"Mobbing" - psychological terror in the workplace and its impact on jobs.

The bachelor thesis is focused on psychological terror at work - mobbing. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters, which deal with defining the concepts of mobbing. There are described characters, goals, causes, motives, reactions of victims, consequences and prevention of defense against mobbing. The practical part consists of a mixed research, qualitative as interviews and quantitative in the form of questionnaires. Within the qualitative research there are realized three case studies of victims of mobbing. There is characteristics of organization where victims of mobbing or bossing faced, further rise, progress, development, addressing their situation and future plans.
Problems of discrimination in working environment

This thesis deals with the current issue of discrimination in the workplace, especially focuses on discrimination based on age and sex, sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace, legislation that regulates the area of discrimination in labor relations. The theoretical section includes explanations of terms and connections to a given focus and the practical part includes a probe into five large companies examining whether the effects mentioned in the theoretical part actually occur in practice, or how these problems are solved. This probe was in the form of semi-structured interview respondents in their workplaces. The results confirmed the claim that one of the most vulnerable group are women. Larger companies are trying to provide them a variety of advantages as for example flexible-time work, etc. Some companies have confirmed that there were some cases of bullying or sexual harassment in their firm, but these situations have not been solved other than by the dismissal of one of the participants. However, the occurrence of age discrimination was in the surveyed companies not confirmed - despite the theoretical claims and personal experience. Bullying in the Intensive Care Units

Bullying in the intensive care units. The main mission of this thesis is to describe an issue called mobbing. The primary target is to get information about rate of bullying in the intensive care units in south Bohemia, especially in Prachatice and Strakonice city and to know how many percent of employees / paramedics of the intensive care units were already touched by bullying. This kind of information we got by anonymous questionnaires, set up from 23 questions with open and closed form. In theoretical part I deal with actual status, explaining term of mobbing, bossing, causes of bullying, characteristic of the participants, bullying in the health service in the Czech republic. In the conclusion I show prevention and tolerance of mobbing and bossing. In practical part I point on assesment of hypothesis and evaluation of the target of my thesis. I suppose that the chicane show up in small measure on the workplace of the intensive care units. From my point of view I think that women working in the intensive care units are getting in a touch of bullying much more than men. In this part I want to show a methodology of research, parameter of complex and evaluation of research. In conclusion I get back to evaluation of research and starting a discussion. Mobbing – nebezpečný fenomén naší doby

Publikace se zaměřuje na šikanu v práci, tzv. mobbing. Tento jev úzce souvisí s bezpečností práce - pod vlivem mobbingu dochází u oběti k mnoha změnám, které mohou mít za následek zvýšenou míru selhání, chyb či úrazů. Obrana jednotlivce je složitá, proto by měli pomoci kolegové. Ti však zůstávají pasivní. Důvodem je ve většině případů strach a nechuť přivodit si svým zásahem potíže. Ignorace a tolerance mobbingu však plyne i z nedostatku informací o tomto jevu. Cílem publikace je poukázat na nebezpečnost mobbingu, přispět k větší informovanosti a rozkrýt, jak se projevuje, koho se týká a jak se mu bránit. Jinak budou schopní lidé dále odcházet ze zaměstnání, které je baví jenom proto, aby se zbavili nepříjemných pocitů a osvobodili se od nekalých praktik mobbera.

Preventing social pathologies in employment relations (for example the employer)

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems concerning the prevention of social pathologies in employment relations. The first part defines the key forms of pathological behaviour mobbing, bossing, staffing. The thesis then shows the causes and strategies of these pathological phenomena and the consequences of mobbing on several levels personal and economic. Different forms of prevention used by companies in order to avoid these social pathologies are shown in the theoretical part of this thesis. The practical part focuses on an analysis of the effectiveness of prevention in a specific company. Data are obtained through half-structured interview with the manager of the company and through the questionnaires. The survey results find that prevention in the company is effective. The conclusion suggests the measures of how to improve current state of prevention. Proposals for changes concern - the method of remuneration and assessment, raising awareness of the existence of mobbing among employees, and the establishment of regular company meetings that deal with working environment.

Negative social phenomenons in the workplace

The bachelor thesis deals with conflicts, mobbing, bossing, staffing,sexual harassment and racism in the workplace. The thesis consists of two parts. The first one, theoretical part, explains and clarifies these negative social phenomenons. Its task is to provide comprehensive information concerning the causes, discourses, stages and impact of negative social phenomenons on the individual and organization. In the second part, practical one, there is analysis and summary of survey that has been done among pedagogues in three primary schools. The objective of this part is to find out the appearance of negative social phenomenons described in the teoretical part in the school workplaces.
Mobbing and Bossing as a Modern Problem

A bachelor's thesis describes mobbing and bossing as a pathological phenomen of a modern society and it is looking for ways how to spread information about this psychological terror among people. The theoretical part deals with the issue of mobbing and bossing, defining the terms, describing their causes, phases and tactics and subsequent health results. The work includes graphs and charts for better understanding and comparison of dates and some information of publications and questionnaires. The practical part deals with analysis of the appearance of mobbing and bossing in Kutna Hora locality. The aim of this thesis is a description and characteristic of terms, characters of a mobber and wictims, tactics of achieving of mobbing and bossing and the possibility of prevention or defense. It is necessary to remark that mobbing and bossing are long-term issues that can not be explained or resolved in the only thesis. The dates are approximate, corresponding to only a small sample of the population.
Negative workplace phenomena and methods of prevention of their occurrence in the leadership system.

The objective of this thesis is to introduce negative phenomena in the workplace, specify various forms in which they occur (such as mobbing, bossing, bullying and sexual harassment), define the related terms and find factors which affect the desirable environment within a company as well as the occurrence of the negative factors. The contribution of the practical part of the thesis lies in the analysis of a survey which is focused on the existence of individual phenomena and on determining the strengths and weaknesses of a labour-law relation based on an evaluation of the relation between importance and satisfaction. The thesis concludes by summarizing the general principles of preventive approaches to the occurrence of negative phenomena, and by specifying the roles of individual levels of the company's management.
A Man to a Man - A Study of Mobbing, Bossing and Staffing in a Medical Facility

The thesis deals with mobbing, bossing and staffing in a workplace and its occurrence in a selected medical facility. In its theoretical part, the thesis defines the common and different features of these pathological phenomena. It includes a list of research findings from studies conducted in the Czech Republic, and those carried out in the Czech healthcare. In its experimental part, the thesis describes a questionnaire survey, aiming to establish awareness of these issues, personal experience with them in the selected workplace, people's responses and ways of dealing with them, as well as changes occurring in victims of psychological terror. It also establishes staff satisfaction in the medical facility.The survey findings may not be extrapolated to the entire medical facility, yet it shows occurrence of the pathological phenomena in the particular workplace. The survey identified two victims of mobbing who do not know how to deal with their situation, who they could approach to get help, or how to defend themselves. In conclusion, specific managerial measures are listed.
