Management Functions in Public Administration

This work explores managerial functions and their use in the public sector. The primary focus is on the four following functions: planning, organizing, decision making and communication. The subject of the work is a specific labor office. To emphasize the focus on the target area, the work also analyzes the differences between public and private sector both in theory and in practice. The data was collected through conducting interviews with several managers of the labor office on different management levels. The interviews took place at the labor office with a set time limit and questions that were prepared in advance. The intended purpose of this work is to create and suggest plausible changes for the betterment of the system based on the collected data from the interviews. The result focuses on tailoring changes fitting specifically for the subject while taking the reality such as legal and political limitations into consideration.

Title: Management Comparison of JKA Sports Karate Association in the Czech Republic and Abroad Goals: This thesis deals with the problematic of management in sports karate organizations in selected European countries. The aim is to give suggestions for management improvement in selected organizations. The suggestions will be based on an analysis of managerial functions and subsequent comparison of Czech and foreign organizations. Methods: For this thesis I used the methods of structured non-standardized interview, descriptive analysis, SWOT analysis and comparison. Results: The results of the thesis are proposals for implementation in problematic parts of each organization. The changes are proposed in managerial functions of planning, organizing and staffing and improvement of sponsorship and promotional activities. Hidden curriculum and the possibility to influence it from different levels of the organizational structure

In the theoretical part of this thesis research concepts curriculum and hidden curriculum. The following is a list of managerial functions that influence hidden curriculum music school. The following contains areas for specific training in music schools. In the empirical part is based on data found in the research questionnaire survey and the data obtained in the interviews that were conducted on a random sample of respondents from among the directors, representatives, department heads and teachers of music schools. The aim of the research is to compare whether and to what extent the respondents were involved in activities that may affect the hidden curriculum in the music school. Activities affecting the hidden curriculum of various organizational positions were determined on the basis of interviews with respondents in the pilot study. The work provides an interpretation of the curriculum and the hidden curriculum. Searches concepts was based on the use of our and foreign literature. Following are sorted managerial activities related to the management of the curriculum in music schools.

Leadership styles of the school canteen managers

Thesis deals with the issue of people management and management styles of school canteens managers. The theoretical part of the thesis, based on the literature, deals mainly with the various ways of management, personality of the manager and his role in the team. The research took place among school canteens managers, which are part of the elementary schools, and provides an assessment of the cerrent situation. The aim of my work was to analyze the current used methods of management of school canteens managers and to propose optimal management style in school canteens at the basic school. The final thesis is focused on the managerial function of people management.

Management of nursery school with more separated workplaces

Final thesis presents a comparison of the management of kindergartens, which are divided according to given specifications. This segmentation was the fact kindergartens with more separated workplace, which became the subject of further research. In the theoretical part defines the basic concepts of management. The survey is aimed at business functions. Terminology each function highlights the importance of the issue of management control. In the empirical part was used a quantitative survey questionnaire form created in Google Docs. The results were transferred to the clear graphs and tables for further use. Works by respondents from the region Mladá Boleslav, where forty-six nursery schools. Subsequent research was focused on qualitative research with a focus on kindergarten with more separated workplace. Respondents with personal meetings to answer questions formulated. These survey results were recorded in tabular summaries and further processed for further research. The information obtained with the respondents in managerial positions revealed an overall view of managing organizations. Nursery School Management in Central Bohemia - Managerial Functions

The topic of this thesis is the management system of kindergartens in Central Bohemia from the perspective of applying managerial functions. Due to legislative changes, kindergartens were more or less given considerable autonomy imposing high requirements on their directors in the area of management. The quality of educational process of each kindergarten and its further development potential depends on its management. The research part focuses on strategic planning, communication system parameters, obligations of employees, task delegation, implementation of inspection activities and school evaluation system parameters. The aim of this thesis is to point out potential problems concerning the management of kindergartens as well as to compare large and small kindergartens in individual management areas.
