Current trends in social marketing of the food sector

The Bachelor Thesis, titled Current trends in social marketing of the food sector, deals with the usage of food waste as a topic in the communication activities of grocery retailers in the Czech market. The thesis aims to find out what the motivation of the retail chain companies is to adopt practices that reduce the food waste. On the contrary, the thesis also looks at what the barriers in this matter are. The objective is also to analyse these activities and to assign them to marketing theory. The theoretical part of the thesis works with the terms social marketing and corporate social responsibility, occurring in the food industry. The paper describes the reasons why the problem of food waste became a public discussion. The next part is dealing with the analysis of the domestic market with the food retailer chains. The practical part is based on a survey examining an approach of the food retailer chains to the topic of food waste. The answers of the seven representatives of food retailed chains management in the Czech market are interpreted.
Manipulation in Advertisement

The bachelor thesis deals with the means of manipulation in advertisement. It is based on the findings of psychology, sociology and especially neuromarketing. It describes the model of advertisement acceptance. The process of advertisement acceptance includes learning and remembering, the success of which is directly influenced by emotion. The concept of advertisement popularity and its measuring is further described. The thesis focuses on how advertising manipulates with emotions in order to make customers purchase goods. The common ways of affecting senses which directly sway emotions are also described. The issues of subliminal advertising, product placement, package design and layout of stores are also dealt with. The final part focuses on the legal regulation of advertisement in the Czech Republic.
Stock Management in the Store

This thesis is called "Stock Management in the Store". The main aim of the thesis is to determine the optimal size and composition of inventory assortment in the store. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretic and practic one. The first part was focused on stock management in the business unit. The selected store was characterized in the practical part. Subsequently, was selected five specific samples of goods selected assortment categories - meat products, dairy products, pasta and drinks. On these groups of products was accomplished optimization. This optimization was accomplished by analysis of selected products, Economic Order Quantity and Direct Product Profilitability.
Newly-built mixed-use building Brno, Sadová

The building will have five floors above ground and one underground floor. The underground floors will be used for car parking. The first floor will be located several shops. For better understanding of issues I occupy with theory in the first part, which I put in place in the next capture. The target of this thesis is made a suggestion or else implement marketing process. The target is reached thanks to the strategic analysis.
Supermarket in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to design and check steel structure of single-nave hall used as a supermarket. Structure is situated in suburban area of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The ground plan dimensions of designed structure are 27,0 m x 52,2 m. The maximal height of structure is 11,315 m. The main load-carrying structure is formed of 10 main frames in distance 5,8 m. The main frame forms shed roof with inclination of 7°. Main frame is made of web-plate columns and truss. Purlins are simply supported on upper belt of truss. Rigidity of structure is ensured by transverse and longitudinal brace. Roof cladding is made of sandwich panels laid directly on purlins. Peripheral cladding is made of sandwich panels as well, it is self-carrying and it is not part of this project.
Efficient and economic establishment of supermarkets according to the needs of production in the automotive industry

The main focus of this diploma thesis is on efficient and economic establishment of in-house logistics decentralised parts storage areas, called supermarkets, from which parts are feeded to the assembly line, in line with just-in-sequence philosophy. The paper is divided into seven chapters, first three chapters give theoretical basics for establishment of supermarkets. They introduce process management, Toyota produciton system and supermarket concept. Fourth, fifth and sixth chapters map and evaluate the supermarket situation in ŠKODA AUTO a.s., including the introduction of the company, its production system, supermarket situation and their optimalisation in 2013. In the last chapter, an analyses of several supermarkets is presented, with a suggestion for improvement of efficiency in these supermarkets.
World distribution chain, and their influence in shaping the retailing in the region

The aim of this thesis is about issue of detail chain in South Bohemia. It examines their history, development, contemporary situation and next their influence on retail trade in region. Here we find some interesting observation of sector of retail trade sale in South Bohemia. The essay show how it is difficult to be retail businessman and keep own part on local trade. In practical part this fact proves marketing research which was dedicated to this problem.
Applying lean produktion in the selected company

Bachelor thesis consists of two parts: a literature review and their own work. Literature review explains the reader with issues concerning situation of the automotive industry and lean manufacturing. Topics concerning the situation of the automotive industry deals with the number of cars in the Czech Republic and the world. There is an explanation of lean manufacturing and selected methods, explaining the difference between gradual improvement and improving jump. The actual work consists of chapters on the characteristics of the company, the structure of production and planning, manufacturing process selected group of products, material flows of goods and estimating losses, adding value and suggests possible zlepšení.Vše is applied to the company ŠKODA AUTO a. s., in that its activity is analyzed for calendar year 2012. Finding the necessary information regarding the operation of the company was studying the annual reports, websites and communication with executives including a tour of the museum and business operations.
Selected aspects of the retail supplier-purchaser relations

The Diploma thesis ,Selected aspects of the retail supplier-purchaser relations' defines British grocery retailing. It presents government bodies which regulate retail industry and important independent not-for-profit organizations which have a strong influence on the market situation. It introduces the reader into legislation which regulates supplier-purchaser relations, particularly the Supermarket Code of Practice and its revised version the Groceries Supply Code of Practice. The analytical part examines the British market at the macroeconomical level, outlines the grocery retailing structure, describes the supply chain, customer behaviour, points out certain pricing and product policy trends and presents subjects which are bonded by the provisions set out in the Groceries Supply Code of Practice. The findings on local market competition and barriers which prevent the entry by a competitor are of a high significance as well. Despite the introduction of legal regulation the supplier-purchaser relations remain unequal and unfair. The thesis proposes a forecast of possible future grocery market development in the United Kingdom.
