Abstract The thesis aims to analyze the development of Turkey's foreign policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2009, with a focus on the reciprocity between neo-Ottomanism and pragmatism. This will be presented following the political, cultural, and economic role of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main argument of the thesis is that there has been a shift from a values-based approach towards a more pragmatic orientation in Turkey's relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The thesis aims to answer the research question of to what extent has this shift had any impact on its relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2009. The findings indicate that Turkey's foreign policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina can be seen as a blend of both neo- Ottoman and pragmatic elements, depending on Turkey's activity in the country, but in recent years pragmatism prevails. In spite of that, pragmatism didn't negatively affect the positive and close relations between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina but it further strengthened the ties between these countries. The Foreign Activities of the European Union

The bachelor's thesis entitled "Foreign Activities of the European Union" deals with processes and internal affairs and their subsequent impact on setting priorities in concluding bilateral and multilateral agreements on the international level. The work defines the integration development, starting with the Coal and Steel Treaty, the Treaties of Rome, the Schengen Agreement, the Single European Act, the creation of the European Union, the Maastricht Treaty, the Treaty of Amsterdam and the Reform Treaty of Lisbon. The thesis defines necessary key institutions of the Union and determines the coordinated activities that independent institutions have towards non-member countries or international organizations, or fundamentally participate in the future direction of the European Union's international activities. The bachelor's thesis presents the procedures of foreign trade negotiations, then the development and activities of the Common Foreign and Defence Policy of the European Union and the European External Action Service and the publication of foreign instruments of the EU. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to find out and determine which politics and internal affairs of third countries are primarily influenced by the foreign activities of the European Union. On the basis of bilateral and multilateral agreements concluded between or among the European Union and other states or international groupings, the work defines examples in practice where changes in internal affairs are visible in certain areas, such as changes in the legislative framework, which were the result of the subject enforced by European Union. The bachelor thesis specifically assesses taxes, transport, energy, economic affairs, humanitarian aid and civil protection, human rights, regional affairs, justice and home affairs, space affairs, education and culture, employment and social affairs, environment and climate change, and lastly agriculture and food safety. The influence of the European Union on individual sub-activities of non-member states is defined into three groups. Most affected, average affected and least affected.

Grants as a foreign policy instrument to promote democratic values in Central Europe: The case of EEA and Norway Grants

This thesis looks at how a nation outside the EU, but inside EFTA, reacts to the illiberal changes and democratic backlashes in Poland and Hungary. To do so, it has looked at how particularly Norway positions itself in response to the said developments. The work undergone in this paper aims at contributing to the very scarcely covered topic of EEA and Norway Grants, which until this day continues to receive very little attention academically. The paper's research question is "How does Norway, through the EEA and Norway Grants, attempt to promote liberal democratic values in Central Europe?" To find evidence of how Norway aims at promoting liberal democratic values abroad, case studies on the EEA and Norway Grants in Poland and Hungary have been conducted. These two were chosen for several reasons but mainly summarised due to being objects of harsh critique both by the EU and by EFTA. Data and information were largely collected through a qualitative literature review of official reports and articles, and through talks with respective advisors. Russian Eurasianism: Geopolitical plan to conquer the world?

Eurasianism emerged more than hundred years ago as an intellectual emigre movement after the First World War, mainly as a theory of national values and traditions. In my thesis, I examine how did this politico-philosophical ideology evolved into its Neo-Eurasian version which is popular under the current Russian system. As most of the Eurasian papers were never translated into English and the available; contemporary literature tends to be critical about Eurasian ideology without being examined properly, I decided to translate and evaluate the original texts too. In my bachelor thesis I focused on topics of Eurasian geopolitics. I compared the main classic works of the western geopolitical analysts to the Neo-Eurasian writings and explained the historical background of this land. I analysed into what extend is the Kremlin following the (Neo)Eurasian Doctrine after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Also, how Russian Federation incline towards the eastern states after conflicts and misunderstanding with the western states. I collected and compared the information from the official documents, historical writings of the Russian and foreign authors and the geopolitical predictions of the past century. Attitudes of Czechs towards U.S. Foreign Policy and Role of America in the World - November/December 2021

75% of Czechs against 15% think that the U.S. in their foreign policy prioritize their own power and economic interests, and 59% against 28% believe that U.S. do not take into consideration the opinion of the world community. According to 42% of Czech citizens the current foreign policy of the U.S. represents a threat to today’s world, while 40% have the opposite opinion. The opinion that in relation to undemocratic regimes the United States is entitled to use military force is shared by 24% of Czech citizens, whereas 64% oppose it.

EU democracy promotion in contemporary sub- Saharan Africa: the case study of South Sudan

Democracy promotion aims to force or encourage a foreign state to become more democratic. This includes direct democracy assistance, or direct financial aid or training to the electoral arena, government and civil society, but also rhetorical commitments, political gestures, information dissemination, sanctions, conditionality and through "soft power" - cultural ties and their significance in promoting European values. The Diploma Thesis EU democracy promotion in contemporary sub-Saharan Africa: the case study of South Sudan examines these strategies as they were used by EU actors in democracy promotion in South Sudan. South Sudan is the youngest country in the world, and the EU, both in terms of EU institutions and member states has aided the country in its uneasy development to become a democratic state. How EU actors attempted to accomplish this, and how have these strategies changed between 2011 and 2020 is the focus of the research. The thesis comes to the conclusion, that the EU used a top- down approach, engaging more with government and other state institutions than with civil society.
