International assignments with concentration on the effects of culture differences in a work process
Chytráčková, Kateřina ; Pivoňková, Lucie (referee) ; Tureckiová, Michaela (advisor)
In my work I intend to prove that the issue of international assignment is a very broad area, with a theoretical background in many scientific disciplines, including adult education, intercultural communications, social psychology, human resources management and others. Despite global tendencies and culture convergence there are significant differences in merits, positions and moral values that are shared among members of each culture. These cultural differences might bring specific problems into communication with other culture members and they might also lead to misunderstanding and conflicts. For a better understanding of another culture it is very important to get to know the specific cultural differences and learn to respect them. For a successful work in the international environment it is necessary to master another important competence - an ability to communicate in the multicultural environment. In my work I will address the above mentioned issues. In the empirical part of my work I will demonstrate on the foreign assignments how to prevent problems that are linked with cultural differences and various corporate cultures and outline ways how to solve these problems.

Modelování dvounohého robotu: Kinematické numerické modely
Grepl, Robert
Modelling of kinematics is one of the basic task related to walking machines. In this paper, we present the buildingof numerical computational forward and inverse kinematic models of bipedal robotic leg. Models are implementedin Matlab/Simulink/SimMechanics environment. All computations are numerical only, so no analytical model isformed. Advantages and disadvantages of such approach are discussed. The role of this way of modelling in wholedesign and development process is also mentioned.

Aerodynamic support for a big rotating machines
Šimek, J. ; Kozánek, Jan ; Šafr, M.
Aerodynamic bearing support for a 100 kW input industrial turboblower was designed and partly tested. Rigid rotor with about 50 kg mass was run up to the maximum operating speed of 18.000 rpm. The rotor is supported in two aerodynamic tilting-pad journal bearings 120 mm in diameter, the axial forces are taken up by aerodynamic thrust bearing 250 mm in diameter. The tests showed trouble-free operation of journal bearings up to maximum operating speed.

Conformity assessment in commerce policy of EU countries
Kozlovská, Barbora ; Plášková, Alena (advisor) ; Skopal, Jaroslav (referee)
Difference between technical standards, legislation and certification and testing procedures in specific EU countries complicates unification of international markets. Therefore international standards and procedures for conformity assessment of products that are connected to Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade have been created. Completion of all requirements, standards, procedures and marking, including proposals regarding resolving problematic areas, is the main content of this diploma thesis.
