Designing of the curriculum for vocational education and specific part of the school leaving examination at the secondary school providing four-year course of upper secondary vocational education

This thesis describes designing of the curriculum for vocational education and of the branch specific part of the school leaving examination. I have set two main targets: 1. To design the Framework Educational Programme (RVP) for the branches with the graduation from the "Ecology and Environment". 2. To observe the approach to the school leaving examination at "střední odborné školy (SOŠ)" (secondary school providing four-year course of upper secondary vocational education) that are focused on the natural science. Both of these goals were accomplished. Ad 1. As the coordinator for the ecological study branches at the National Institute of Technical and Vocational Education in Prague (NUOV), I coordinated and participated in the designing of the branch specific part of the RVP for the new branch "Ecology and Environment". Four original branches were merged into this single one after the revision and change of the branch system. The new RVP for Vocational Education for the branches with the school leaving examination "16-01-M/ 01 Ecology and Environment" was submitted to the Ministry of Education and it was approved in the May, 2008. Accordingly, the schools have to create their own Schools Educational Programme (ŠVP) within two years and they have to apply it at the classes from 1 September, 2010.

International Study Exchange Programme as a Form of Student Mobility

International Study Exchange Programmes as a Form of Student Mobility Abstract Czech students have been only little surveyed as a mobile population so far, despite the increasing importance of student mobility in the contemporary globalised world. This thesis examines student mobility on the example of Czech students from geographical departments of Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science, who joined the Erasmus exchange programme as a part of their studies in the past five years (2005-2010). This study aims to analyze the directions and intensity of Erasmus student flows and motivation of students to take part in the student exchange programme. One of the main goals is also to measure the influence of the Erasmus study exchange on the potential international mobility of students. A multi-method approach is used in this case study, including questionnaire surveys among mobile students, interviews with Erasmus coordinators and a statistical analysis of existing data sources (especially the statistics of the geographical departments and the database of Czech National Agency for European Educational Programmes). The Importance of National Gastronomy in Tourism

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to demonstrate the importance of national gastronomy in the sphere of tourism. Factors that are influential in the selection of a mass catering facility included in the programme of tours in Central Europe, specifically the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, are defined and described. An entire section is dedicated to Central European gastronomy. The practical part is devoted to a personal interview with Mrs. Marcela Daher, director of reservation food service in Prague for the Spanish travel agency PANAVISION Tours and its clients. Gastronomy research in the form of a questionnaire distributed among Spanish tourists is also included, and the results are evaluated and contemplated in the conclusion of the bachelor thesis.

Metoda: Pro zpracování základních informací z historie baseballu byla v největším rozsahu použita metoda přímá, induktivní a deduktivní. Dále pak bylo použito metody diachronní progresivní, kvantitativní a komparativní. Výsledky: Mohou pomoci seznámit se s baseballovým odvětvím, blíže pak s jeho celosvětovým vývojem. Geometry on GPU

Today's GPUs, thanks to their performance and programmability (this property wasn't available until recently), are a promising tool for performing geometric computations in computer graphics. But differences between GPUs and CPUs cause a number of complications when adapting particular algorithms. Some of them are even easier to implement on GPU then on CPU, for others it is more difficult and some of them are totally unsuitable for GPU. This thesis studies ways how to employ GPU in computations regarding some well known types of curves and surfaces. Main focus is on area of subdivision surfaces, which are often used in today's computer graphics modeling, because they are very powerful tool. Part of this thesis is an implementation of algorithm for GPU that constructs subdivision surfaces using Catmull-Clark scheme. Results show us that GPU can perform these computations much faster than CPU, proving GPU to be handful tool when performing computer graphics geometric computations.

Part I Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty Of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Study programme: Pharmacy Background: The aim of the work is to sum up findings about quorum sensing in Candida albicans communication. The quorum sensing effects were studied on farnesol on model of conversion of blastospores into germ tubes in C. albicans. Methods: Four strains of C. albicans were tested, two of them were from American Type Culture Collection and two were obtained from the pacients suffering from vulvovaginal candidosis. The method of germ tube test was standardized to evaluate the farnesol effects on germ tube induction including the possibility for testing effects of preincubation in presence or absence of farnesol. Results: There was no significant difference in the production of germ tubes between Sabouraud glucose agar and YPD medium used for the preparation of inoculum. The chemically defined medium NYP provided more consistent results than bovine serum in terms of germ tube induction if the cell density of a yeast was 106 cfu/ml. Dans ce mémoire, j 'ai essayé d'élaborer un programme pour le français niveau débutant en classe de troisième qui corresponde au profil de notre école. Comme j 'enseigne dans cette école depuis cinq ans, je connais déjà le milieu et le style de travail qui y est pratiqué. En rédigeant j 'ai analysé la situation dans ma propre classe, la confrontant avec celle de mes collègues dans d'autres établissements. Après avoir validé le niveau des objectifs généraux et les méthodes pour les atteindre avec la coordinatrice du Programme scolaire Mgr. Naďa Černá, j 'ai tenté de tester la théorie avec mes élèves de l'année précédante en mettant en oeuvre les activités prévues (cf. photos illustrant l'atmosphère en classe) et j 'ai constaté que les élèves parviennent à les remplir sans grands problèmes. Cíl práce: Sportovní a rekreační možnosti v oblasti Kokořínska Sports and recreative possibilities in Kokořín area Seznámit se s problematikou cestovního ruchu, charakterizovat vymezený region, představit jeho sportovní a rekreační možnosti, pokusit se vlastními nápady vylepšit stávající situaci a především zaujmout potenciální návštěvníky této oblasti. Dále navrhnout víkendový program pro tři rozdílné sociální skupiny. Metoda: V největším rozsahu byla použita metoda popisné analýzy objevených dokumentů a dále pak dotazování, především formou osobních neformálních rozhovorů, ale také dotazování elektronické.Využit byl i dotazník a především pak práce s internetem. Výsledky: Mohou pomoci k lepší propagaci regionu a nabízejí možnost seznámit se s touto oblastí nejen pro turisty a návštěvníky. RNDr. Veronika Opletalová Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis The relationship between structure and activity of potential modulators of acetylcholinesterase The Ph. D. thesis is focused on finding structure activity relationships for the acetylcholinesterase activity modulating compounds. Standard in vitro test using rat brain homogenate as the source of acetylcholinesterase was chosen for enzyme activity assay. Later, the procedure employing the colorimetric approach according to Ellman was developed. New procedure for inhibitory efficacy assessment based on Ellmanʼs method was designed as well. Aldoxime reactivators are mainly used as the causal antidotes of organophosphorus compounds intoxications. Organophosphorus compounds are widely used for agricultural purposes as pesticides, and in the industry as a plasticizers or flame retardants. Beside the peaceful purposes, they were also developed as nerve agents applicable for chemical warfare. Toxic mechanism of the compounds is formation of covalent bond with serine (Ser203) hydroxyl in active site of acetylcholinesterase. Unfortunately, none of the currently used reactivators is able...
