

Instruction cache performance is very important for the overall performance of a computer. The placement of code blocks in memory can significantly affect the cache miss rate. This means that a compiler can improve the performance of a program by placing parts of code at the right addresses in memory. This work discusses several methods for collecting profile information, and describes an algorithm that uses profile information to guide code block placement. Additionally, the algorithm is added into the optimizer of the LLVM compiler, and improvements in cache performance are evaluated.

The benefits of professional practice for students of secondary schools

This study deals with an analysis of the contribution of a work-study practice for secondary vocational school students, especially in the area of social studies. It describes various forms of work-study practice at four high schools and evaluates the students' opinions regarding the value of work-study programs and their connection to classroom theory. The study seeks outputs for increasing the value of work-study programs so that the students would receive most practical expertise to work in their future occupations. It also brings arguments defending the continuation of the work-study programs in the secondary vocational school curriculae.
