Comprehansive rehabilitation of children and youth with multiple disabilities

The theoretical background of the diploma thesis discusses the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and youth with multiple disabilities in the Czech Republic with regard to the pedagogical and social aspects of the comprehensive rehabilitation. The phenomenon of multiple disabilities, possibilities for education of children and youth with multiple disabilities and the system of social services for this target group are presented here. The methods for supporting children and youth with multiple disabilities (basic stimulation, physiotherapy, animal assisted therapy, music therapy) are characterised. The research carried out in a chosen institution employed the following research methods: in-depth interviews with social workers, document analysis and observation. The research focused on the realization of the methods for supporting clients of the institution. It also explored whether the methods are applied in compliance with the principals of comprehensive rehabilitation.

to the thesis Education policy transfer: case study of Slovakia inspired by Finland Abstract Bachelor Thesis Education policy transfer: case study of Slovakia inspired by Finland deals with the case study of the Slovak education system, whose planned reform is inspired by the generally positive perception of the Finnish model. The Slovak Ministry of Education expressed its decision to reform the Slovak education system based on the Finnish one-structure model in the National Education and Training Development Program. This decision can be defined as an attempt to voluntarily transfer education policies. The research is conducted on three levels. First of all, the thesis deals with the motivation of Slovakia to reform its system based on the Finnish model with an emphasis on the role of international rankings in education, especially PISA rankings. The focus of the thesis is a comparative analysis, which aims to thoroughly compare and describe six selected criteria (characteristics - geographical, historical, political; development of education systems, structure of education systems, financing of education, inclusion in education and the position of teachers) related to the transfer of education policy between Finland and Slovakia and their overall context. This thesis deals with comparing the educational system in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. It focuses mainly on mapping the current systems, their organization, structure, but also includes excursion into the history of education in both countries. The practical part describes the current projects or the projects carried out in the past in education between the twin cities (Chrudim and Ede). The aim is to analyze both systems, their common features and differences.
Autonomy of directors and teachers in the current Chinese educational system

This thesis looks at the Chinese educational system and the autonomy that directors and teachers share in the decision making process. It not only examines the educational system as a whole but analyses different levels of the educational system, puts an emphasis on the autonomy of teachers and directors in a school environment, and introduces various school reforms in China since 1976. Consequently, it clarifies the current Chinese educational system with an emphasis on various organizational levels along with the power they have in the decision making process and the options for creating change. Through the study of key documents of the Chinese educational system, political system, and other foreign literature, the legislative processes and documents that are responsible for the Chinese educational policies are made apparent. The thesis compares the official Chinese educational system's documents and processes with the actual situation. Communication abilities of pupils with autism in the Czech Republic and Great Britain

The special educational needs teaching practice varies in many European countries. From the Czech Republic with its strictly differentiated Special Educational Needs framework which belongs under the Special Education, to Great Britain that has great inclusive policies and differentiates the National Curriculum according to each pupil learning needs. During my work experience within special education needs teaching practice in Great Britain and the Czech Republic I have observed the benefits of each system. I would like to share the experience so I have narrowed my interested to the pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and their communication skills. To find the right communication approach is the crucial point in education of pupils with autistic spectrum disorder. In course of five years I have been observing six different pupils with autistic spectrum disorder based in various special schools in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. I have noted which communication approaches were chosen at the beginning of their school entrance and how it influenced their success in the learning subject of Jazyk a jazyková komunikace and English. Comparison of Sign Language Interpreters'Education Systems in the Czech Republic and the Great Britain

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of sign language interpreters' education systems in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. The objective is a comparison of possibilities, availability and quality of sign language interpreters' education in said countries. The thesis attempts to evaluate and define the main differences between the systems and subsequent submission of possible changes for the sign language education system in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part briefly describes the basic concepts and terminology in connection to hearing impairment that is relevant for the topic, the specifics of the Czech Sign Language, British Sign Language and International Sign as well as the comparison of sign language interpreters' education in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. The research part is processed by quantitative research, specifically in the form of an anonymous survey and concentrates on the analysis of the current situation through the eyes of the interpreters themselves. The thesis output is an evaluation of the survey together with the submission of proposals for possible modifications of the current czech sign language interpreters' educational system in the Czech Republic.
